Best Finish Poems
Ladies you say, all the good guys have been taken
I am here to say, you're completely mistaken
A sensitive guy, let me introduce him
He is down to earth and his name is Tim
A sense of humor, a poet as well
Stay away from those guys, that treat you like hell
They say that good guys, always finish last
He'll keep going, when others are half mast
He'll open your doors, make you feel like a Queen
Others won't notice, But with him you'll be seen
So line up ladies, he could be your prize
His smile has sparkle, he has bedroom eyes
He wants forever, not just a one night stand
If you play your cards right, he'll ask for your hand
You can have honest, excitement as well
If you're the right woman, he'll succumb to love's spell
Dedicated to my friend Tim Smith, a true romantic.
As the might-have-beens get smaller
And the what-the-hecks get taller
Life gets sweeter.
What a beater,
Death looms, but ya wanna stall'er
A hatred toward myself
a longing for the feeling of the cold hearted
no emotion
no cares
no heartbreak
the unbelievable becomes real
a rejection burning so deep!
another night of these deadly thoughts
realizing the sad truth,
nothing I do can ever be enough
the cliché stands true…
Nice Guys finish last!
Start
At the toes of bright
Colored socks. Up the legs
Of inky blackness on up to the
Stomach a sea inside.
Out to the arm delicately scarred.
Up to the chest now
Stop.
Breathe, feel.
That evergoing thump.
Pressing on.
A heart. Go on feel,
Look you've got one too.
Gentle now, don't break it.
Stop.
Breathe, feel.
Up we go, up past the
Neck, the lips, nose, the eyes.
Now up to the head.
Stop.
Breathe, listen.
The roaring chatter of a single
Brain. Hopes, dreams, wishes.
Thoughts, ideas, feelings.
Yet none of it means,
Anything.
Not yet anyways.
Stop.
Breathe, feel, listen.
Finish.
Crossing The Finish Line
*
Some
people
want to what
it takes to get
there
*
* *
*
And
many
enter the
real race of
life
*
* *
*
And
trying
to make it
to the finish
line
*
* *
*
Well
many
enter but
never make it
there
*
* *
*
Win
or lose
as long as
they know they have
tried

Challenges
are future strides;
without self-confidence
not a thing will be accomplished:
greet dire!
I fought
to the finish
with a heavy heartbeat;
I got there by beating all odds:
proud me!
everyone want to be better
everyone want to be higher
all i wanted forever
a girl like her
everyone want the first place
everyone want to win the war
all i want is peace
and this girl to be warn
everyone want to be the best
everyone want get a reward
all i know is i'm not like the rest
but love a girl isn't hard
dedicate: to - amy - the girl i always wished
Roses are red,
violets are blue,
But I prefer a purple pansy
When I reminisce over you.
Roses are Red
Violets are blue
Sugar is lumpy
And so are you!
Roses are red
Violets are blue
Now that you're gone
My headaches are too!
It's all brand new so it's time for fears,
As long as you're with me you will see no tears,
Forever and ever to have and to hold,
Can't wait for the day to taste your heart of gold,
With an open mind and caring heart,
In hopes that we shall never part,
To hold you close and nevel let go,
For all my love to you I'll show,
Bonded by words we both can say,
Glad you could stay for more than a day,
Because in a relationship I need some trust,
Yet since I met you it seems impervious,
No second thoughts about the way I feel,
Always be around if you keep it real,
The road is long as well as hard,
If you want a real man let down your guard,
I'll step right in with crazy force,
Then I better let nature take it's course,
Never will I hurt you or make you cry,
Before that happens I'd rather die
Being who I am is such a task,
Nice guys always seem to finish last...
"I fought the good fight, finished my course and stayed true to my faith"
these are the last words that Paul the Apostle did convey
many pastors use this text when they preach a eulogy
but I think it's just as appropriate for every living body
this was Paul's epitaph and these words summed up his life's story
the last words that he uttered and with them he gave God all the glory
Paul told his son Timothy to continue to preach the Word
no matter how unwelcome nor inconvenient and no matter what he'd heard
with inexhaustible patience he charged Tim to proclaim the gospel of Christ
to partake in the Great Commission as a testiment to his life
you'll never know what you may say that might touch a tender soul
you'll never know if your words may make someone in Christ become more bold
in this world of iniquity, selfishness and greed
the gospel of Jesus the Christ is what mankind now desparately needs
we've forgotten the Word of God and think it's all about us
we think that we have more power than the Lord Christ Jesus
there's nothing wrong with self-empowerment but people need to perceive
that in spite of the choices and decisions they make they can't determine their own destiny
God is in control and He's the ultimate life force
God is in control and He's already set your life's course
one of the ministers in my church was involved in a serious car crash
broadsided by a cab and he said in a second his whole life did flash
pushed across a six laned highway and into a tree lined parking lot
and despite his car being totaled there was no shedding of a single blood drop
he and his wife walked away from that wreck completely unscathed
they were covered by the blood of Jesus and both of them were saved
to fight the good fight, to finish the course and keep the faith
these are the words to live by that every person should undertake
these were Paul's last words to his son Timothy
urging to for Christ keep claiming the victory
he asked that his life and death to be not in vain
and he wrote to all his friends and addressed them by name
he told them to fight the good fight, to keep the faith and in Christ stay the course
and remember that God's in charge and in control of your life force
Roses are red
violets are blue
diamonds are forever
but your love not true
Through trials and plans
through darkest hour
into troubles and
peaks of the joys we devour
Where all is not finished
until a life is complete:
friends tended, gardens mended,
homes built on unyielding stone
In the final days of a fading thought
in the obscurity of oldness grown
Where life is less than it could have been
and all that is left is you
In the end of all: Integrity
summed up not in how we began
in the midst of tribulation
Nor, what we did along the way
When walking into the darkest valley
and having stumbled on feet of clay
how will you finish?
I pray you finish well.
Roses are Red
Violets are Blue
My heart explodes
With the thought of you
