Be Still

Whispered words arriving on teardrops of the wind
They call to me
Embracing me so that I may exhale
For a moment in time

I look down to see the child woman curled up on my lap
Quietly dreaming
I stroke her sleep dampened hair and
Caress her cheek gently with my palm

Oh, child of mine
Allow me to reach in and
Cradle your wounded heart
Let me carry your pain and worry
Stirring, she turns her face revealing
A half-eyed sleepy smile
A gift I have treasured for centuries

Remembering the day
I walked through the trees of time
Lime, emerald, forest green, moss, juniper, ochre, and kiwi
Yellow tinged velvet leaves ride silver breezes

Tree people
Miraculous sacred creatures
Birthed of mother nature
Beckon me onward and inward
Towards water’s edge where moving mirrors of
Intellect and mystery await me

I walk with my companion who rides on my shoulder
The white hawk of my dreams
Narrating our passage through space and time

Howl Howl Howl

Stories above me, monkeys wearing fur
Play and swing
Screeching, flying, and tumbling through the air

Reaching sacred river’s edge
I pause and hear silent footsteps
Of the others joining

I gaze at the flowing water
Reflections of the lost ones float by
Faces of those who have passed from this life
I reach out and kiss each one with my fingertips

All of us gather ~ standing and joining hands
Collectively we reach up towards the heavens
We rise as one
Taking a moment to listen and
Receive grace from one another
A glimpse and a grin are shared
As I squeeze the weathered hand
Of my fellow human

Up Up Up Up

We float above the majestic green canopy
A glorious carpet of
Lavender clouds awaits
The day moon and the day sun kiss
As they watch us rise
A moment of gratitude shared by all

A new borns cry
Tearful last good bye

Swaying waves of golden prairie grass
Shifting desert dunes - an hour glass

An acorn dropping among forest leaves
To mighty oak - a lifetime of dreams

The changing moon - to full again
Each morn' the sun - new skies begin

Eagles soar high - our hearts go there
These ripples in time - we all share

In that moment his eyes swirled
with all of the love he held for me;
with every ounce of life that he
would happily lay down for me

In that moment I felt the covering
of all the pain I had ever felt;
the vanishing of every tear shed
through the trials life had dealt

In that moment the wind whispering
my destiny became a roar;
lifting me from my path riddled
with obstacles, making me soar

In this moment my heart does
not hurt; my tears do not sting
Let me live in this moment for
life; until my requiem they sing

She hid the pain behind a smile
as she walked slowly down the aisle.
Her doubts she struggled to restrain
behind a smile she hid the pain.

Their chosen song the organ played,
She looked divine in gold brocade
a veil to match trailing along.
The organ played their chosen song.

Of jasmine scent a whiff she caught
to mind a picture swiftly brought
a one-night stand in secret spent.
A whiff she caught of jasmine scent.

She felt impaled by sword of guilt
that entered deep down to the hilt.
No breaths of healing were inhaled.
By sword of guilt she felt impaled.

She needed time to clear her mind
erase the present, press rewind
bring back the lustre, wash the grime
to clear her mind she needed time.

The film’s on ‘pause’. My fingers itch
to watch the rest, flick on the switch…
Will it be tears or loud applause!!
My fingers itch. The film’s on ‘pause’.

A Moment In Time....

Sleeping Beauties~ Moment in time....

As I reflected upon her picture; this fairytale revised ~

And how she disappeared so quickly

Yet but a passing vision before my eyes

Still not knowing, what it was about herself

Or why, her name kept resounding throughout my mind?!

For it seemed as though she had arisen out of nowhere

Amid this enchanting allurement, which had drawn me unto her soul ~

Trying to envision her, within my far away thoughts....

Knowing although, that it did not matter, in which way she shown?

Because it was her spirit that sparkled, her radiance unto me!

Listening to her voice; like the silver soothing waters, of a gently flowing stream

Her golden hair so glowing, as the rays of the rising sun

Tall and perfect; with a smile shining, like those of polished pearls

Eyes like transparent glass; bluer then the bluest skies

A touch as soft as the clouds; and her skin, as smooth as a virgins flower!

And as my lashes blinked, once more, it was then, that I could see her there....

Like a goddess of all man's dreams she was, flawless ~

Mesmerizing, her brilliance; as an Angel when she did appear

As I bowed my head, and thought to myself, again

How never I would of believed, that she, would have been the one....

But as a phantom which passes within the shimmering night

Beyond, the frosted window pane of sight

Before I had awakened, she was silently and suddenly gone

Yet my eyes still glimmer at the thought, of how radiant she has become ~

While she dances away upon the waters of her moment

I know now, that her beauty and her soul, shall forever glisten

These portraits of her wonders, deep, inside of me

Her~Like the stars within the heavens....

"Tis better to have lived and loved, then, to have never loved at all"

Upon the stage of life; where she pirouettes like a princess

Whirling within the winds of Eden; gleaming gracefully, as she turns ~

Smiling, as I watch her now; thinking, who would have ever known!?

Premium Member Swaying Slowly

Stepping into the dance
Gently taking your hand in mine
Entering the realm of infinite possibilities
Where passion and desire breathe as one
An eternal hug
Enveloping our laughter and tears

Swaying slowly
Your breath tickling my ear
We are guided by our mirrored hearts
Open to the ancient whispers within
Arms open wide in vulnerable flight
Encountering lavender vibrations
Nuances ~ miraculous moments
Distant drumming arrives
From within dense fragrant pines
Carried on silver musical notes
Pale turquoise sky
Brushes against our cheeks
We fill our lungs with moist cool air
Breathing in gratitude
Glorious heights surround us
Crag and gleam of crystal
Midnight ebony obsidian shafts
Gulls cry above
The smell of salty waves beckoning us below
I ride the foam in your welcome embrace
Glistening waves our chauffeur
Diving deeper
Into ocean’s chambers of kaleidoscope blue
Sunrays guide us
Coral’s fingers delight
Wearing mandarin, cranberry and apple green
We laugh as bubbles escape our smiles
Playfully gliding upwards
Our friends arrive
Regal parrot fish
Mosaic rainbow scales shimmering
Calling out to us
A sacred union gathering
Inclusive of all
Silent language is shared
Spellbound destinies of
Beauty and grace
Envelop us

Your Love Echoes In Time

I once had your love which sailed on the shores of sorrows,
Broken hearts did shove the tears thru echoes of morrows…
For it is only time, that I have to find you on Cupids arrows,
It would be a crime if our love escaped the nefarious narrows;

Guardians of time, give me entrance so I may find my love again,
For I shall climb the portals of passion to stop the ravaged rain…
My love is lost amidst chambers of time and obtuse Oblivions,
In a frigid frost I circle and navigate thru loves morbid meridians;

Where calamitous clocks hold back the hemispheres of devotion,
And providence blocks the wheels of love and eternal emotion…
Father time of infinity bring me back to the day that we first met,
Restore our affinity of ambient amour before the Time Lords forget.

Sewing machine, long idle, gathered dust
In a house where a maiden's dreams were crushed
An open seam forever left impaled
Discolored remnants of a wedding veil

Beneath a stitch in time that came too late
A silver needle sewed her final fate
A blushing bride she never was to be
A spinster was to be her destiny

The war years seemed like only yesterday'
As I gazed on the ruins and disarray
A mildewed wedding dress that stood in wait
Beneath layers of soggy tattered lace

Then beneath the leaking roof and fallen beams
I heard the humming of that old machine
As she tried to mend the dream that fell apart
The candle sputtered, spent, and all was dark

Moment In Time

A moment in time, frozen in my mind

Vision of beauty,

an angel in my eye

Sunshine sparkling down

Brightening up my cloudy days

Life was on the downturn

spiraling

lost...

out of control

Nights of loneliness. days of false smiles

A few choice words,

consoling my cries

Those killer smiles you gave

Those deep caramelized eyes,

giving solace to my broken heart

Taking my hand,

you lead me from the deep,

into the light.

Upon the next shooting star

To you, I devote my heart.

Melting Moments Frozen In Time

I sit here alone on these jagged sea washed rocks

the seagulls squawk

picking at left over food scraps

left in the sand

smells from the hot dog vendor up on the pier

fill the salty air

the brisk breeze blows softly like your warm breath in my hair

melting moments frozen in time

a time when we walked this very beach

holding hands and holding hearts

a time when we frolicked in the surf

we'd never be apart

soft kisses and long gazes

into your deep loving soul

long talks and soft touches

 love beginning to take hold

I close my eyes and remember

remember a time

a time running my hands through

 your soft flowing hazel hair

oh how it made my fears disappear

I remember and now I wish

I wish and I hope we can be one again

Come place your hand upon my beating chest

feel my unspoken words

and let our instincts do the rest

Who Says You Can'T Go Back In Time

Who says I can’t go back in time
No, not the records on my shelf
Just flip a switch and there I am
A version of my younger self

I turn the beat around all night
                  In memories of Disco shoes
A fever boils inside my brain
Love for the night is mine to lose

Who says I can’t go back in time
No, not the clock that haunts my wall
The tick and tock now tock and tick
As I drift back and have a ball

As pages turn in rhythmic flow
The photos in my book agree
It’s just as though I’m really there
Another sip of wine for me!

Premium Member Child in Time

In the tribulations of time,
our childhood swiftly becomes adulthood.
Fragile innocent souls, collecting memories,
woven by the threads of fate's design,
wandering through this labyrinth we call life.

With eyes wide open we gaze in wonder,
exploring the world upon uncharted paths.
In each moment there's a lesson we uncover.
Creating friendships to nourish our souls.

We dance through fields of diverse petals,
breathing among aromatic jasmine air.
Our laughter is a melody for tomorrow.
A symphony of joy, pure and unique.

But time is relentless and marches on,
as childhood's innocence, like sunset,
begins to fade, as adversity brings trials,
yet still we find the courage to bravely carry on.

Through human interaction our minds expand,
facing the winds of change, as destiny calls.
But deep within that child's internal glow,
a spark of hope softly continues to kindle.

Although we may age with or without grace.
Within our heart, remains that child in time.
Our beacon of light with a spirit of desire.
Guiding us through life's endless climb.

Premium Member Lost In Time

Memories all seem like just yesterday
As time brings you another birthday
Where does time go, you want to know
You look around it's the big four O

The seconds are passing, the minutes move on
Night slips away to a brand new dawn
Where does time go, you want to know
You look around, and you've turned five O!

Each year that passes, the decades that chime
Moves life forward in the passage of time
Your yesteryears have gone, your tomorrows will go
Where has time gone, you want to know

You then realize you're on a roll
Time keeps on moving and taking its toll
Where does time go, you want to know
It seemed like just yesterday you had a youthful glow

Your vision gets blurry, your movement gets slow
Where has time gone, you wish you did know
But you keep writing in verse and in rhyme
As another birthday is lost in, time....

Should I search for you through lotuses of gold
or climb pyramids of truth and go beyond the self?

If I were Ghost of Amdapor,
could I possibly un-clock the secret
of a shadow bringer's touch?

If I were perception at its best
would these emerald eyes transmute
into the umbra of your light?

If these wings of mine were Love
stretching further than the ocean blue,
could I cover you ?

If I were mercy's Angel
at deepest hour of need
would you be an echo of my living past
or the song of our tomorrows child
my love?

If I were yours and you were mine
inside this peaceful lake
I call my heart,
Would you be rock salt or would you be,
water.

Crossed Me At the Borderline, Just In Time

-------------------------------------- ~*note: done in fun and aimed at no one~

try and seed my name you'll concede to shame
no use in calling names to lose the game

yir' ill will is just plain disastrous
asinine avatars deserve an asterisk

as for being fact-less, your slaps don't diss
every lick you spit simply tends to miss

harmless words that curse, rehearsed childishness
gets your face erased and they'll say who's next

as defilement arrives inside your text
that's when shame wheels you back, right to the nest.
