GRAIL
each has their own prize
tucked away in a wish
deep in the inscrutable heart,
it rises from time to time
like a treasure only seen
by the eyes of innocents.
it rises up unbidden
to remind that there is more
than a, nose to the grind stone life.
allotted to a new babe as it is born,
a grail fantasy is implanted,
a carrot on a stick of sorts.
whilst we live, unaware for most
except, for the ants that
occasionally attack our thoughts
cause restless legs to strain at
the conformity accepted as life.
wanderlust without a goal.
daydreams that seem to have
no righteous home.
all dismissed as silliness
or insanity depending,
on the strength of the call
to leave the bonds of uniformity.
that golden seed we have from birth
is the poets goad,
the musicians lost chord
a writers perfect tale.
it is not for fame and glory that we seek
but for our holy grail.
"Let there be light", and lighted was the globe
That was when no-one was needed to pray-
and pay for the things, even a dry wood
Nowadays everything is about business
People can do anything for money and power
But by mercy everyone can lift the Holy Grail
Life is a race where being chased is Holy Grail
People's footprints are everywhere trotting the globe
Folks and fellows search for wealth and power
Pastors urge them to give tithes as they pray
Extolling God for success in business
While other folks extol their sculptured wood
People hope to make their names in Holly wood
That is a dream that they chase like Holy Grail
All know Hollywood to be real business
The mecca of filming in the whole globe
But others guard themselves not to fall prey-
Of temptations of glitter and power
People know not the origin of power
It is not from bowing before any wood
Nor it comes by listening to those who prey-
On those who crave for perks packed in Holy Grail
It comes by finding yourself in the globe
And position yourself for real business
To do good with numbers means good business
The gain of which is to reach star power-
And the right to light up the entire globe,
Master the art of idols in Bolly wood,
Reveal the silver line to the Holy Grail
And then press forward hustling as you pray
Every circumstance require everyone to pray
Before harvesting good gains in business
Take not your eyes away from the Holy Grail-
If you want contentment beyond power
Watch what naira guys do from Nolly wood
Trusting their craft as they trot the globe
Those who conquer the globe are those who pray-
Not before wood or money in business-
But seek God's power to gain the Holy Grail
In the virgin pool waters of Point Erin
stood a siren in her fairest beauty all -
my heart dared to want and its flesh of sin
did upon her beguiling favours call.
Remembered are the concubines of court -
a fire in my codpiece and in my jocks,
jousting grey knights whom over you fought
and a Celtic Queen in long flaxen locks.
Over the toll bridge a young lord and prince
from the realm of Epsom landed Birkdale,
to seek sweet raptures in my limerence
by she possessed of its Unholy Grail.
O’ what forbidden enchantment was she
when the spinning bottle of fortune spun,
and what soft lingering kiss given me
when the party kissing contest we won.
Every once in a while the stars and fates
shine upon the archer and his longbow,
and the wondered youthful heart elates
at its piercing tip and flight of arrow.
Over the toll bridge a young lord and prince
from the realm of Epsom landed Birkdale,
to seek sweet raptures in my limerence
by she possessed of its Unholy Grail.

Brad is admin of the Writers' Group on Facebook...
A kindly sword and savage pen
Are the marks of a writer and leader of men
Blessed be he who came to teach
The wildness of wisdom and freedom of speech
Where fainter hearts might fall and fail
He stands to serve the Writer’s Grail
This ancient sage; this humble youth
This herder of cats; this teller of truth
Is he we know and love as Brad
Our literary Galahad

because you are so sweet.
too sweet.
more than all of words I’ve said,
more than all of tastes I’ve tasted.
like you’ve been harvested
from the finest farm,
along the side of fertile river,
and stocked until your golden age.
your color is interesting red.
who can resist to the shining sight?
which very glow on the lips of the grail,
bright and warm so obviously seen.
therefore my lips as a very thirsty thirst.
a joy that need to be fulfilled!
I am the faith. waiting to the all being poured,
throw away, and all continues deed, until the last drop
to carouse. but ones will remember it from the latest late,
an existing tinny mindful between all of madness,
that’s a joy that never last.
even on this time, you, my wine,
off from the grail of my lips,
slips from my faith’s grip.

Life Now Cries Out, This Truth, There Is No Holy Grail
I stab the stone wall, all to no avail
Life now cries out there is no Holy Grail
World has it right, all must walk their path blind
Weak, we think we are body, soul and mind
But reality points to that other thing
True love that its bountiful joy can bring
A soulmate, an angel to hold and love
In that truth, we can see Heaven above.
I attack that monster, that state of death.
Doing so with my all, with my last breath.
I wage a mighty war, futile tho' it will be.
Knowing reality cries, death has final decree.
I stab the stone wall, no hope- all to no avail.
Life now cries out, this truth, there is no holy grail.

The winter cold chills with its glee
As frozen are the lost fruit trees
Heart walks into welcoming abyss
Life and death, dare one such times miss?

Moonlight sip brings handsome cherished glow
Taste stirs the brain to memories quick fire
Then I beg for answers so I can know
Even if they should raise more ravenous ire.
But Fate hiding in the corn answers gives
Not just to soothe my feverish desires
About this sad world and how mankind lives
Crashing remembrance on funeral pyres.
And how rebellious mind then plays its games
Arguing from corner in far-left field
It places my faults giving her all blame
O' yes, never can this soul true truth yield.
Moonlight sip brings handsome cherished glow.
As my heart begs the lies, all just for show.

Im broke but got the kings stand on my toes
The smell of death, is nothing to NYC confusion
Relax a moment, but the doctors now giving you fusion
Your mothers crying girl with mascara on your shirt
You guess you wouldn't but your goods didnt overpower your dirt.
No good deads goes unpunished, so when i told god id give my life for yours
I realized what a fool took his course..I won ,
So yea, we cant be on the same plane riding on the same plane
We can eat together cuz when we do im think bout my sons.
So young to feel this much love for them,
too modern to feel nobal
too smooth to feel hate..
wish it wouldn't get worse .
Many people change i never get over it
so in retrospect im straight thorough and slim but i put on weight.
alone the way to the sky, i appreciate my mother cuz she cant say bye , just yet
its a safe bet im a nobal fool, over my dead body id pick money over the wisdom tree
see so far inside that motivation closes the door,
the urge to blow pours in the eyes.
Hence the tears are gone, one day replace
the man in position with a diamond chain.
Why is it every time i eat , i think what that man can gain.
Food for thought.
this depression hurts less then
see a rappa
get u peppa
they still hungry
but his one isnt easy bitter sweet more bitter
cuz my heart shined so bright one day.
i just need to find common ground.
A leap across the hill-top,
Is an encounter with God.
Concealed in the language of history
The depth of human religiosity.
It rings true for me though
Those stories of Francis of Assisi.
Surely, striking the hallmarks of simplicity
In quietude where I cling to reality.
There is a twofold bridge in it,
That is historical and biblical.
That I must continue to face
The conundrum of life in details.
As my eyes follow the historical marks
My spirit keeps me wander to go beyond.
I saw and greeted my experience
Rooted in a quest for holiness.
On this journey that I make
Seeks intimacy and familiarity.
With the One beyond in my sanctuary
The great mystery, the depth of my sensitivity.
It is my own nature and being
To be fascinated and become aware.
Like the ancient Greeks’ epikeia
The gateway to conventional sapientia.
St Francis of Assisi walks with me
Who awakens and links me to nada
An experience of self-emptying and detachment
Indeed, he is a mentor, an inspiration.
Maybe there is a restriction on the way
To go inside the religious buildings.
But such an experience to be there,
Increasingly more interior and spiritual.
It is not always the way I think though
But it is tremendum et fascinans.
The dynamics of inwardness compels
To the experience of silence and beyond.
Francis and Clare, mirror of sanctity!
Through the centuries they have been our saints.
Being a pilgrim I hail them as my friends
In search for beatitude and spiritual fulfillment.
San Grail? Sangria?
From humblest manger beginnings,
He grew a wit to teach
the Temple’s teachers,
but in His age,
the sad reality...:
The world was rife with prophets and preachers.
He was a novelty, a prodigy --
received as well then as such are today --
childlike, unsettling ‘Od’ity and Upstart
Who crossed all class boundary.
Until He was grown,
this carpenter’s Son
won no followers,
had no fun or friends,
seemed consigned to the same oblivion
as other prophets who met quiet ends.
But His public career got launched just fine,
since His first miracle was making wine.
Black Holy water,
Dripping from the cup,
Fill me with slaughter
Oh, F*** me up.
The demons' blood
it calls to me,
ever more clear
After every drink.
they want the one thing that they have not,
Holy blood, And they'll get every drop.
for they have found their way to me,
and now even heaven can see.
This urge deep inside,
has taken complete control.
It's time to make them believe,
It's time to rock and roll.
I feel it surging through me,
pouring through my veins:
Electrifying madness,
Enabling pain.
black Holy water,
Breaching the cusp,
give me a reason
And more blood lust.
The demons wishes
Sound just like mine,
I can't see the difference
So I guess it's time.
My only purpose is to spread the fear,
to break the hope, make it lifeless here.
My only reason is to bring more pain,
warp realities and guide the blind to flames.
I have a mission, Blissful lives I'll take,
Their blood in coalition for the demons veins.
Black Holy water,
Love deeper than drugs,
I am your martyr,
Your unholy one.
You are my purpose,
I am your tool,
Give me the feeling.
And I'll bleed the fools.
I want you in every manner
Hot as hell and yet celestial
I need you every hour
As mundane and extraterrestrial
I want you as monks want to pray
And to reverence sacred things
I need you still as a prey
And as predators devour things
You'll have me as the cloud
Gentle, calm, slow and still
I need you not too loud
But you need not be quiet still
You'll have me as demons sent
To possess anything
You'll have me as a saint
That worships a holy being
I'll come to you as a tourist
Exploring all; ancient and modern
You'll have me as a florist
Who loves to tender his lovely garden
I see you as a beast
'Cause you devoured every bit of me
Yet I see you as my feast
For the satisfaction you give to me

his quest for slumber
awoke a sleeping giant
and spawned a nightmare
Hurry--dawn approaches quickly on soft wings of amber light,
arising from the faded remnants of the prior purple night!
Gather--all ye creatures of the soil, sky and azure sea,
to taste the drops of sunshine that seclude the day from ebony!
Revel--in the golden streams that runneth past horizon's edge,
bestowing warmth upon the lowest lake and highest mountain ledge!
Saunter--drunkenly, intoxicated by the zealous morn:
rejoice; the vacant sky burns brightly as another day is born!
Savor--every sweetened ray that filters through the clustered trees,
descending from its coral cup and trickling down the emerald leaves!
Hurry--dawn ascends from darkness, teeming from its garnished grail;
enamored by its honey hue,
the Sun, we Hail;
the Sun, we Hail!
shadows protrude the physical realm
pilots of light at our vessels helm
directives plotted , mapped and charted
intuition , gateways guarded
competing forces triggering sparks
understanding to avoid the dark
skullcap , fortress , our mind dwells
heart of hearts , life and love
our holy grail.........
