Best Hopeless Romantic Poems
Too long I limped along a lonely road, born into this Sahara desert of a life,
parched and hungry, face weathered and gaunt.
A deaf, dumb, and blind man, drawn and quartered by her knife,
back tarred and feathered by a vulture's taunt.
I searched the wide world for your wonderful smile,
tired soul devoid of that whole, found wanting of the other half.
Try to find the right words, after each lost and lonely mile,
my sorrows washed away by that sweet, infectious laugh.
Like hopeless romantic's lot, who climbed out of a dark place,
beyond my wildest dreams, I finally found you.
Yet daft was I to hear not., your prayer for love's embrace..
as two hearts lifted in love were bound to.
When last moon fades, no more hopeless romantics left,
and strings of sanguine hearts untwine.
I will hold on to memory's tender touch yet,
and all the warm days when you were mine.
meandering
along the hinterland
relentlessly I search
for innocent love
in the remoteness
of unspoilt territory…
a hopeless romantic
making inroads into
inaccessibility

You play with my heart
as if it were an instrument to your entertainment.
You use my emotions
as the beat to your song.
You look at me
but say nothing, leaving me empty.
Is my love real to you? No,
You’re just singing through my soul with notes,
cutting me, deeper and deeper, with every verse.
The sun is shining
just like your smile shines
I get butterflies
just at the thoughts of you
my heart skips a beat
just saying your name
we have our own song
I have a spring in my step
I am a hopeless romantic
to go along with your charm
Is this happening?
Or is it a dream?
this is so very real
for the first time
I feel so happy with you
I smile like a little girl
I feel like I am on clouds
let me keep your heart
close to my heart
the magic spell of your love
forever holds me close to you
the feelings never change
I pray you feel this way
hopeless romantic
red rose in a silver vase
telegraphed to you
with my heart
close behind
Beneath the stars and galaxies
The moon, that’s split in half
I fall astray in the cosmos of you
Placing my heart once again
In everything that I once believed in
Hopelessly. Helplessly. Passionately
Relentless imaginings of a love so wide
A reminder of what I know to be soft and pure
Organic, yet electric
Dreams of a hopeless romantic
Loneliness has made me a hopeless romantic,
I don't have the youth or charm to offer you,
I don't have the great health or wealth to share with you,
I only have me, a hopeless romantic, to make you smile at me.
When you first smiled at me,
your greetings ignited the sparkles of love in me,
I saw the mirage of the love oasis in your eyes,
I daydreamt of the fountain of affection in your smiles.
When you first touched my hands,
I almost got electrocuted by the loving sensation,
When I squeezed your hands with mine,
the sweats of love were born in the warmth of our affection.
When we were together for a few moments,
my loneliness hid itself in some distant corner,
Those few hours of conversation, fun and games,
will remain in my thoughts for days to come.
When you bid farewell with a gentle hug,
I thought I lost the biggest treasure in the world,
Even if you will be gone for a while,
Till we meet, I will be daydreaming about you day and night.
With a yearning heart, she stood
star-gazing in Luna’s glow -
a silhouetted vision
in the night of black.
Star light, star bright. . . . She whispered.
What she wished for, nonetheless,
was as distant from her as
the man in the moon.
Theme: Love
Loving again
for the millionth time
has broken you into
a million pieces,
each
and every time.
By definition I'm a hopeless romantic
so no matter what kinda decisions I made
in the women I chose I always took responsibility
for how it turned out…
I never doubted the process
just understood that my decisions were suspect
and looking back I understand it
in order to be a hopeless romantic
you first gotta be young enough to believe in hope
because let's be honest hope is some young sh*t
and like the revolutionary Huey Freeman once said
"Hope is irrational" it's an idealist mentality
it's empty calories, like drinking a diet soda
after you just had a big mac that you just super-sized
It's sky diving while having to dive out the plane
to go and get the parachute
yeah you may find it cute but your perception of love
It's a lil acute, your angle is slighty obtuse
but that's the beauty of being a hopeless romantic
especially when you're young, so optimistic
while everyone else has a pessimistic view
you're young so even if you do experience heartache
you can take it, it won't break so easily
no need to sweat your irrational decisions
your good intentions are pure
and the rest of the world are just cynics
excuse my sarcasm, rumble young man rumble
in this jungle it's best to be lion hearted
just because your intent is pure
doesn't mean theirs isn't tainted
I'll leave that with you…
I want to be a strong and gentle lover,
Who grows insatiably lovesick in sweet parting from the sticky sadness of summer.
I want to be a beautiful bluebird,
Who flew north faithful because of some splendid story he heard.
I want to be silly, a fool, daft, a puzzling predicament, absurd!
I want my life and my strife to be displayed and upstirred!
I want to be a better lover to the thoughts that slither through my skull.
But close tender my seeing eye to see my bitter being withstood.
My closed eye cannot pry how I might ever amount to much good.
I would love myself if I could,
But I'm not entirely sure I should.
There's only so much I could ever be,
I close my eyes and I can't see,
So cast my fickle eyes into the empty sea.
I wish I were a lover.

Rain rings spreading wide
Like liquid blossoms opening
To the rise of April’s tide
And if one listens closely
to her gentle wind
and harkens to her showers
One hears April stealing in
To waken
Nascent flowers
Always it begins, as just a gentle patter
A tender touch
to Mother Natures shoulder
As if to say, there’s naught to matter
Winter’s time is done
No more… will it grow colder
I’ll slake the thirst
Of frosted earth, says she
And rouse the sleeping seeds
And I’ll pay no mind
To what the kind
And even grace the weeds
My dewy touch
My gentle morning mist
Will caress both fields and bowers
Imbued as such
With Springtime’s kiss
And the romance of April Showers

Valentine is what they say to their valentines to describe,
The enchanting heart's whisper, how much they are special to them.
Nevertheless, I fell sick, to be exact, not in the ocean of my lover's love.
Astonishingly, the lover is what I mentioned is not real just an apocryphal to be enough.
Dwelling in my mind from the dawn to the sweet kisses of night,
He is nothing just fictional, a creature of my imagination, only to ignite.
The day of fourteenth February, in which people celebrate the cherish of love,
Where I prefer to live in my room, with my lover in my head, no any reason found to shrug.
Hoping him to convert into reality, to create the world with me, I imagined,
But the reality is a curse to us, I'd rather enter the world, I create, nothing to be tangled.
Hopelessly romantically lovesick.
Love you but is it really true?
Can I pull through,
Or am I only being melodramatic.
Hopelessly romantically daydreaming,
Love you but will it ever be true?
Can I pull through,
Or am I only far too hoping?
Hopelessly romantically lovesick.
Love you but will it always be true?
Can I pull through,
Or am I only fancifully in love with you?

That poor soul
Sitting alone again
Silly hopeless romantic
Hopelessly lost in a world
Where you perpetually walk alone
No other hand to hold
Just nothing
Nothing but familiar solitude
And shadows on the wall
Silly hopeless romantic
Won’t you ever learn?
The world doesn’t know you
With your endless love
And the heart you have
For your love is rare
It’s scarcely ever seen
Yet you patiently wait
On a relentless quest
Silly hopeless romantic
Won’t you ever learn?
