It's so hard not to love you

Thinking back on life...
I think of you...
all my desires...
my dreams came true

Your innocence...
kept calling out to me
there was nothing else...
that I could do

Bridge
We were young, just trying to make memories...
with more ups and downs than on a trampoline

Chorus
And so you're gone!...
Now what should I think?
I'm living on the brink,
I'm on the ledge without you...
I can't go on...
It's too hard to go back
the wheels fell off the tracks
It's so hard not to love you!
It's so hard not to love you!

You and me together...
just felt right...
like a hand in glove...
when it was cold

How could you forget...
those tender nights
lying by the fire...
warming our toes

I never thought that...
things could end this way
we were in love...
in a world so cold

I never thought that you...
could ever stray
our bond can't be broken...
or so I was told

It's so hard not to love you!
It's so hard not to love you!

repeat and fade

Premium Member Written In the Stars

The day was Wednesday, May 20th, 2015
A day that seemed like all others
But for one major difference, I'll now explain
An uncredible coincidence was uncovered

Two friends on the Soup wrote each other a poem
Extolling their deep mutual love
A love that surely must be written in the stars
Fitting like the old hand in glove

Since this magical happening, I've yet to recover
My old mind is still in a whirl
To imagine a friendship as deep as an ocean
Like the first love of boy and girl

Although our ages are many decades apart
Seems not to matter in the least
This truly blessed union of two loving souls
Is a sweet and tender love feast

Time will help me recover from this event
Surely it was meant to occur
This melding of two souls was written in the stars
Sending our two hearts in a whirl

I Am a Daffodil

What flower am I?

I represent my country which I love,
Springtime and I go hand in glove.

To see me makes everyone smile,
I grow in every garden can see me for miles.

My vibrant colour yellow and bright,
I blow my own trumpet, Cos I know I am right .

If cut I don't last, just a day or so,
So please in your garden let me grow.

My scent is not noted as a perfume,
Yet a tub of me fills up a room.

On March 1st my significance will be on a high scale,
When I am worn in the lapel, of everyone, from Wales

I am a daffodil, I herald in springtime
Growing straight, proud, cos it's forgiving time.

Meaning of Daffodils.
Give daffodils to someone when as a token of forgiveness or give them away as a token of appreciation for their honesty.

Premium Member A Nook and a Book

The book and nook go hand in glove
and hold my hope inside.
The pages turn to fervent love
my corner can’t confine.

I won’t suppose a wealthy sir
can love a Jane like me.
And while my soul screams “Rochester”
I have no urge to eat.

This man can toy with me all day
and keep me up at night.
A fire burns behind his door.
I won’t turn out the light.

How can our love be ended now
with chapters left—fifteen?
He teases me with sullen brow.
My heart is lost in leaves.

No sooner, “Yes, I’ll be your bride!”
My veil is torn in two.
The wife you’ve kept, but cannot hide
has turned our niche to ruin.

I’ve gone too far to be so crushed.
And hours in one place.
When I arrive at happiness
I’ll stand and stretch my legs!

To travel far
Along the road
To live so long
And not be told

That from the clay
Where hearts complete
There will be one
Your heart will meet

To tend your wounds
Let anxious cease
Wrap with arms
Of total peace

To walk those miles
And not be found
The truth revealed now
To astound

A soul that fits
Like hand in glove
Reciprocation
No striving love

So from the earth
We came and yet
Had travelled far
Before we met

I cannot lose
What has been found
Before returning
Home to ground

Anam cara
You must be
So hold my hand
Eternally

Save the Last Dance For Me

Standing in the corner, watching all the love and romance
Watching the twirling couples with envy as they dance

The fast ones and the slow ones, they dance the night away
But I remembered what you told me, just the other day.

Yes you can dance if you long to, dance your night away
Dance until the dawn arrives, and the start of a new day.

But no matter how long you dance or which partner you dance with
Remember they just want to dance, they don’t have love to give.

The dance that is important is the last dance of the night
The last dance that you dance, will be with the one who loves you right.

When we are on the dance floor, and the rest of the dancers are gone
The dance will be for us my love, a dance of love that goes on and on.

On the dance floor of desire which is the dance floor of such love
We’ll dance the last dance together, as close as hand in glove.

The last dance will be a slow one, and will last our whole lives through
So save that last dance for me my love, the one that loves you true.

Conquer

Heart craves to weep,
Emotions dying of cheat,
In firm grip of sadness,
Going crazy in madness,

Is what depression means !

Just a bit of courage,
Self assessment to encourage,
Knowing world is bad,
Life is both cheers and sad,

Is what elevates the mood !

Too much if you expect,
Always in end will regret,
Roses that you loved,
thorns are hand in glove,

Is what you need to ponder!

Your own self you need to conquer,
No pills needed, why to surrender,
To defeat any forces that subdue,
To negative thoughts must bid adieu,

Dictionary with no antonyms ?
That's what in the end you will get !!

“Ceasing to sway, get out of your own way ~
That love and light bursts forth, like a sun ray”
~ quote, by poet
____________________________

Believing ourselves to be mind-body,
we pursue objects of our heart's desire,
more oft than not, employing thoughts shoddy,
immersed in delusion, until we tire,
whereupon we internalise focus,
shifting baton of awareness to heart,
divine entwined along the love locus,
deeming all souls as one, with none apart,
ascending thus, along octaves of love,
as bubbling joy becomes rapturous bliss,
enabled when head and heart, hand in glove,
feeling here now complete, nothing amiss.

We stoop to conquer, when we surrender,
as resounds within, soundless bliss thunder.

Ludwig Ii

Ludwig ii

A Bavarian King with no bone bad
A Bavarian King introverted not mad
A king who lived life by night
A king who stayed out of sight

The Swan king was his given name
from Bavarian bloodstock he came Maximilians Death took away his youth
On throne pomp splendoured and couth

Peer pressure never kneel
Twas Opera Ludwig did feel
Richard Wagner was his one true love
Ludwig fitted Wagner hand in glove

A queen, A queen the Bavarians did wish
Lovestruck Elsa dry eyes diminish
Conformity died during Ludwigs reign
His sexuality showed no shame

Lake Starnberg scene of demise
Mystery death .Murder or boat capsize
The King ,The King long live the King
Life lived how he chose leaving no offspring

Premium Member A Hot Spring Nights Dream

The stars sizzle and sparkle this hot night
And I think of you, my love.
When days and nights, were so right.

A tall glass of ice chips, jasmine tea.
We were close as hand in glove..
Dreams of us dance across the room tonight.

Romantic am I, let there be no doubt!
Yes, you,my sensuous turtle dove.
Outside, “I love you”, to the universe,I shout!

The stars in that second, heard me and blinked!
Then.......a velvet softness from above.
With tea in hand, I toasted them, with a sensuous wink.

The Lost Pronoun

Oh! THOU art lost and gone perhaps forever
By equi-vocal pronoun now replaced
Where once were I and THOU in shared endeavour
Abandoned and neglected left to waste

Since THOU departed there’s a missing piece
Within the language where we speak of love
A vacuum in syntax of our caprice
Where once we two combined as hand in glove

For it’s surmised that each communication
Must be between two single souls that be
Though there be multitude of iteration
I only speak to thee and thou to me

So come THOU back in thy pellucid essence
Enhance truth and grace in language with thy presence

This writ shalt not make me loved!
But insanity, murder, lies and I do
not fit hand in glove.

This morning , abandoned soldiers' in
Kabul wives were raped.
Whilst you drink ale and swing on your
front gate!

Sick American children could not board a
plane nor their mothers.
Afghanis' sat comfortably in plush planes
chatting and chortling with each other.

What kind of animal did you put in office?
If you think you are safe here, your brain
exited it's orifice!

You will weep those oh, so humanitarian
hot tears.
But will feel better, after a pizza and a few beers.,
Win a few trophies, place high on lists?
Who cares if heads of soldiers' wives and their own,
severed, glow in the morning mist?

Who are we, anyway?
I do not know..,have never seen human
beings, like heartless, icicles sway!

Put Kamala Harris in his place!
Lying to Americans, demands he be removed
at once.
Kabul~ a total disgrace!

Premium Member Our Soul Weeps

In the ethereal domain
Ascended masters we revere are seen
Thus soul’s ascension seems endless
Is the clear knowing from this that we glean

We are as yet in a primitive stage
Myriad fears and desires still bemuse
Awareness stuporous, we flounder in darkness
Falling prey every time, to ego’s ruse

Of what use are scriptures, if we heed them not
All that’s asked of us is we learn to love
The path too has been clearly mapped out
Let head meld with heart, acting hand in glove

We are ignorant, knowing not who we are
We’re fearful to let go of lower mind
Tragic it is, we know not we’re living light
To glory of our soul, we remain blind

Premium Member We

We are a pair, we go together
Like a hand in glove
We are very close
Best friends who are in love

We have many interests
Most of which we share
The years are catching up with us
Of this, we are both aware

The years are flying past
At such a frantic pace
Is this is what is meant
By the human race

As we are aging
Our thoughts stray to before
When time stretched out in front of us
Now death knocks on our door

It is the time to reflect
That one day all must die
And for a time until we meet again
That WE become an I

Premium Member Building tension

To sound the right musical note,
string of the guitar is made taut,
so likewise for our light to shine,
trials we face, make us self-taught.

Stuporous is mind, heart unkind,
insipid stance, clumsy our dance,
floundering about as though blind,
mindful eye alters circumstance.

Notice head and heart, stand apart,
misaligned from the pulse of love,
so simply tightening soul’s strings,
they begin to act hand in glove.

Choosing consciousness correction,
fixating on God our focus,
shifts life’s course and our direction,
flowing along the love locus.

Tension buildup can be useful,
if employed for a higher cause,
which reworded simply requires,
putting flow of desires on pause.

Desires exhumed, our thoughts too cease,
then ego dies, since it’s unfed,
whereupon we flow like the breeze,
love energised, by bliss beats led.
