Snake Oil Free Speech

Listen close
Here’s what’s going to happen
This is where the rubber leaves the road
The father gripping the wheel
The mother with Coleman cooler at her feet
Beach towels and blankets on her lap
Clueless children in the back seat
Smart-phone-games dumbing down consciousness
You’ll be cruising into the sunset
A barren swamp peppered countryside receding
As oncoming ocean depth
Reflects your personal blood-red sky
All the evil will vanish
As you leave the highway
Slip and slide the sandy road
Dodge beer cans and mistake’s exhausted condoms
Coming suddenly to destination’s end
Your transport will cough its last fumes of gas
Your seat’s cushy-springs will explode
Like coiled serpents in waiting
As icy breath clouds evil-singed windows
Welcome to your Last Stop Beach
Swollen with humanity’s layered dead-cell cake
Iced over with slathered Coppertone delusions
Past attempts at escape
Now but flotsam washed ashore
You’ll try to remain calm
But your virtual-arcade will quickly drown
Along with my Sunday morning radio voice
Gurgling a personal salvation promise
Just for you
And that’s what’s going to happen
The final waves will disappear your sorry lives
Until the awaited day of resurrection
For he told me so
I’m not sure what’s happening in this country…sometimes I think it’s being overrun by fools…in some states they’re banning books…in my state, Florida, they’re banning talking about gender and sexuality in schools.
While closing up the bookstore the other night I was thinking how crazy can this be…
as I was re-shelving one of the books they’ve banned in Tennessee.
Topics not allowed to be discussed…books not allowed to be read…I don’t have the words to express my sadness and dismay…so I walked around our bookstore and listened to what the voices around me had to say.
Kurt Vonnegut was first to speak…at how banning book displeases:
“I hate”, he said, “that Americans are taught to fear some books and some ideas, as though they were diseases”.
Mart Twain was next on banning speech and books…he doesn’t want to see us do it:
“Censorship”, he said, “is telling a man he can’t have a steak just because a baby cannot chew it”.
Next stood Benjamin Franklin…with his willingness to teach
“Whoever wold overthrow the liberty of a nation,” he said, “must begin by subduing the freeness of its speech”.
Stephen Chbosky waited his turn in the bookstore to be heard that night:
He said, “banning books gives us silence when we need speech…
it closes our ears when we need to listen
and it makes us blind when we need sight”.
Isaac Asimov weighted in next…he was succinct in what he was conceding:
“Any book worth banning," he’s said, “is a book that is worth reading.”
Up and down the bookstore I walked listening to a multitude of authors from the present and past…and fortunately for me…I saved the best for last..
It was Maya Angelou whose words are always inspiring, thought provoking and wise…She said, “You may kill me with your hatefulness but still, like air…I rise”.
I thanked Maya and all the other authors for their insights as I turned off all the lights
Then wished them a calm and peaceful sleep as I locked up for the night
Filled with hope that for those who want to ban books and speech…there will come a day when they will take a walk through a bookstore or a library and listen to what the voices have to say,
Hateful words ring out, attacking,
Full of malice, piggybacking
On the wings of dire dogma that is narrow to the core.
And the people who are screeching
To the heavens, say their preaching
Is protected and reflected in the nation's guarantor:
'Free Speech'.
Words of hate are links of chains
That bind and burden freedom's gains;
Wrapped around a people's progress, dragging them into the mire.
Stunted in the mud encumbered,
Mankind's days are surely numbered;
Lest he can but break the bondage: to true liberty aspire -
FREE Speech!
Free all words from racist bent
To free ourselves from impairment.
For speech that is most truly free
Emancipates society.

To be a legend you have to risk it all
for the greater good and what's more great
than freedom.
Free from dominance of popular culture and subliminal
messaging; caressing the idea of gluttony
and power.
Free from domestic enslavement
that serves "the man"
of the House all because of a book.
Free from the dominion over other people
that do not have the right address
I guess if you're not broke, you're fixed.
The kind of fixed where the rich don't change;
only the poor do; getting poor-er
and poor-er
The kind of fixed where takers don't receive
and receivers don't take
The kind of fixed that only a people can break
I never elected my government, but
it has taken all that I have received
Reciprocity is only fair.
Freedom is somewhat limited
In a so-called democratic society
At times, people cannot truly tell it like it is
People cannot vote freely
Without some restrictions or some stupidities
In order to weaken the disadvantaged
Even though the US first amendment guarantees
Freedom of speech, freedom of expression
To assemble peacefully, freedom of religion
Freedom is not what it is
It is not how it is articulated in the glossary
Freedom is relative, please
Do not say fire vociferously
Or yell gun in the theater
At church or in the street corner
You will be prosecuted
Freedom is not what it should be
It is not what the US Constitution intended
It to be
Freedom is somewhat controlled and limited.

Take the word “TRUMP”, reverse it and change a few letters
You get “PERVURT” sorry couldn't come up with anything better
Not appropriate for a shitting prez
But it's free speech the constitution sez
It's changing a lot of yankees into a bunch of bed wetters
John F Kennedy said this about the people of East Berlin, "the people of East Berlin are voting with their feet." Hence the land of "eloquent silence." Where people were so afraid of being turned into the state police. They were afraid to speak their minds in a socialistic form of government. For the fear of being turned over for questioning and integration by the communist security police.
In spite of what happened during the Vietnam generation. And in spite of what has been happening in Hong Kong and in Valenzuela young American people are favoring a socialist government. They are censoring freedom of expression as hate speech. Which includes any person who disagrees with you. Yes, racist speech is hate speech! And so is censoring freedom of expression by the term political correctness! Political correctness violates free speech!
Remember the days when it was not politically correct in the United States of America to wish people a Merry Christmas? Cities and town were prohibited from Christmas decorations. Especially if they were religious in nature! They even wanted to ban people from displaying Christmas religious decorations on their lawns. People used terms such as happy holidays and season's greetings and they still do today. Which is fine by me!
When I was younger, Winter break was called Christmas Vacation. And spring break was called Easter Vacation. That changed even when I was enrolled in the public school system. I was either in high school or junior high. When it first took effect. Choirs and bands could not sing religious songs.
The ten commandment and religious monuments were being torn down
by people, who wanted freedom from religion. Cites such as Everett Washington had to fight to keep our ten commandments. By designating it as an historical landmark.
People have the basic right not to believe in God if they want to! That's what freedom of religion is all about. People have the right to believe in God if they want to. People have the right to disagree, and I would like to keep it that way!
Love in Christ Jesus!

our Republic cries
as rightful Liberty dies ~
what cost our Freedom
Friends our Government are setting up a Governance board to censor you, tag you, give you a fine, or put you in jail if you voice an opinion they don't like. They hired Nina Jankowicz to monitor all social media. If you don't think the collapse of free speech is here, without sounding rude, your living under a rock. Friends Fertilizer plants are being destroyed. Farmers cannot grow crops because of it. Farmers are also being paid not to grow crops. The biggest export port in the world, in Shanghai is shut down, the seventh largest port in British Columbia also. Like I have been screaming, they are orchestrating food shortages. Why? More control of you. You will have to eat their food which I would starve before eating. Also the supply for gas will diminish and there will be rationing all done on purpose. Get your houses in order. Stock up on food. Move away from the cities, start growing your own food. Start preparing for whats coming. As they call it The Great Reset. If you don't know what that is , please look it up. The New World Order, in other words. They will eliminate cash and bring in the Bitcoin currency for more monitoring of where your spending your money. If you speak against them your funds will vanish. Soon we will loose all power, no phone usage, no electricity, etc . They will blame lets say the Russians or another similar group. Read your bibles especially Revelation. God doesn't lie. He told you in Revelation what is coming. He told you before I did. If you don't know Jesus, now is the most important time to know him, because it is sad to say that those days spoken of Revelation are here now. God bless you all and may the good Lord be with you...

It does not matter if you do not like the tune!
i know plenty of deaf folk praying for miracles!
If noses can charter the way to a juicy prune!
plus blow it loudly!and enjoy a wee tickle!
In alien tongues or mixed up words or lyrics!
annoyed?!irritate!?or simply non understandable!?
think of whales! all corresponding!tracks!
then try and destroy this hate killed Abel!
jive jubilation
free falling frustration
illegal illustration
victorious vivid verbalization
heavy speech
crushing
compressing civilizations
simple work
heart ache head hurt
sucker for butt hole jerks
being big breasted has it's perks
everyone has their quirks
baby got booty to twerk
throw me a smile
I'll catch it with a smirk
I'll always be a rebellious child of mother earth
'Occupiers' closed Oakland port last night
Don't they realize that ain't very bright
Nuts and fruits are shipped from there
So a caution should they care
They could be shipped to get them outta sight
(Just exercising my 'free speech' rights as well!)

Autumn though of herself as a kind soul,
and she took great pride in her compassion,
she believed things could be made perfect,
and her voting reflected this fashion.
She was to see that the wealth was shared,
and that people were nice in their words,
since so few out there ever recognized
how what they said could offend and disturb.
If folks would only learn some basic tact
then everything would run more smoothly,
and she was so glad to help elect leaders
who would take a strong stand against ‘hate speech.’
One day she saw on social media
a report about a conspiracy man
who liked to breath fire when he spoke his mind,
so the tech giants all had him banned.
But she didn’t think that much about it,
she’d never liked that fellow anyway,
so she shrugged it off as unimportant,
and mindlessly went about her day.
A month later she saw some new footage
of men’s right activists under attack,
for trying to change the family courts
they were set upon by hoodlums in black.
But Autumn did not care much for their cause,
opposing women was beyond the pale,
why listen to fools who had never been told
that the future ‘belonged to females?’
A year after that a church made the news
when it refused to marry two men,
the pastor tried to explain his reasons,
but ‘Anti-fascists’ just threw rocks at him.
Autumn just shook her head at the scene,
had not the pastor heard of the new laws?
Who was he to claim that he knew the truth?
To exclude folks on the word of his ‘God?’
Three months later, in campaign season,
a brash man roused the crowds with his rants,
said all sorts of things she found horrible,
it was really getting out of hand.
And when the networks block out all his ads,
and refused to cover his rallies,
Autumn felt that peace had been restored,
there were ‘standards’ to democracy.
Then a year later a new judge declared
that ‘hateful words’ were not protected,
Autumn was glad, progress would be made!
She eagerly waited for what lay ahead…
Over the next two years many people
ran afoul of this new ‘moral code,’
it started with fines, then came prison time,
hundreds, then thousands, to the jails did go.
Autumn started to feel a bit uneasy
at all the chaos that it had caused,
but every change came with some trial,
and those people had broken the laws...
CONCLUDES IN PART II.
If you don’t support free speech
There’s something wrong with you.
If you don’t support free speech
You’re evil through and through.
If you don’t support free speech
Then you can go get screwed.
If you don’t support free speech
There’s something wrong with you.
Johnny wore a black mask
And carried a long stick.
Say something he didn’t like,
He’d swing at you right quick.
Hitting folks at protests
Was his favorite trick,
But then Johnny got arrested,
And deservedly so, the prick!
Zander was invested
In social media concerns.
But some folks posted things
That made his mind burn.
So then claiming virtue
He decided to censor.
Now the internet hates him,
How quickly things do turn.
Lola the English professor
Decided that she knew ‘hate.’
She’d write up any student
Who dared try to debate.
She called such people bigots,
And loudly would berate,
Until a constitutional lawyer
Slapped the 1st into her face.
If you don’t support free speech
There’s something wrong with you.
If you don’t support free speech
You’re evil through and through.
If you don’t support free speech
Then you can go get screwed.
If you don’t support free speech
There’s something massively wrong with you.
I was skimming the internet
and found a man who preached,
can’t ever say that I’d agree
with any of his speech.
He hated nuclear power,
said that it should be banned,
that is was just a folly and
would be the end of man.
So I asked this man if he thought
that we faced climate change?
He said he did, so I said next,
“Then your stance is insane.
Nuclear is the only way
to meet our power needs
if you are truly serious
on being carbon free.”
I expected a fierce debate,
in which both sides might learn,
instead he cried,”I’m offended!:
and I got banned in turn.
The same thing happened when I dared
to challenge abortion,
they cried to social media
and my account was done.
No marketplace for our ideas,
no room for other views,
if we cannot challenge our thoughts,
how will we find the truth?
This haunted me for a long time,
our minds are limited,
mankind just cannot long survive
without hearing what’s said.
Our lives and futures will stagnate
without the constant church,
sometimes we need to go offend,
and be offended in turn.
What good is an echo chamber?
How will you deal with harm,
If all you do is run away
from words that may alarm?
And since some can misinterpret
even the nicest words,
to silence people for ‘offense’
is utterly absurd!
That would mean that no single soul
would every get to speak,
since someone [always takes offense,
somebody always freaks.
It’s wrong to silence the people,
even if inside you burn,
to speak is to be offensive,
and be offended in turn.
Even murderous soviets
could not stop what folks say,
truth and opinion will get out,
they always find a way.
Hiding from it makes the mind weak,
untested, unprepared,
dealing with it strengthens the soul
and teaches the unaware.
Difference always brings conflict,
but is that a bad thing?
If offense brings a new idea
that means you’re still changing.
Our minds aren’t meant to be static,
for challenges they will yearn,
to grow we must be offensive,
and be offended in turn.
