My Many Selves

Adrift in sweet reverie while composing my journal I sense myself wandering streets in solemn austerity 'Tis such a blunt shift from my usual musings nocturnal To what do I owe this odd disturbing disparity? In this vision I plod narrow alleys austere A familiar dream within I-him I'm now aware Presently it has become abundantly clear We are one, he and I, as our souls we bare In a flash the scene shifts to daybreak vernal and bright In calm balmy bliss on guitar Bassa nova I-he strum Dark angry clouds lift, azure clouds gleam bright from whence have these diverse me phantoms come? With a will I submit to my encyclopedia self as inner projection reveals the multitudes I contain Much more engaging than the one-I volume gathering dust on the shelf My enigmatic space-time selves shall always remain

Robert the complexities of one's different self's manifest here in a dream of self examination. Realizing the the good moments of life in relaxing events such as "In calm balmy bliss on guitar Bassa nova I- he strum." Which was such a unique verse, sharing Brazilian soothing guitar playing, and inner peace in one's soul to " sensing yourself, "wandering streets in solemn austerity." In life there are sad moments to realize and wonderful ones to enjoy. My favorite verse is the ending one

Thank you, Mike. At times I have an inkling of what is going on beyond my sphere of knowing but usually I'm as stumped as anybody else. Am always on a quest for greater understanding. My best for you and yours, Robert

" My enigmatic space-time selves shall always remain." Which sums up the complex nature of realizing who we are and questioning the reason's why, being so difficult to understand. The great Sigmund Freud would have framed this Quatrain of yours Robert in his office. You share perplexed feelings that make up the human spirit, which you grasp to understand. An impressive write by you Robert and a Favorite for me.Thank you for posting and I hope your Thanksgiving was a fine one. God bless my friend...

Brilliant, Robert. The I-him paradigm as your subject and object was clever, fascinating, and compelling. It's clear you have reached lucidity and are aware of the dream. Inner projection discovery chosen brilliant, "balmy bliss on guitar Bassa nova I-he strum" I love Bassa nova music !! I give you the trophy. Faving ~ xAnaya

Thank you so much for your generous comment and trophy. I receive your symbolic trophy with humility and gratitude! I am soothed by the Bosa Nova rhythms as I partake in the lattes' at the coffee shops Smiling. My best, Robert
