Adieu Fidel Castrol! Adieu Castro!
What a life, What an adventure!
The west with its sophisticated propaganda
could not kill you. In your prime they sought to
assassinate you, yet the world counted on you!
you were the evil they made us believed you were, yet Cuba had the best
Medical facility in Latin America, you saved Maradona, when the west
Could only but watch, patient Cubans reaped the benefit of socialism
they fed us lies upon lies, invaded Cuban and planted division among Cubans
yet you prevailed, the greatest Latin America Statesman of the 20 Century
Rest on Fidel, Dance on in your victory, sleep on sweet Castro
They labelled you a murderer, I call you a humanist,
Second only to Madiba of Africa!
Hugo Chavez is gone, Gaddafi is gone and gone now is Castro
Hamadinejad has been asleep since he exited the political scene
I dare say the world is getting boring! Vladimir Putin has challenged American hegemony to the best of his ability. May Mother Universe bless us with another soul who would teach how to endure and challenge oppression like you did Castro. Adieu Fidel, I bet the world will miss your statesmanship! Adieu. Love and tears reign as I send these words from Africa!

So you do know Fidel Castro? I think I do
that was the name of the mess boy, the one who
had to do the dirty dishes and clean floors
“Fy” as he was called was older than me and had
a much better education, and I, as his boss felt his
contempt being told what to do by an officer of
working class, roots. But I knew as everybody who
read knows, the little man is but a servant for
the rich, they need someone educated to tell them
what to do; In Venezuela, Fidel jumped ship he was
not missed and we got another mess-boy
who could not read or write because the wage he got
could support his family. The downside was I had
no one to argue with
Castro! the Diablo of Life succumbs to Death
Castro! the devil’s advocate
orchestrated hooligans,
and kept a destructive quest.
Turned a civil nation chaotic.
Death, destruction, and demoralizing tactics
fell tears through the land.
Millions of cries hit the skies over Cuba.
This a cry that would never stop
as even the dead keep crying
with endless shouts for mercy climbing to God .
Castro! the terrifying Diablo lassoed hate
into the children
and grew generations that altered a beautiful land.
A man with demonic eyes
squeezed the air out of the lungs of Cuba.
Without chains Cubans were in chains,
as he burnt their innocence,
and strangles those who oppose,
A fear drilled deep in the land.
Even the dead finds no rest.
Castro the Diablo of lives even in death.
You had a helluva ride
a bit on the stubborn side
‘course over here
our worst fear
is to surrender pride
So it was your day and yours alone.
Decades have gone by and you look just younger!
Fidel Castro my childhood leaning and adult fantasies.
I was elated to hear you're older because they say when,
you are older time goes twice as fast!
Yet you you seem over the hill with sweet music and melody!
My brother, my brow roared and stung with venom
because my pen itches to dance and the drum
was without its rhymes.
I had hung the rest on restless redeployment!
These past weeks of wailing and weep
On my return the waited avalanche of wishes
from the ever loving Renaissance.
Yet there seems no end to this love
birthed in plural and nurtured at Abule
Onigbagbo! Mr Castro Fidelis,
As your name implies, I wish you health
and timeless happiness!
