Here appears diversity and divisiveness --
Similar words with different meanings,
I must not allow them to come between
Those folks who exhibit different leanings.
Diversity is a good thing, expanding my mind
Divisiveness frequently foments contention,
While it seeks to enforce its firm beliefs
Often giving no opposing views attention.
Diversity must be differences understood
And appreciated as a part of our culture,
Not thinking of differences as dividing
But enriching, becoming part of our nature.
I can never see everything as others do
For I am constantly formulating my ways
But I will try my best to understand you
And accept you, as you are … always!

I’ve an anger which cannot be hidden!
A burning passion that comes unbidden!
My Soul desolated with grievous rage,
reacts with furious justified outrage!
Occasioned by the offences of ignorance,
bigotry, discrimination and intolerance!
Though evil are the ravages of vandalism,
they pale to the magnitude of racialism!
Colour, creed, even the shape of the eye
is little enough to make bigots cry:
“He’s not of us! He’s a different breed!”
“Watch him close or he’ll do us an ill deed!”
There is no cause for remarks such as these,
but pestilent views are like a disease!
Some ill chosen words expressed in vague
terms, insinuate like a fatal plague!
Ethnic slurs in the guise of humour, fester!
With but one angry response one protester,
can incite more slander, which raging out of hand,
foments a backlash! Runs rampant! Inflames the land!
But racism is a sword with a two edged blade!
It cleaves not only those on whom it’s laid
but those who scorn to curb their vicious tongue
from whom such defamatory words have sprung!
Can we not accept those who are not as us?
Must we blame the innocent for the fuss
instigated by such biased perception?
Let us quash ignorance at its inception,
or by default we shall be guilty too!
By using diverse conceits we construe
to make imprudent acts lawful decrees!
While disregarding all impassioned pleas
for tolerance! Unless we denounce this blight,
or take a stand and with fortitude, to fight
and end disharmony, discord and dislike!
Racialism and hatred will flourish alike!
Rhymer April 1st, 2017.
The axis of time foments rage,
And eats freely of cloth.
Even better days will wilt,
Crying, What else comes hither?
The snow on the mountain
Is frozen now, but soon will melt.
The days lengthen like shadows
in the evening.
Time moves on eating as leprosy,
Fomenting trouble upon the unwary.
Post haste, my friend,
And I will trouble you no more.
Beyond some early horizon
The sail of a ship is visible.
It portends a morning:
Shaking to and fro as drunken.
The axis of time foments rage,
The snow on the mountain is frozen now.
Time moves on eating as leprosy,
Beyond some early horizon.

I have eyes that cannot see
The beautiful world around me
The kaleidoscope which life wears
To display happiness and conceal tears.
I have ears that cannot hear
The music of life everywhere
The notes of the piano, the song of the bird
The cacophony that becomes awfully weird.
I have a nose that cannot smell
The fragrance of love in the heart dwell
It blossoms like a rose for a while
And soon withers away in exile
I have a tongue that cannot taste
The fruits of passion which go waste
All that’s left within is the seed
That sprouts despair and foments greed.
I have fingers that cannot touch
The dreams that I cherish so much
They create the sensation of bliss
Something is surely amiss.
The five senses are a gift
God has given to help us from going adrift
Alas! We fail to use them as we should
And treat them like deadwood.

Written for all my friends who suffer from depression
For eons the Wooly Mammoth slumbers, deep in his impatient sleep
Restless beneath his brilliant blanket of Artic Ice.
Neath the timeless tundra you can hear him weep.
Memory is a thunderstorm raging in the caverns of his mind
Frozen in the inexorable blue glacier of his torment,
Grinding down all time lost and misspent.
Aghast, he dreams of a past significantly better
And finds that tortuous road a loss much bitter,
He turns instead to the visions of a future perfect.
In the germ of his wintry bones there is flora fair
Potential foments in the virgin forests there.
Radiant aspirations are his heart’s true reason
So he thinks, I must have missed another climate, another season.
On feet that seek and find, he longs to wander forever
In the heat of the succulent jungle air.
He craves to fulfill his naked hunger
But lost, he can no longer.
All he can remember is this mind numbing slumber
And this cold, cold winter.
Lazy clouds, dark and oozy,
Smother alpine views,
Wet with the residue of
Convection, as autumn
Scrapes the senses.
I love the dancing light,
Landscapes brought to life,
Skies blow by and
Nature yawns, fertile,
Ripe and exhausted.
The womb is full, fetal
Folklore foments us
With bounty, beauty,
Bird songs sung by all,
On the glorious path…
Since the day I was conceived, her delicate hands have held me.
Since the day I was created, her hands floated my first endeavor.
At the point when the tears started to rain, her hands covered me.
She has made it a priority to facilitate protecting her treasure.
She was ecstatic to curl and smooth my classic hair Sweep.
Her hands sufficed, and my scars were concealed.
She drew me closer to the star with her soft, steep.
When I finally got her, she hugged me and, by God, she cheered.
I'm glad that she wasn't hurting me when she was playing.
She seldom uses her hands to form and twist trees.
Her hands would embrace the focuses she was making,
Presumably, I'm related to her and depending on her strands.
Time has effectively weighed intensely on her side.
The radical strive of lifting her hands spurs her soreness.
I've never seen such a shocking model of heart inside.
She is my initial stage where foments all my crudeness.
Who taught Love that the most prized asset is the heart.
An exquisite family has blessed us to call it our own.
They remember us for who we are, not for what I've put in the cart.
She enjoys being a mother regardless of our faults and groans.

It’s an uneasy distress
that foments inside of you
A boiling primal urge you have
to lash out and attack
Angry words of distrust and hatred,
born from years of suffering past abuse
Now you wanna empty yourself,
pour all your anguish and grief inside of me
But, I cannot allow this spiritual travesty
to proceed any further
I am not your emotional conduit,
I don’t flow that way
I am not your personal pressure release valve,
blow your hot steam of anger out somewhere else
Why are you so unthankful
for the real love you now have?
God has given you something you’ve been searching for
your whole life
Why do you fear the calm?
My heart I’ve given to you
as a peace offering sacrifice
But, I refuse to be a conduit for your unresolved issues,
I don’t flow that way
You better learn how to release your burning hatred
in a more constructive way
You must learn how to release your hot anger
in a safe, more positive display
Or this love you’ve found in me
will surely evaporate away
I shall enjoy the quiet of this Christmas Eve
Reminiscing about Christmases past,
Thinking about a lost love that will cleave
The heart, but memories do last and last.
Remembering those most treasured moments
I shall enjoy the quiet of this Christmas Eve
For tomorrow the danger of a war foments
And some young soldiers will take their leave.
Listening to soft carol sounds, I shall grieve
While sipping a hot toddy of brandy and cider
I shall enjoy the quiet of this Christmas Eve
But I’ll be wishing I was sitting here beside her.
It’s not likely I’ll be interrupted in my solace
Friends and family will have taken their leave
Preparations for Christmas were quite aweless
I shall enjoy the quiet of this Christmas Eve.

From where so a fault comes to call,
There from hint comes how to forestall:
Boils and blisters that burn,
Back by hot foments turn,
From ailment does its cure unroll.

Poet’s note: Sanskrit has thousands of verses of wisdom called Subhashhitam. The wisdom of this verse tells us that remedy arises from the melody. The transliteration of the Sanskrit verse follows:
