ado the realms that I have plunged with phrase
they have no shape - no bound'ries or expanse
some wend in heaven's dreams or hell's malaise
     thoughts sown a demon's kiss or angel's dance ...

such myst'ries there are born from matter, gray
those maelstroms wend the mind's complexities
what seems dark and chaotic through its sway
works fierce to find the beauty each eye sees ...

while wordsmiths tend to stretch upon the rack
of flow'ry phrase, for sake of bloom and breaths
there's far more dire concern with candor's lack
than all the horror wrought ten thousand deaths ...

please don't misunderstand these words of mine
true eloquence is birthed through grain OR chaff
with thoughts that bare the soul in grand design
and swell dear hearts that break on their behalf ...

pray, deign to think me common, though I was
dear love's sweet fool, a million times too much
and though I'd trade my loves for verse's cause
     the dearest poem can't trump ... a woman's touch.

Premium Member Jewel of Jesus

How do I proclaim the Jewel of Jesus;
I’m just a fool. The words delight
and disappear. How does one praise
the holy one? He’s too much for words.
I’m not worthy to lift him up in song;
I sing along with those duly gifted.
The wonder of lyrics with such treasures:

Here I raise my Ebenezer;

Let highborn seraphs tune the lyre,
and as they tune it, fall;

I’ll fly away, oh glory, I’ll fly away…

How do I proclaim the Jewel of Jesus;
I’m just a fool, a fool who leans
on scripture and gleams truths.
My biblical articulation is mute;
how do you describe eternity, infinity,
true love? In simplicity, perhaps.

He was put to death by sinners,
buried and three days later
breathed forevermore; we’ve
been invited - we choose
our afterlife. Do you really
want to obtain the most precious
jewel ever offered? You can only
embrace, you can’t give Him away.

Ruby-red, sapphire-bruised, pale-opal…
Fiery-garnet eyes, many crowns on his head…

I’m just a fool to try, but I must try
to put Jesus in a human box -
can we even describe how breathless
we will be when we see divinity?

Let Rip the Farts of Love and War

I love to fart, it stands me tall,
the raucous rumbling, belly bell,
all look around with eyes aghast,
to witness such a mighty blast.

when before the beak for slander foul,
I gave him one that made him scowl,
“does Sir require a time alone?”
I farted down his crony’s phone.

and if I’m lauded, like Le Potomane,
I light one to produce a tongue of blue
incandescent flame; thus lit, the room
and shadows prance, about the room
the dragons dance

and when in battle we cower from gun,
and want to encourage my comrades on,
I crouch below hell’s muddy trench, and
thus release the devil’s stench

then running forward death all around, I
fart the bugle’s curdling sound, and to
the enemy’s quick dumbfound, so
soon we seize triumphant ground

you see for me it is no shame, to unleash
the belly’s dogs of war, and oft when
travelling by first class, I give them a blast
from boiling ass

when love speaks strong and passion cries,
beneath the sheets there are no lies, so ahhs!!
or Oohs!! I never start, but let rip a lover’s
orgasmic fart

look: tis not the wallet, watch or jewel, that
creates the jinx, and mocks the fool, a prettier
penny lies beneath;
tis the fart; and jealous mule, the thief.

I Continue To Rise

MAYA ANGELOU INSPIRED ME WITH THE POEM STILL I RISE

I've been judged by the color of my skin
Treated like i'm a nothing,a nobody
Called by many a name:a fool, a nothing,not even a human
But i continue to rise

They hate me for who i am
They try their best to put me down
They try to fill my heart with despair
But yet i still continue to rise

Every chance they get,its to cause me hurt
They look at me like i'm some kind of abomination
They constantly seek my extermination
But i still continue to rise

Do they hate me for just being me
That i don't follow the crowds,or go with their flow
The fact that i'm different from them
The fact that i don't do the same things they do.

And as if that wasn't enough
My own race at times shun me, and criticize each other
Their constanly going against one another, son against father, daughter against mother
Sometimes i feel trapped in this malice
Smothered in this constant hatery of the races
We all must try to seek freedom and redemption
This is why i must continue to rise

I offer prayers to those in need of prayers
I shed a tear for the fallen and broken, watching the tears become a river
Can you people see this black youth's tears
All i can do now is pray for peace, hope, and better days
In fact, let me say a prayer in hopes of better days
For these reasons i'm gonna continue to rise

I want to say peace and love to people in the east, west, north, and south.
To lift them all out of misery, sorrow, and doubt
R.I.P. and love to those who've come and gone.
Good luck and better days to those who've yet to be born.

R.I.P. to my people who're no longer here.
Love to those who're fighting for a better future
But until the day that i can see you all again
I will continue to live, continue to dream

Through all the pain,sadness,and rain.
The sun will shine one day again.
And we'll hold hands and watch hope rise
Which is why for that I WILL STILL CONTINUE TO RISE..

Mirror

Lying on the grass carpet,
I met myself,
A kid from the past oblivion.
Sought my assistance,
Questioned the path I travelled.

We both talked an hour,
Despite our dissimilarities,
The faces were the same.
It left me in awe initially,
Calmed knowing it's me.

The road I travelled,
Not less a disappointment,
Now I look back, it screams at me,
They say I'm a hypocrite.
You indeed enjoy the journey.

Black skies hover the lost path,
A blurred image I can't see through.
Is this the cataract on my eyes?
"Let the sun shine again"
But child, what’s changed if ghosts remain?
Why drag me back to that old pain?

He spoke of summers, bright and free,
Yet stirred the graves inside of me.
I relived, though vague,
His words were de-ja-vu.
Grave screeches, woke the dead.
Revived past.
Now they raise questions too,
Contradicting my every statement.

Don't get curious kid, it backs downfall
People would judge you.
They spare none,
Be a hero, a fool, a king, a clown...
Raise the shield, prepare for the battle
Let the war come.

You remember, don't you?
So, you harbour the grudges?
Did you fight back, or just hold pain?
I apologise, it must be early.
I wish I could make them stop.
Do me this favour.

I drew a line between justice and revenge,
You should too.
The line I once crossed, hardships manipulated,
Caused me a war, and left me blind.
The life you live, I can't recall,
We share the name, but no such life.

Premium Member Blood Red Moon

In moonlight, where all lovers kiss
Beware the spell that charms a fool
For crimson red will vex the eyes

A capricious stain will startle eyes
A trick to tempt crossed lover's kiss
Bewitching every star-struck fool

If you choose to be the fool
Beguiled by moon, who winks an eye
Be wary of the moonlight kiss

A kiss will fool a blind man's eye, when stars conspire with the moon

Along a moonlight path, where lovers kiss
Beware the spell that charms a fool
For the midnight hour can blind the eye

A capricious dark will twinkle eyes
A trick to tempt crossed lover's kiss
Bewitching every star-struck fool

If you choose to be the fool
Beguiled by moon, who winks an eye
Be wary of the moonlight kiss

A kiss will fool a blind man's eye, when stars conspire with the moon

Life Plays With Death

I’ve been needing your lies

I’ve been craving your poison

I’ve been missing your demons

I’ve been loving your hater

While I was playing with death

While it was ing me upside down

While I was freezing face to hell

I’ve been moaning your name

When my hands were trembling

When my soul was jumping

When my veins were twisting

I howled your April’s farewell

Once Azrael was invited

And the sky was open

Then my mind got naked

Your shadow was my only Savior

My voice was resonating

But from your ears was forbidden

My snow capped depth was on the summit of its alp

Pleading you to be its shield

That’s when you threw it into a dark swamp

Claiming that you were lost in a blinded place

Everything was mute and your bones were broke

But I saw you secretly radiating in a crystal ball

You thought I’m nowhere nearer

Was it amusing to fool a downcast lifer?

You were pushing my destiny to its sharp ending chapter

Below the belts freedom was dedicated to a shrewd sinner

Meanwhile I’ve been taken to where nothing left to catch

Failures over the time of my rotten life have built my forgotten grave

Gloomy butterflies surrounded my sick grove

No flowers to bloom no hope to suck

No words to draw no feelings to touch

No time to rush no remorse to scratch

The door of paradise was barely visible

But the clouds drove me to a fiery jungle

I begged life to be my sucker

One last elegiac parting with winter

But death was an invincible fighter

Loneliness was feeding my blur future

Chiselling out my anxiety within four blank walls

Then stirred up a wild storm of toxic fears

Moving on was the synonym of stuck in a rut

A sterile heart gave up on its darned patience

Charcoaled love erased its existence

Dry tears chained to these anorexic cheeks

You shutdown the light you once heated up

Now I’m sober yet drunk on my coma

Trying to perforate your karma

While cleaning up my ugly Fantasia.

Where I was your moon and you were my star

Heather Bids To Whither

You can't fool a dancer,

hard reverb coming at you like Prancer-

welcome-wagon interstellar like Lancer-

holy demon!
When did my steam stop?

Holly weedin'!
Where did you chop chop?

Heeeeeeeeeeeey! ! ! !

Welcome here...
Its home in the winter.

Heeeeeeeeeeeey! ! ! !

Dear Splinter,

it's a creep in the depths of the beat,

it's the 'I won'ts' in the Orgasms and weeps,

the liver turns into seed,
never forgets to breathe,

because the end will set us all free! ! !

Welcome here,
I have a reason to sound clear,

so don't drop out justifyin' why you're not-
flappin- flippin- rectifyin,'
or wearing any gear...

Heather bids to whither in winter with a sinner!

Dharma- bammered- donner's party at dinner!

Don-wan gets undertaken by the cowards of the crewman,

that's what happens off stage at an out-land!

Astounding as the crowd that attracts,

jumpin' jimmy's all around the facts,

people clambering over outdated nick-nacks,

elders not retiring because they know they put evil back,

William wondered of war over sea's with the remorse,

Donna sang to the serious on stage with the poor,

verdict was made to off set the players inundating us with words,

technology crashed the earth and left the economy for the birds.

Love Sonnet

Love Sonnet
This afternoon at the local grocer I had bought a bottle of beer
and a tin of tuna fish and I meet the daughter of the woman
I had been in love with, I had never seen her before and said
halloo like she knew me and she was as lovely as her mother
was. Her mother came and I said something flattering, they both
smiled knowingly, you can`t fool a woman about love. I`m sure
her mother had told her daughter of my trips to the post office
where she worked t the time. And they have been laughing, not of
derision, but by my inability to express my love openly.

I`m telling this because when I came from hospital in December
after collapsing and had been given a pacemaker and the onset of
the shingles I was in despair both physically and mentally and
I said if I had died I would have no knowledge about this tristesse
My wife cried and I promised not to speak thus again and I would
not met the daughter of the woman I loved

The Truth Never Lies It Stays the Same

to minimize ones pain
to stand tall beneath the shallow insults

to hide behind a mask or laptop
a fool , a cowards way to go

The truth is so light and will heal the sad broken
no one has the right to take the truth from you
The truth that happened , the truth spoken

The light and the Dark
The evil and the good
As Christ was crucified
by jealousy causing humility and pain

some laughed and were entertained
while the Mother Mary cried helpless, feeling shamed
The Truth never lies , it will always stay the same .

May God bless you all tonight~

A Clown, a Coquette and a Cleric

A fool, a buffoon, a comedian or a clown
They all act stupid but are really smart,
They are an odd breed of their own
Just for laughs they win your heart.

A lady, a lass, a vamp or a tramp
They all act gullible but are pretty smart,
With a tease or a taunt they lay a trap
Just with a smile they steal your heart.

A priest, a rabbi, a swami or a holy man
They all act pious but are a bunch of upstarts,
With a preach or a sermon they summon
your souls and bleed dry your trusting hearts.

Yet We Endure, We Lost Devils Of Mankind

O' what boldness the soft-shoe'd thief had
when rustling through my heart's home.
Invisible- never seen, but wickedly bad
and just as complicated as a geodesic dome.

Sent ahead- her vision to my soul entice
she of wondrous eyes and softest arms.
Knowing I'd be trapped by my own device
and never resist the lures of her charms!

Life's ancient irony is that love is blind
and biggest fool, a wishful hero to be.
Yet we endure, we lost devils of mankind
desperately swimming, each in our sea.

Of earth's patient resilience, love yet stands.
Victor, across each border and all the lands!

Robert J. Lindley, 10-28-2015

Note- A sonnet dedicated to this fine day!

I woke- sweet light met my eyes
aware that everybody dies
My- how youth and dear time fly
life again- yet for another day,
or is that just another comforting lie?

Between the Lines

Sometimes there between the lines
A hidden message lurks.
Sharp-eyed readers understand
That’s often how it works.

Simple correspondences
May seemingly reveal
Communiques at odds with how
The sender might just feel.

Perception isn’t always right
And instinct could be off,
But truth may fool a shallow soul
While “deeper” folk may scoff.

What we say and mean
May twist and tangle up like vines;
The trick in the deciphering
Is there between the lines.

Pennies Too Many

You can fool a fool,
you can cheat one’s mind.
You can con a con,
even steal from the blind.

You can shake a shaker,
you can brutalize a Brut.
You can mob a mobster –
and embezzle their loot.

You can charm a charmer,
sell your soul for a penny.
You can take from a taker,
for pennies you have many.

But can you hold a hand,
and experience love for free?
Know true respect for all to see?
Gain one's trust without a fee?
You poor, poor, foolish soul,
who will ever get to know the "real me".
