The Garden of Eden
Some people believe that the Garden of Eden
Was in Africa, Asia, Australia...not Sweden.
The presumed site of its location
Is assumed from the interpretation
Of which Good Book's being read…and who's doin' the readin'.

Noah
Noah's ark, neither yacht nor a sloop,
Was constructed to be one big animal coop.
On his crew It must have been a strain
That during forty days and nights of rain
To keep forking in fodder and scooping out poop.

It Ain't Necessarily So
Pious people are prone to become agitated
When agnostics assess their belief's overrated,
And the words that they're liable
To find in the Bible
By mere men were created, not divinely dictated.

Premium Member Blows from An Axe

One-liner
of doom...

"I'm leaving you"

Mercy!

The poor fellow
must've died
a thousand deaths
right then...

"Whack! Whack! Whack!"
goes an axe
straight through
his confused heart.
Ouch!
 A devastating impact.

Numb to the bone
as he stands,
directly facing her,
in arrested astonishment;
listening...
as she narrates
the end
of everything.
Too numb
to utter so much as
a word.

He stands there
as if
frozen in time,
growing...
increasingly deaf
with disbelief;
too stunned
to plead...
                 "Baby, please, don't do this!"
Or cry out
an anguished "Now, wait a minute!"

On her breath,
the fetid stench of death;
d e a t h
of gargantuan dreams
dreamt together.
Their panorama
of bright tomorrows
suddenly look
blacker than charcoal.

He listens
as she's speaking
but doesn't comprehend
the words
forking into him
like flashes of lightning.
Hopelessly lost in
"How did it come to this?"

A sucker-punch
that landed
with speed so blinding
he couldn't see it!
Unbearable pain
that writes itself
across his crimson face
His defeated spirit,
a bark of a tree
withstanding blows
from an axe.

Poetics Poem, Red River Gorge, Ky

Poetics Poem, Red River Gorge, KY

I traipse the course of a forking, rambling stream
Barefoot from the rounded top of one small boulder
To another, the slashing strikes of cold water
Startling my every careful leap, place to place,
Landing with deep, short gasps, yet wordless
In an utter joy of intense sensation over sun-sprinkled
Spots so bright against the deep gray hollow splotches of
Drenched stone. The stream does not trickle
Along this gorge, but roars the air and throws
Its echoing roundabout the cliffs like a newborn
Learning its scream forth from being
Buried for years beneath massive storeys on up to
Greater views. But, the stream continues its carving around
The hillside. And the newly-born cries will
Find the voices of self-expression with each gasping
Leap from boulders to cliffs, climbing in a wrapabout
The gorge’s hidden, grand lowlands and rising
Of its own ineffable poetry so fully held within the birthing
Of Nature herself, all that which carries
Of language as spoken
In the heart of God.

One More Thing

3/25/19
"One More Thing"

This morning
Clouds forming
Soon to be storming

Most ignoring
The warning
Continually warring

Waters forking
Rapids roaring
Avians soaring
As events continue coursing

Heard enough recordings
That were reporting
About global warming

Whether it's sunny or pouring
Cold or scorching
Dogs and cats arrive for boarding
In a building with tile flooring

Bottles uncorking
This life isn't boring
It's rewarding

This world, we're still exploring
Organisms morphing
Meanwhile plants absorbing
The sunlight, that's supporting
All life, according
To people and other sourcing's

Barely affording
Folks snoring
Out of the loop, close and far from any cording

Drugs and people used for transporting
Still gorging
Battling addictions regarding snorting

Far too many hoarding
And overstoring
Thinking they're scoring

Any bull, I'm thwarting
The honest and hard working, I'm supporting
You better stop lording
Before the public starts swarming

About to leave this world, after one more thing

Set Eyes On God To Succeed

Your best investment lies in God’s hands
Which guarantee life, love and boundless care
Regardless of kinds and types of lands
Which your feet dare to walk without forking out any fare

In kind or slush cash
Men and women whose whims
Reduced at death to mere ash
In their temperamental and sentimental teams

Depending on their tricks or moods
Choose to dole out
In their woods
Filled with mood swing and doubt

Until to the core of your mind
Comes the realization
That in men and women
Lies neither your salvation mission nor determination

To bring to fruition the destiny
God in his purpose
Chose not in your mutiny or calumny
But from his original source

Because in the end only God has the wherewithal
To anticipate, explicate, facilitate, replicate success in your every need
Without under fire a retreat tactical or strategic withdrawal
To ensure that your dreams, missions, portions and options succeed

In addition, God loves you too much
To let you continue to fail
Within every critical touch or dream bunch
In your heart, your home or in your self-inflicted jail.

Premium Member Nourishing Soul

("Honeybee on Apple Blossom", 2020, original pen and ink)

Nourishing Soul

Like a bee to the flower
Holding pollen and nectar
What is it we seek at play in the fields of the Lord
If not nourishment of the soul?

All the basics (food, water, sex and shelter)
Being just that,
The basis for what the soul actually incarnates for;
Knowledge, wisdom, truth, beauty, love and music!

And so the eternal Way
Continually arises as a forking path
Between true and false, good and evil, love and fear
Each step a test of our discernment and resolution.

The soul by nature is just and true
And yet, like a clear mountain spring
Subject to contamination as the influences of this life,
This world, leave a mark; in short the karmic debts we accrue.

And so comes the practical necessity of purifying,
Nipping the inevitable distortion and perversion in the bud,
The stains – pure and impure - that remain,
From each choice and challenge met.

The king of purifiers of course being forgiveness
Based in simple gratitude for the simple fact of simply being
Alive and able to learn, grow and forgive anew
Traveling the open path in confidence with an open mind.

Thus we gain the keys to the High-way, hidden in our pocket all along,
The kingdom, ever-present Here and Now,
To walk alert, head up, eyes and heart wide open - to it all,
Knowing with resolution and discernment we’ll be just fine.

Night Sky Shivers In the Distance

A storm is brewing, excitement coursing through
Who would think calm blue water storm would brew

Calm silence lull before the storm graphite sky
Far away dark haunting canvas slowly creeps by

Sweeping in a heart of darkness, ripping lightning
forking silently then roaring boom without warning

Wind revolves in the sky and sings as Mother Nature’s rave
breath of howling wind blows, churning swells of waves

Torrent rain cascades down as nature proudly braves
whipping insane waves as it tries to make its grave

Cocooned safely in its chalky painted heavy brick walls
waiting to flood through any crack no matter how small

Sentinel‘s ascending numerous spiral steps, veers
beacon casting its beam of light an aid to seafarers

Farewell, Alas

Farewell, alas, our ways now part
At the forking of the road
You leave me now with willing heart
And I must carry still the load

Farewell, alas, bravely once here
You walked in sun and dew
And never did I see a tear
To make this choice, so well thought through.

Farewell, alas, I love you more now
Than when my company you keep
But coming to hills bright brow
You spoke of promises to keep.

Farewell, alas, what courage gleams
And you insistent to know beyond the mist
While I raging defer with screams
The myth that something else be ever better than this.

Farewell, alas, I miss you on the sunless shore
At the forking road you left my side
And I walk on alone, alone the poor
And empty world your parting must abide.

Stolen Life

Once vibrant and cheerful
but now sombre and grey,
the room of beating hearts
has been tainted with pain
and needless misery.
A life once cherished and loved
silenced by the unpredictability
of the forking of roads once
full of determination and strength.
A life has been stolen by the cruelty
of the essence of time.
Tears are shed almost endlessly,
like the elegant flowing fountain found
within a blossoming garden.
Happy memories become painful to
remember, like pointed nails
stabbing in to my delicate skin.
Grief, confusion, and anger all
roll in to one like a congealed
mess suffocating my very thoughts,
a life has been stolen from this
world leaving nothing but ashes
behind.
Although now pain is my only friend
I know one day I shall be reunited
with that cherished life for darkness
is destined to transform into
light.

Premium Member Reverse Sunset

I am but alone, on a world so far from home
Scouting out there somewhere, deliberation is my roam
Territories I now enter, the unknown to us mankind
To learn we have to enter, then knowing is what we find

I exit from where I landed, a so different world from earth
A view I see astounds me that it beggars belief it's worth
Rippled oceans in reflect from it's heavens of colours great
Cobalt statues in shadow stand so proud and straight

Above I see the stars, so much closer to home than they are
Planets that reflect our sun, a reverse sunset now stares
To my left an electrical storm, forking into it's abyss
Then clouds that quickly seemed, now gone as if in wish

To sit here where I sit, where possibly no one has sat before
Witnessing sights we assume never seen, one can only but adore
What highlights it for me, is when our sun arises as it has done
Is this where I plant a beacon, to allow a new colony to run

John M went camping and took his friend Timmy. Off they went to the Forking River Dam. They
went to the Forking Campground near the Forking Dam. They decided to visit the Forking City.
They had to go to the Forking Market. It was near the Forking Gas Station closer to the
furcating
Forking River bending near the Forking swamp turning into the Forking Quicksanding place
there where they turned off the Main Forking Road. They turned Forking right there. There
is a
Forking left turn as well but they had to get to the Forking Store. They bought some
Forking Beer
made in the Forking Brewery. They were still in Illinois. Forking, Ill. Ill is the
abbreviation for
Illinois, so we aer all Forking, Ill. For now. The men were Forking camping so they bought
some
Forking beans made at the Forking beanery. The Forking Meat CO. provided. The Olympic
branch of the Mount Olympus Water CO. Donated the Forking Water. They went to the Forking
River Motel to steal the soap and the towels. They paid for the room and took two Forking Dam
showers. They kept the Forking Dam Ashtray. It has a picture of the Forking Dam River. The
Forking Dam Police were searching for the Forking Dam Campground to arrest the Forking
men. They were not from Forking at all but just out of townies they had come to Forking
Dam to
Fish for Forking Fish. They went to the Forking Boat Dock and rented a Forking Boat the
Indian
Man in charge of the Forking Boat Dock said you out of townies speak with Forking tongue. But
money green in Forking Dam. Good to see you Forking men. The Men in Forking Dam City are
Forking gay. The Forking City Future Club is Oddfellows Hall.
Eye am Forking, Ill. From all that Forking Fish they gave to me the nibbles and the bites
the love
all tied up in Forking Ville. They said that visit day is FrYdaY at the Forking Prison
Institution they
have a Forking Fish fry for religion they want me to go to Forking, Ill. And visit.

Zerk the Berserk

Zerk was a lurking berserk
who lived in the murky-murk of the cirque
by the smirking Turk
Zerk was irking a-jerkin’ and a draught of perkin
Zerk was a-joying his shirker’s approach towards work
Zerk was a-starking, a-barking, and a-marking the world with his dirk
Zerk was a-perking for a-harking about bo-razzle and bo-really fools
Zerk was a-quirking, an abundance of uncorking bottles, un-forking sustenance,
            and un-storking women
Zerk was not a follower of any kirk
Zerk was a-hoping to clerk for an irksome and biased hipster jerk
Zerk was always a-hanging out with his friends Breschel, and Lurch
Zerk contributed his artwork to the world,
Zerk was by no means a berk, instead he was quite the intellectual quirk
Zerk was always a-yerking out at the berks with his political and philosophical propaganda
Zerk was always a-chirking up Lurch with his meditative-mindset

Quickly Moving Slowly

Boys and girls willing and able
Moral judgment isn’t stable
No one reads the label

Quickly Moving Slowly

Red bull gives you wings
Thoughts become things
Naked skin clings

Quickly Moving Slowly

Rollin’ in the hay
Going all the way
Erotic game in play

Quickly Moving Slowly

Foreplay is the game
Lust has no refrain
Love is always pain

Quickly Moving Slowly

Dirty dancing is romancing
Pleasure is to please
Stripping is the tease

Quickly moving slowly

Dreamy eyes, creamy thighs
Rhythm is the writhe

Quickly moving Slowly

Desire ignites the fire
Glamorous is amorous
Just a glance take a chance

Quickly Moving Slowly

Midnight rendezvous
Again at twelve, de ja Vu

Quickly Moving Slowly

Nooner if not sooner
Forking turns to spooner

Quickly Moving Slowly

Back door romancing
Bedroom dancing

Quickly Moving Slowly

Nimble fingers, picks her lock
TICK TOCK, TICK TOCK

Quickly moving slowly

tick tock tick tock

Quickly,

Moving,

Wolf- Man, the Middle

Day crackles clean and warm like burning coal
A new passion swam his veins, they bonded him
For that pheromone was strong in him, and abrim
The pack bayed towards the sunlight burning gold
And welcomed a brave brother wolf into the fold
For he who before the bear stood calm, his noble
Suit displayed, found his totem in a moment bold
And transmigrated his soul to the new realm possible.

He could not make destiny again, but destiny chose
For him, the wolf man everywhere was known. He
Was the hero wanted, yet scorned with circles closed
Like doors against him, for all his deeds of mercy.
But the dog gene made him a man's best friend still
And howling he brings the pack always to his will
Neither did they sit while any child or innocent ached
With fear or pain, and from the malice of evil intent.
The wolf man knew but little thought how each act
Propelled him to a higher level and another death sent
For seeds all die that spring to trees, and the same fact
Was true for him every new level he was to attain
While propelled upwards greater animals to become
He knew the bear level awaited him next in the chain
Of cycles. But for service alone his heart still hummed.

Nor did he know hes was hunted too, for one man firm
In his conviction to repay, the thing that from forest came
The thing massive in muscles, humble in every term
That dared the forking tongue of a livid flame
To retrieve a child, the only child the mother left behind
The child that was enblem and memory of that love
Whose death would perish his flesh and torment his mind
The wolf-like thing, the man beast on wings, dove
In from above, and came out with life between his jaws
Hair fried, and limping as if with injured paws
And the throng of them that rush upon the scene then
Making a barrier between it and curious but cruel men
And how it seemed in thin air he vanished without reward
And cause a grateful father to follow the trail full and hard.

Did he have the hours to find him still, to meet the kind
That make us wretched because our hearts are blind
Did he with ego melted, and with a different disposition
Qualify to know and taste the foreign truth of transmigration
To destinies on the brink of fate, and death at the gate
Gasping and gulping, still in the grasp of time we wait.
