Adrift in sweet reverie while composing my journal
I sense myself wandering streets in solemn austerity
'Tis such a blunt shift from my usual musings nocturnal
To what do I owe this odd disturbing disparity?

In this vision I plod narrow alleys austere
A familiar dream within I-him I'm now aware
Presently it has become abundantly clear
We are one, he and I, as our souls we bare

In a flash the scene shifts to daybreak vernal and bright
In calm balmy bliss on guitar Bassa nova I-he strum
Dark angry clouds lift, azure clouds gleam bright
from whence have these diverse me phantoms come?

With a will I submit to my encyclopedia self
as inner projection reveals the multitudes I contain
Much more engaging than the one-I volume gathering dust on the shelf
My enigmatic space-time selves shall always remain

Absolute Knowing of the Inner Self

I connect to the mystical inside me

I connect with myself and listen to myself breathe,

I know that all of the answers residing in me

I understand that I can achieve as long as I believe,

Anything that I want achieve,

Be anything that I want to be

It's not up to anybody else it's all up to me

And every answer that I search for

And the life I seek lays there dormant,

Waiting for me to activate it,

To bring it to life through my conscious mind

And within me I have the capability,

To set my spirit free,

To reach out and construct a new me

Seeing things differently,

This world is real

But what we believe

Is all illusory,

If its what we have been fed

That poison in your head,

Is other people's views and beliefs

So go down deep within you,

Connect your mind and soul

And find your own answers,

Be strong and be bold

And cast aside everything you think you know,

Accept that you know nothing at all

And start again,

From new beginnings

And you will get there in the end,

To that place authentic

To the real you,

Casting off the lies

And living in truth,

It's what's within you

Mystical and true,

You are filled with love

So let that light shine through

And be the peace and be in that mindful place,

To grant your life a state of bliss and grace

That vibrates at a higher state,

Of frequency and being within you,

For I am doing the same,

I am on that path

And I am never going back again,

Don't look for it out there

For it's in you,

Be the impeccable light

And set your spirit free for all to view

And you will finally get to meet the real authentic you.

Some Musings on the Inner self

If in the stillness of our room
                                      We gently close our eyes,
From the very depth of the gloom
We may sense some far ties.

If in the midst of the silence
                                         We deep open our ears
                                      And ponder on our existence
We may a thin voice hear.

                                          If with a calm serenity
                                      We muse with peering sense,
                                            With mindful serenity
                                      We may learn life`s essence.

If in the pitch of solitude
We peer at our own soul,
We may feel a deep quietude
In our mind as a whole.

If in the peak of stern stillness
                                         We scan the inner self,
We may view a gleam of brightness
                                      That longs to guide ourselves.

In the depth of the inner self
                                       Lies some gentle brethren
                                    Very much akin to ourselves
                                         And a tender human.

The inner self is like a pond
                                        Reflecting man`s image,
                                  Cherishing human love and bond.
                                         All throughout the ages.

The inner self is a clean lake,
                                                              Reflects blue of the sky,
Even when we sleep, it`s awake
                                                               And marks a divine tie.

                                                                 It is ever clear bright
Leads on the path of light
                                                               Mirrors the truth upright.

Let`s not the inward depth forsake,
The inner self is a clean lake.

Premium Member Inner Self Renowned

Inner self renowned free; owned only by me in the thicket of the woods which is ticket to the
goods. Lovely dew drop, tear drop worries obliterated by the sun. Rings true that I don't
know what I've won but myself-- tiny, big, larger than life- Not! Famous to none; infamous to
one-- maybe! That old tree that never moves but to stalemate then check. Mark it off-- I'm
done! Approval, Approval, Approval! Stamp me authentically me. Nature calls no one as we
call it often. Rings true, I believe. Natural self looks like Apollo and Daphne in the minds eye
of keen perception. Distorted fragments of soapstone in my artist's mind recalls and carves
and older self. Rewind now, back to babyhood; not yet out of the woods of my sheltered life.
Sheltered life, comfortable; Sheltered strife, uncomfortable; Shelters galore, displaced
woman. Never to become morbidly serious about reality-- I'm an Aspen now in a darkened
mood detached adhered to my silverish, thirtyish leaves, leaving one silver-gray split hair on
the memory of the past which is still not true to self-- now in present life is hopeful and not
reproachful!

The Shadows of My Inner Self

The shadows of my inner self
containing gold of hidden wealth
of skills but dimly glimps’d within,
the shadows. Of my inner self,
I wonder now, how to begin,
discovering what is held within
the shadows of my inner self,
containing gold of hidden wealth.

Release Your Inner Self

Hard hearted one break down
those walls so hollow.
Listen to your heart and your
head will surely follow.

Hard hearted one
release your inner self.
There is no one like you
take your self off the shelf.

Hard hearted one
lose that empty stare.
There is so much love hidden
in you, reach with care.

Oh my hard hearted one,
please understand.

Life cannot grow for you if you don't
with the world, yourself share.

My Inner Self

Reaching in that hand of scorn
walking through traffic encased
welding heart inside my mind
I could hear him throughout my kind
I stand in hurt consumed by blame
a question since the beginning of time
I shut my eyes to dream in peace
the howls upon my back release
like all things the inevitable will come
those unidentified features of long ago...

From my window I do see
a voice calling to me
I awoke only to the edge of time
to a world of infectious lies
and the complacent days
allows me to share my thoughts
masters of pain, drowning butterflies
whose eyes will slice my inner self
with untamed obstacles, resting quietly
weathered worn from time,
cloudy with chances of dreaming
once again ...

Inner Self

Inner Self

To find ones soul is not that hard
if you just look what makes you you,
just simply find the inner self
that guides your steps in all you do.

Listen to that still small voice
and know this is the pathway to
the choices held by you alone,
not just where life is pushing you.

Meditate within your mind
and let your soul at last unfold
to give you knowledge from within
of strength and wisdom yet untold.

For only you and you alone
should ever choose the way you go,
let no other make you take
pathways you feel you should not know.

For soul and destiny are one
together walking hand in hand
your journey through this life is won
if inner self you understand.

My Inner Self

My inner self I don't know that well, we doing communicate that much, we try to get to know each other sometimes, yet I find it hard to talk or listen to closely, as we try to fight each other too much.

My inner self doesn't know what's best for me, it says that I'm not good enough to do anything right anymore, that I'm ugly, incapable of succeeding at anything worth doing well. I tell it to take a hike off the nearest bridge, and never come back again!!

My new outer self has come to take its soulful place in my heart of gold, because as I have been told that only I can truly feel happiness inside me. You can't see the sunshine shining on your own face if your thoughts are clouded over by a cloudy sky with thunder and storms, for you have to be willing to weather the storm and wait for the rainbow at the end of the storm.

My inner self has subsided, and opened the blinds and let the sunshine to our new renewed self. I love the person I am now, not to say th as t I am healed completely but that I am choosing to not be down in the dumps about the small things in life, because............

I AM loved,
I AM special,
I AM worthy of being LOVED...
I AM Beautiful

Premium Member My Inner Self

I have come from a distance not looking behind or in front of me.
I have felt the heat of a hot summer day and the frigid temperatures of a cold
winter day.
I know what it is like to be knocked off my feet,
I have been hit in the face and have felt the pain of defeat.
I walk a path that has no end.
I have entered places with no welcome.
I have cried in secret.
I have looked into my most inner self,
I have found happiness within myself and
with the help of no one else.

We go all out to fight with the surroundings
But forget to fight with our inner selves
So complex
Embedded with secret emotions, beliefs and thoughts
It pays to or you pay for
When having conflict or compromise
We see only others' mistakes
But not our own
Only when in trouble
Do we see God and his love
Inside our hearts may reside a saint or devil
We're reluctant or shy to show
Our real feelings in public
But when retreat to a corner
We find ourselves lost, confused and puzzled
The world is full of Charms, challenges, confrontations, tricks and traps
Any bad undertakings carry out by you
Will cause regrets
But for you or your inner self
No matter who is the betrayal to God
Both will suffer in the end

Allow me to tantalize you with a glimpse of my inner self.
Artistic in nature, wordy or just a line drawing of beauty,
that captures my core of thought.
Independent to some extent; my mind continually wonders and
wanders aimlessly about, searching viscerally for solace of
tranquility/harmony in a life that has been full of uncertainty.
A romantic of phrases drenching a heart of old wounds,
healing and consoling with a heavy imagination.
I want desperately to live in a place of concordance, if just for a day.
Wrap my love in confetti and shower the earth with exuberant laughter
and faith in itself.
I am a dreamer of hopefulness in reality, filling my memoirs with
profound conceptions of truth, honesty, and integrity in a world of
misconceptions, completely disregarding turmoil.

Letters To My Inner Self

Look in the mirror
Tell me- What do you see?
A young girl, barely a toddler?
A teenager on the night of her prom?
An mother....holding a young child?
An older woman...smiling at her husband after 50 happy years together?
Anything worth your while?
Anything your proud of?
Nothing at all?
Really....?
Look deep inside...under the skin.
Look in the mirror....
See your heart?
That's what you should have been looking at.
It's broken you say...now look over there.
A photograph....
You... your family.
Happy? Yes..
Then why so broken?
Come on pull yourself together....
Yes you may not know it now...but soon the young woman in that picture....no longer a
stranger...
But YOU!

My Inner Self

My inner self.

My soul is connected to the earth
My mind is all I know
My life, my art, my music is all I can share with the world
I’m humble; I inspire the person beside me
My family and my friends are my number one rule
Today I can share this with a stranger
Tomorrow I could die lying beside a stranger
I believe that my life is blessed
I have been divine to my friends
I listen with ears memorize with my eyes, my mind is my sacred home
If I could secure this world, I would save all the people that matter
I hate deceit, I hate poverty, I hate rules, and I hate not knowing
Not knowing how I could save the life of the one I know
My inner beauty is built to listen to the one I care about.
