Karma

blaming destiny
I am a man of free will
    I reap what I sow

    intent and action
I inherit my own deeds
will my past haunt me?

Very philosophical write, Paul! I believe all our deeds and actions will come back to us, be they good or ill. Regards, John.

You can't escape karma. Your lines leading up to your last reveal you know the answer. I strongly believe in Karma, and often it is instant. Soup mail

I think Newton's rule that for every action there is a reaction works just as nicely. Thanks for reading my Nude Descending a Staircase. I hope you're familiar with the image? / M

Yes, Maurice.....Newton's rule just about gathers the whole concept in a nut shell. And another yes re the painting...I did go and look it up...curiosity got the better of me:) All the best. // paul

Most important thing God has done to us that He has given us free will.Good or bad the choice is ours. Good follows Good and Bad follows Bad that is Karma( grossly speaking). We believe that it overlaps many births to establish a divine justice. It should not be seen or judged in a limited time-frame.Regards Paul>rajat

What an amazing write, Paul. You've entitled it Karma, but this is place to read in the Bible as well: "Be not fooled, a man reaps what he sows." Personally, I don't believe in Karma. A lot of bad people prosper and thrive, but there is a judgment day for all. I think what the verse means is when you nurture evil, you feed and water it, you will be consumed by it....if not in this world...on judgment day. Our past CAN haunt us...natural consequences of what we do. Lovely thought provoking write.

Love your insightful thoughts, Eileen! I too am not a karma believer as such, but I'm intrigued by it; it manages to set my mind in motion; I'm also attracted by its symbol, the lotus flower and what it stands for. Thanks for stopping by. hugs // paul

Very powerful pen Paul! I am a firm believer in the Karma, that we reap what we sow and that sooner or later we'll get the product of whatever we've been planting around in our daily lives be good or evil. It will be results of our choices and my friend we better watch out for that , I do! Sooner or later it will catch us up. Yes sir!Your words are very wise my dearest friend. I really enjoyed you piece! A 7 from me! :) Have a great day! Love and hugs! xxxxx D:). ^O^

Hi Dorian! Karma is a very interesting subject; it makes me think, which is a good thing. Ok, at times we grumble because the good seem to be victims, while the bad appear to have it all....but that's how we see it through human eyes...the master of all surely is more in the know! Thank you for a lovely visit and mature comments. Hugs...and have a nice weekend. // paul
