Hollow Justice

Justice called the role
not seeking innocence
but truth

beauty stood before the bench
accused of wilting flowers,
faded hues, dimming rainbows

purity stood guiltily
head bowed, besmirched,
despoiled by innuendo

pride stood angrily
fist clenched, defiant,
without shame

honor cowered in the shadows
disgraced by perception’s
cowardly fabrications

duty stood alone
neglected, shunned,
by those she served

truth stood silent
in the knowledge
none are innocent

Watermelons

Dull, thick, green rind with a creamy yellow behind,
From where on the ground, it sat waiting to ripen.
Round the gourd, the melon matured, bursting the gird;
With juicy, sweet liquid, and fresh succulent meat
(Ninety per cent water and six percent sugars)
Ready for consumption during the hot summer weather.

Carefully pick the vegetable from the bin;
Choosing the size, weight, and colour of the pepo.
And feel for firmness, then cradle, knock, and listen;
(Duller the thud the better) indicating ripeness,
Or employ other quirks to determine freshness.
Then wash, slice, and serve the delectable berry,
With bright red flesh, seed or seedless variety.

Etiquette is discarded when eating the melon,
As my teeth sink into Citrullus Lanatus
(Like a hot knife cutting into frozen butter)
As juices spurt out and run down the sides of my mouth,
While I guiltily look, as I piggishly eat
And slurp away, smiling, and spitting out the seeds;
This August 3rd on National Watermelon Day.

Her fingers were flying
Typing too fast to stop
While she guiltily ignored
Her inner Internet cop.

She just couldn’t help typing
What she had to say
While clicking out words
To inflict Internet pain.

Would she regret this tomorrow?
Possibly so.
But not before damaging
Someone’s fragile ego.

If only she’d clicked
Numbers One through Ten
Instead of sending her words
to her future ex-Internet friend.

And the moral of this poem
If you are still reading this, my friend,
Is to not create Internet-wars.
Like all wars...
They are too harmful to mend.

Confession

I admit I approximated akin adultery
Abusively allowing my abominable,abstinent eyes
To absorb abstract,alluring beauty around me
Gazed galvanic glances guiltily
Thus glamorized God's grave gluttony.

The Trials of Meretrix Canto Iii

Diminishing virtues stripped away
From the flesh
By the fierce brined rods that freely
Course thy hot crimson blood;
Dry cracked lips attempting to
Fashion broken words of compliance
That so must needs to be spoken...
But...Ohhh, Meretrix...
My foolish and innocent child -
If you but only could!

Consider, Meretrix,..humility!
To which pleasure one thus
Submitted
Guiltily discovers:-
The joy in the act or posture of
Lowering oneself in relation to
Others.
For in your anguished dis-repair
You will find strength to endure and
Embrace:-
The acceptance of all your defects
And ultimate seduction
In the power of your:-
"Submission to Divine Grace"!

I will adorn you in the yellow Toga
Of the Vestal virgins,
They whom wise Augusta did abhor;
Burden upon you with an Imperial
Tax
Imposed by perverted Caligula:
Whither all Matronly protestations he
Didst dismissively ignore;
My Tribune forcefully exact -
When employing you in the
Degenerated role
Of my most reluctant Whore!

Clasp jeweled anklets abouts your
Shapely bones,
Decorate upon you like fired and
Painted porcelain figurines;
Whilst all the while, as your lost mind
Bemoans,
Choking between involuntary gurgles
And low-pained, stifled screams,
The gagged mouth bites down
Amidst salivating sounds
Borrowed from the hurtling
Nightmares
Of your darkest dreams!

For I will lift you higher than the
Tallest mountain peak...
So you may gaze with awe over all
The innumerable Kingdoms and their
Proud tyrant Kings;
Of the many differing species of all
Mankind type things...
And of the immeasurable riches
They so endlessly seek.

Lower you to the solitudes of the
Grassed floors
That sweep across the sunken
Valleys deep;
Where, besides enchanted streams,
Violated Nymphs quietly weep
For Abels broken schemes;
Now, tragically, all taken apart;
And for the wicked callousness
Of fallen man...
Whose desperate greeds ripped out
His live brothers still beating heart -
Then tore at the living throat of
The one true Gods Holy Lamb!

TO BE CONTINUED...

Premium Member Top 10 Reasons To Stay In Bed

Today the covers I've pulled over my head.
And its not the first time..she guiltily said.
Here's 10 reasons I've stayed in my bed

Its cold and I'm lazy and wont make a fire
Sleep is our friend, you know I'm no liar...

I cant go to work, my review is today
My cranky old boss won't let me play...

I'm sick with a cold, sneezing a lot
I must confess , this excuse ain't so hot...

He dumped me and my heart is so torn
I cant face the day, I feel so forlorn...

My foot hurts so bad I want to shout
Seriously, I think it may be the gout...

Its rained all night, the weather is bad
I need new wipers, now isn't that sad...

Tossed all night, I just couldn't sleep
I'm so sick to death of those miserable sheep...

There's no point, I'm depressed you see
In bed I can truly enjoy my own misery...

If I stay in bed I might lose some weight
I cant eat one thing until that big date....

But the best reason of all to stay in bed
Is that guy beside me..I think his name's Fred
                             ............................ Or was it Ted?

Just in fun. LOL

Elegance Is Bliss

Ornery in the mornings balled up on my chair,
                               a stretch, a yawn, a "purr" to remind me she's there.

                                  Delicately munching her chicken flavored brunch,
                                      leaned over her bowl with an elegant hunch.

                                       She spins, flops, rolls and claws, and ZING!...
                                            She's gone without a blinking pause.

                                                   Catnip guiltily clouds the air,
                                    the red handed suspect creator of this devilish hair.

                                            She flies back in and drops to her back,
                                      "now you sir rub my belly whilst I take a nap!"

                                          How splendidly grand the life of this cat.

Divulgence

I confess I convincingly committed contemptible crimes
Beguiling bewitching beauty beyond my bona fide bounty
Gazed galvanic glances guiltily
Thus glamorized God's grave gluttony.

Recipe For Skullduggery

cravings, like niggling whispers,
flit on covered tables
skitter on the floorboards
shiver nerves like humming cables

racing up my backbone
trembling spinal pathways
as I dive for pantry's knob
in a glucose fired craze

tearing through the shelving
jumping for the flour
cracking eggs like gunshots
batter stacked like sugar'd towers

but wait! oh, no! there's something wrong
a final crucial piece!
recipe's cruel words laugh off the page
will this torture never cease?!

"...paraffin for stable rounds
synthesize the compound well
melted into pyrex mixing bowls..."
I swear I fell another level in Hell

slashing through the shelving,
(broke the icebox's fragile handle)
finally, with fevered eye,
spot her stash of scented candles

by now I'd reached a fever'd pitch
impatient I just tossed the batter in
staring at the brutish countdown
nervous capered guilty sin

at last my tortured moments
over with these steaming treats
cackling like a madman
at this half-baked pastry feat

but flaccidly they fell off
spatula and spoon
crumbled burnt and formless
I swear I cried out like a loon!

but no set back could stop me
as I snatched up those candle stacks
biting crumbled chocolate pieces
while gnawing chunky scented wax

sated, I sit gluttonous
sprawled out on the floor
burbled aromatic belches
gob of wax sat at my core!

when she came down looking
for a fruity sconce to put next to bed
I shrug and counsel guiltily
we could just touch a match right to my head...

Worst Jail Term

.

"I'm told I'm free to try, so try I did,
    but then the shrewd wins with the highest bid;
        I'm tired of being told that I am free,
            living free is the worst jail term for me."

These were what our friend, Honesto had said
    to drunken ears of addled, groggy heads;
        teasing him, we laughed and shouted, "Come here,
            Philosopher, beat it, knock down your beer!"

We knew the guy was simply down and out,
    his eyes betrayed his raging silent shout;
        the gang screamed, "Why don't you give life a taste?
            Philosophizing's such a wasteful waste."

"It's best for you and us to laugh and drink,
    kick out them blues and woes, don't brood, don't think;
        cursing your fate and the world's but a trash,
            we've got our beer, brother, and lots of cash!"

"Tonight let's smash some doors and hit the road,
    rev up them hot engines, burn down the load;
        let's break some wise guys' ribs and crack a nose,
            a boring thrill, but man, that's how life goes!"

Honesto swayed, stood up, drew out a knife,
    and from his bleeding wrists oozed out his life;
        we thought it was just a quick tipsy trick,
            but he died, leaving us guiltily sick.

Premium Member Death Comes in Many Ways

Death comes in many ways;
Hands tied, shot in the head
with family you bore
victims of the cruel
brutality of war.

Death comes in many ways;
doctor with a syringe
maybe the most humane
to save a loved one from
more years of constant pain.

Death comes in many ways;
guiltily by own hand
a teenage mind derailed
another victim of
a system that has failed

Death comes in many ways;
The easiest must be
quietly in our sleep
after solemn prayer
asking our soul to keep.

Premium Member Christmas Song Parodies

Let’s Eat Something New This Christmas
(Parody of Have a Holly Jolly Christmas)

I can make some spicy tacos
better than the ones down south.
Please though know to eat them slow
or they may burn your mouth.

Try my sauciest lasagna
better than a Christmas ham.
Cheese galore – I like that more
than even roasted lamb.

Some get hung up on foods
so traditional.
My foods you cannot call
repetitional.

For dessert, there’s tiramisu.
I’m so sick of pumpkin pie.
Cookies crumble
so I grumble: why not new foods to try?

Christmas Balls,
(Parody of Jingle Bells)

Christmas balls, Christmas balls on my Christmas tree.
I’ve got a cat that’s such a rat beneath the tree he’ll pee -ee.

Christmas balls, Christmas balls, flying through the air.
When both cats get hold of them, they scatter everywhere.

One night I took a pause because I’d heard a crash.
Hoped it might be Claus bringing me some cash.
I saw my big dog’s face. She looked up guiltily.
To those darn cats she’d given chase destroying our tree! Oh!

Repeat refrain:
Christmas balls, Christmas balls on my Christmas tree.
I’ve got a cat that’s such a rat beneath the tree he’ll pee -ee.

Christmas balls, Christmas balls, flying through the air.
When both cats get hold of them, they scatter everywhere.

Two oldies:

I Heard Mother (to tune of "I Saw Mother Kissing Santa Clause")

 I heard Mother scolding Santa's elf
 As I prowled the house on Christmas Eve.
 He'd hid in St. Nick's sleigh And then sneaked out to play
After having waited for his boss to fly away.
Mother caught him gobbling all our snacks
After he tore open every gift.
Oh, when she glared down at his face,
He went scrambling from our place
Screaming, "Santa, stop the sleigh-
 I need a lift!"

New Body
Parody of the Xmas Song: White Christmas

 I'm dreaming of a new body
with every chocolate I unwrap.
But I can't stop eating, I can't stop cheating.
 There's just too many Christmas snacks.
My nightmare is a pot belly -with every Christmas treat I take.
 But I can't stop feasting, my size increasing;
when I stand on the scales they'll break.
 Yes, I'm dreaming of a trim waistline,
so take that Chex mix from my face.
May my buns be smaller and flat,
 and may all my body lose its fat!

(I no longer make Chex Mix. It’s just too tempting)
