Best Forestalls Poems

The sun is the sun
It rises we run
When it turns the nighttime to day
It's hot when it's cold
And never grows old
As our time slips quickly away
The sun remains the sun

The wind is the wind
It lays and it spins
And on, occasion will rage
Be it warm, be it chilled
Whether gusty or stilled
It changes from page to page
The wind is still the wind

The seas are the seas
Just water no trees
Yet harboring life below
They rise and they fall
But nothing forestalls
Their predictable to and fro
The seas are the seas

We think we see change
Ordinary looks strange
Perhaps, something new has begun
In the grandest of schemes
We're all chasing dreams
There's nothing new under the sun.

 This is my interpretation of
 Ecclesiastes Chapter 1 verse 9
...what has been will be again,
what has been done will be done again
there is nothing new under the sun.

The scholars say man is innately good.
He just needs training to do what he should.
Education will his nature improve,
and most of his imperfections remove.

God is not needed to help man break through,
much knowledge, reason, and science will do.
No need for old-fashioned values at all.
Rid man of these which his freedom forestalls.

After a century and more of this scheme,
has man accomplished his lofty pipe dream?
Knowledge in all fields has greatly increased,
but man’s nature has not grown in the least.

Man has access to more information,
but humans are still less educated.
Science is making people live longer,
but mankind is not morally stronger.

Man has the many means technology lends,
but has abandoned the few noble ends.
He has more contents but less contentment,
much wealth does not his happiness augment

The schools produce men with heads but no hearts,
void of a conscience, but very book smart.
They rule our lives and make our laws,
determine our rights and decide our cause.

Lewis predicted how the scheme would end.
A few smart men to the peak will ascend,
with much power and greed within their breasts,
the many being ruled by men without chests.

Couplet

Storm rages brimestones from ages to ages.
The earth quakes from its foundation, flakes of hell erupts from the depths beneath.
   Seed of discord blossom
In the very cord of the society as nightfalls in soweto forestalls the dawning of a new era.
Blaming mankind's curiosity or nature's complexity.

This is my first attempt on couplet, critics are welcome to air their minds.

Premium Member The Scream

The darkness comes in bleeding sorrow when Autumn calls
and summer’s dying light fades to cold, shadow filled dusk,
as the quiet stillness of the invading night falls,
once again, broken on deathly gleaming bloodshot eyes.

She knows what they want with their vulgar words and catcalls.
They have been here before but on this night she feels fear.
The coolness of the air seems foreboding as time crawls
past midnight and their looming presence fills the shadows.
A cross dangles low atop her layered camisoles.
Clutching it she whispers a prayer; the night goes still.

With handsome, quiet demeanor her flight he forestalls.
“Calm my sweet,” his deep voice offers as his cape appears
and her scream of morbid fear, echoes off of the walls.

Autumn's Wink at Winter

Stares at the glit of a harvested moon,
felicitous sways northernly o'er ripen earth,
divorcing neath horizon's haulage.

Rises the yam sun that courses a forenoon cast,
towering mist espoused crusted loam and verdurous life,
progresses towards insignificance.

Abandon lofty leafy legions,
descension in crumpled layers,
... of impaled saffron petals,
... of lain chartreuse fronds.

Strewn against a capricious path,
the weight of feet crinkles crispy snaps to arouse the quietude,
echoes summons a dusty field in white,
ebbing the tides of a wintry breath.

Afar strewed a few sunflowers to escort its mentored sun,
ere setting to their eastward repose position.

Brisk breeze encounters a trial,
a crafted shawl snuggly wraps,
homeward bound via hot cider,
a lit fireplace as a book is read.

A forested cabin well-engaged boast outwardly entertained,
prominence forestalls in burgundy, copper, and blonde,
snowflakes tenderly smooch the befallen perianths,
forgivingly melts to the usual taste of Autumn.

Lusus Naturae Sonnet 47 (Petrarchan)

Between the witching hour and saffron dawn,
When guileless hearts are peacefully asleep,
An evil prowls a wolf amidst the sheep,
With fangs as bloody daggers swithly drawn;

And erelong the warmth of blood shall spawn,
A frenzy thus unloosed from hellish keep,
While all the angels’ watch and soothly weep,
As souls are bled, until ungodly gone.

Awake I prithee, yon morrow blushes night;
While sun forestalls evil in its grave,
Prepare a holy arsenal to fight;
And double-glaze thine eyes with marbled sight;

Your dead, undead shall rise a vampires’ slave,
Then woe to hearts unsheathed eftsoons twilight.

Ink Lings

It's always been there. You know. That urge
To turn a thought into a material thing
Express yourself as your hand is willed
Imagination, poured upon a page

I kid myself that lack of time forestalls my effort
For inside, I know it is me that lingers in the gate
The fear of rejection is strong. What price humility
Does the risk outweigh the reward.

But then, a comment. Someone has enjoyed my musings
Exhilaration flows through me. Validation
I know now that I must throw my voice upon the page
And let those I engage accept it as they may

I revel in a sense of satisfaction
Revealing, like a stripper, bits of me
Through a shared thought, a moment, a connection
My “Ink”lings shaped into my verse

Lamenting Blossom

Lamenting Blossom

Shed not tears of grief.
Light forestalls your requiem.
Glorifying life.

Bizarre the moves of scary fest,
Creepy moon glow in harvest fields;
Halloween comes with trick or treat,
The crazy stir of magic laughter;
Strange happenings that loiter here,
Parade of ghouls that fester seed;
Mimes of a kind in show and spell,
Moody the fling of hurl and swirl;
The motley bunch of costumes ply,
Cult of old fest in pagan rites;
Grip of lost trips from mystic woes,
Troubles erupt to pickle groans;
Purge of a dirge in lasting urge,
Forestalls a reach in fiery flames.

Premium Member Life As a Tree

LIFE AS A TREE

A tree stays rooted in the same place,
its shadow forestalls the passing of time
It takes what's needed from the earth
and explores existence as a tree.

What secrets fed the roots from teddered soil
A naked force, we cannot see, a mystery unknown
that trees and human beings are seldom shown.

Only that we grow in timely stages and
And whether it is just a tree or me,
it will always seem to be
a question never fully answered.

Nightfall

Twilight gleams as its last, satiating stream falls
Malingering shadows cast their tepid tent over the sun's fiery cauls
Shadows recede; an eerie awning o'er earth's tenants slowly crawls
Darkness's bleary shroud o'er earth's canopy sprawls
Jaded sojourners scurry to their lighted halls; ballasted by their plastered walls
Nocturnal creatures emerge, echoing their long, doleful calls
The moon's, silver silhouette over the listless expanse sprawls
Its magnetic beams do fawning opposites attract; alternately, o'er vixen minds duplicity scrawls
Twinkling flood lights stream mystical portents; causing the wandering eye to pause
In the outer limits, each dilated orb in its own purview of the milky strand trawls
Distilled vapors disburse; earth's canopy enthralls
Frothy dew strokes the svelte canvas then wantonly withdraws
A blighting chill hovers over the stillness; fertile growth forestalls

Asinine Alcohol

Asinine alcohol alters me into a paper sniper
Ready to bounce and pounce on any challenger
Who dares to dance his lance in the path of my pied piper
Primed to civilize and sanitise viewpoints of an avenger.

Asinine alcohol magnifies my crucial social strength
Metamorphosing my frail figure into a Gulliver
With mesmerizing might in both girth and length
Although in reality a midget differs from both Oliver Twist and McGyver.

Asinine alcohol rolls my eyes, my world, my brain
Turning every reel of reality topsy-turvy
In a kaleidoscope catapult in which the reign of my refrain
Immortalises illusions, imprisons reason giving way to scurvy.

Asinine alcohol forestalls balls, walls and calls for sobriety
Pouring scorn, whittling away sapience on the horn of moderation
Measured on a scale of propriety, sobriety and impropriety
In the context of consideration, celebration and cerebration.

Premium Member Viewpoint

Your viewpoint can be comforting,
Or your viewpoint can be troubling:
Either comforting as a safeguard,
Or as troubling as a canard.

A safeguard tunnels Saints through sin.
A canard tunnels sinners through spin.
Though God created man upright,
He schemes to hide sin from the light.

With idols in front of their faces,
The Lost stumble in dark places.
Seeking a number of oracles,
Swells their number of obstacles.

Hypocrites whitewash their walls.
Their ruse of righteousness forestalls,
Examining what lies underneath.
The Spirit's Sword stays in its sheathe.

The Weak wrap their sin inside "love",
A "love" that belies truth from above.
They will not progress anymore,
As rottenness spreads from their core.

Rebels should open their minds,
When Scripture reveals, it unbinds,
For mankind is much maligned,
Projecting their bias resigned.

The Perfect focus on God's plan,
Having the mind of the God-Man,
A conduct that's surely becoming,
For Saints prepared for His Coming.

By embracing this point of view,
We achieve the promised breakthrough,
Being perfected in the Master's way,
God's will we're faithful to obey.

Strive for the Prize that lies ahead,
Through the One who rose from the dead.
His light and immortality shine,
Dispelling the darkness by Design.

Adopt the pursuit that frees us,
That intimacy with Christ Jesus,
And exchange the viewpoint of mankind,
For the viewpoint that transforms your mind.

The deletion of one's post will then have a direct impact on one's totality of posts being reduced by that action, in equal numbers,

where the relevancy will be the act of adding a post to one's totality of their posts being increased by that action, in equal number.

The consequences of those plus or minus acts should directly impact one's posts encountering a stipulation.

Albeit, the modus operandi forestalls, at which point the deletion of two posts almost immediate to each other, and in pursuit, similarly its totality reduced, with the recommended window for numbered of privileged posts--

--Should have ascertained relief of two deletions upon its immediacy, an act for an act, and be accorded the window of opportunity times two within the same time frame:
