Best Intentions Poems
~~~~~~~~
wanted to shelter you
keep you from harm
erase all your pain
extend loving arms
offer my warmth
under winged canopy
escape for one moment
and be...
you and me
Vigilante wannabe
Intentions always good
Lost causes are his nemesis
Loyalty his strength
Abysmally annoying
Gauche socially to say the least
Egomaniac~ there’s one in every village
Night skies bend through fading light
spectrum hints of prodigy pale might
restless moons hold her penchant still
burning up in an ever aching sky till
Forehead to forehead wonderments lie
stargazes trapped among cinnamon eyes
dance naked amid sensual tips of desire
fires fed stoked gasped airs spilling higher
Hush the night roam in fantasy fields
foreign found objects of affection yield
faint scratches the surface silently burns
affected simper rest transient intentions yearn
False Intentions
It wasn’t my intentions to fall for you…
just wanted some company
but more than a quickie
I guess we can’t be friends
to her you should tend
There were some feelings I was feelin’
so I had to build that “so-called wall”
I’m not mad at you but I’m mad at me…
How could I be blinded?
not controlling my feelings
That’s not me…
I’m stronger than that
From anyone I can flee…
Out of sight and out of mind
I ease out like the breeze…
I couldn’t stick around this time
cause it wasn’t for me
I was just blind to something that wasn’t mine
but seeking won’t make you find…
It’s like you had me in a trap
But I took out the map in my mind
Laid it out, and I’m back on track
The submission to your application
for your so-called invention has been rejected…
misunderstood…. but comprehend those false intentions.
Blind Sight
-Meghan C. Hutchings
Have you really looked at me,
Beyond my skin so pale?
Do you know my deepest thoughts,
The secrets that I veil?
Have you really looked at her,
Beyond her skin, light brown?
Do you know her hopes and dreams,
The pain behind her frown?
Have you really looked at him,
Beyond his skin, so dark?
Do you know his goals and fears,
Or how he’ll leave his mark?
Have you really seen yourself,
Beyond your outer hue?
Beneath the surface, find your truth.
Expose the real you...
here is my rose
my heart on a stem
a gentle whisper
a soft caress
a murmur bent on a melody
a sparkle in the night
sweetest perfume
to catch your attention
a kiss blown your way
a playful wink
under a full moon
a siren's call
You can’t want it
More than they do
Stop meddling
You’re not helping
When they clearly
Don’t want your help
I understand
It’s inconceivable
That they refuse
To be as happy as you
It’s one of life’s mysteries
How some would rather
Wallow in their misery
Stop meddling
You can’t want it
More than they do
Fixing holes with good intentions.
Lions and tigers,
Dolphins and earthquakes.
Liars with cider,
Have nothing to say.
Animals and insects,
Bugs for breakfast.
Mammals need sex,
So find true love and get wed.
Life is a milk tray;
Oh behave!
Nothing left to say,
So gonna leave to get paid.
Fortune tellers remain silent.
Two moon sellers, offer no guidance.
A magic hat is a box of tricks.
Forget about that; keep it real or quit it!
Lions and tigers,
Dolphins and earthquakes.
Fliers and riders;
We are all running away.
Life is a bad day, work is a chore.
Write it right, or do not say,
I could do with more.
If you don’t care,
Then give up what you are;
But if you are prepared,
Then we can build a heart.
She’s asleep and does not hear
The creaks and shuffles entering in,
Corners stand in contrast to
The figures moving ‘round.
Darkness is a bleak covering for
eyes covered and enshrouded,
Stealthily they stand in shadows,
Plotting their misdeeds.
Slowly turning from the depth
Of sleep which surrounds,
Ill attuned to her physical world,
Unlimited dreamscapes soaring.
Is she alive? Did they leave?
She never heard or saw it coming,
How still she lay, statuesque
And scantily clad.
Snapping beans, the summer pastime
Filling Mason jars
With cornfield or half runners
Filling a crock with layers
Of beans and corn, canning salt
For pickled beans and corn
That would make my mouth water
Peeling ripe red tomatoes
That I called maters
Cutting them in wedges
Placing them in Mason jars
Adding a touch of salt
Sealing the lids and cooking
In a liquid water bath
For enough time to be sure
Those maters were preserved
For the winter weather
Chili, soup or spaghetti
Dicing cucumbers
Mixing them with vinegar
And all the spices, garlic
Everything that makes the best
Pickles ever tasted
They seem such a blessing
When the snowflakes hover
Near the windows, dusting
The entire mountain
With reflections of the season
As the harvest hands over its treasures
Beans, corn, maters and so much more
The wise worker from the fields
Leaves the front porch each day
With scrapes of bean strings, peelings
And excess husks so the pigs
Will be as blessed as the rest of us
Granny showed me how to can
She gave me her instructions
With a hug and a grin
Hoping to remind me to always
Blend a bit of love
Into everything I preserved
From garden to porch
From porch to jar
From jar to dish
Where the love is mixed in
So that everyone who samples
A dish from my kitchen
Knows that I have given
My very best intentions!
Lost in the Conscience Labyrinth
He dragged his wishes from silence.
Time showed it's magical smile,
Somewhat ironic, yet fair,
And let him spin around it's journey.
Some dreams were not followed,
As sand he held on hands,
Instead of stones.
Never learned to seperate
An oasis from a real lake,
So he was leaning to drink water
On every chance,
Yet his mouth stayed dry
After all those years.
No matter what color took his life,
It's just fair to say that
His intentions were always completely pure!
Her lips were;
A glistening red
Making my thirst for her
Ever so, bittersweet.
I used to gaze at her,
From across the room
To have sight of
Her radiant beauty.
Thoughts of her presence;
Ignites my inner senses
Her glow fills the room
Your intoxicating aura is so sensual.
If I could turn time around;
I'd do it in an instant
To relive life again with you
You are my heart's intentions.
My intention of being:
And yet
Still Being My Intentions
For All Eternity, I Love You!
My love, Shannon! R.I.P.
Hungry in all direction's
Hence this Redemption is
Here for you,
In the achievement
Of the
Magnitude of His blessings'
Ministered through
And threw
Through life He gives'
Abundantly and He finally
Calls' you home
For the Holy City is sacred
And you are His first born
The song wafted through the air,
scent of lurid happiness and
seductive sway beneath the veneer,
intermingling in their ears and
drew them together,
cast aside their fears
as they came close he whispered
in her ear...
Tears welled up, the dam broke
and they fell silently down her soft cheeks
three words she had heard before
three words she will hear no more
from any other man.
in the right order, they make perfect sense.
But Intentionality draws the line between
Love and less
