Best Feature Poems

**** Over Feature

It’s called a Blitz
It’s more like ****
**** on the feel of it
**** on those gone before
Before when readers were respected
Before some tortured verse unnecessarily
Unnecessarily complicated composition
Unnecessarily nurtures the arbitrary
Arbitrary in its construction
Arbitrary in direction
Direction Now there’s a laugh its
Direction is but aimless wandering
wandering here to sniff at lamppost
wandering there to check out other scents
Scents not sense the random aromas
Scents upon the wayward verse
Verse I scoff it’s more like adverse
Verse or obverse it is an insult
Insult to all who seek out poetry
Insult to the very masters
Masters little in way of imagery
Masters few if any devices
Devices which make a poem a poem
Devices poets helped develop
Develop then sweet assonance
Develop an onomatopoeic smash
Smash this form and all its sill repetitions
Smash and use for ammunition
Ammunition Yes wordy ordinance
Ammunition for the worthy form
Form a theme which is coherent
Form thoughts not lines blindly adherent
Adherent to aberrant mathematics
Adherent to last word second line
Line up line up for revolution
Line up against this monstrous construct
Construct of weary would-be wordsmith
Construct of an idle mind
Mind the child that is the poem
Mind your head on low-set bar
Bar this nonsense from your consciousness
Bar this form from any gathering
Gathering dust it should remain
Gathering no moss as it rolls its distance
Distance yourself from this word pretzel
Distance is its charming feature
Feature nothing which at our art chips
Feature not this confused bull
Bull…
Chips…

A misconception is the tale
That we should dread October's spell

It's time to wear your scary faces
For cloudy nights, and creepy spaces!

Mummies stretch by light of day
Ghouls in shadows want to play

Ghosts, behind the pillars, peek
They practice wailing, tune their shrieks

Spiders weave around the room
A wart-nosed witch will mend her broom

The cauldron cleaned with spit and shine
Prepared to hold a drink of slime

With tasty toads and wormy molds
It boils steamy brew that's bold

Graveyards readied, dark with gloom
Bats in belfries wait for doom

No need to dread the harvest moon
All Hallow's Eve is coming soon

They've all worked hard to be prepared
Join the party, IF YOU DARE!!

Next Year, In the Movie Titles, To Any Feature Film

Next year, in the movie titles, to any Feature Film,
It will be mandatory to state such an important factor,
" No animals were eaten, maimed or killed,
And there was no sexual harassment of any actor!"

Me Best Feature

What is my best physical feature,
I look in the mirror and all I see is a sea creature.

Is it me bald head I ask?
But when is see me face it looks like a week old rusk.
No

Uh! Me lips
No, no, they look like half chewed chips.

Mmmm! Could be… me eyes
Na! they look like sad mud pies

It’s got to be me lovely slim legs
Nope they sound like two swordsmen have a fight or like tent pegs

May be.. me height
I’ll asked me wife, “If it wasn’t for your body and your face you’d be alright.”

Well there it is me best feature
A sea creature

A Feature Please

Almost five years to this day.
One feature to speak of while others have tons what more can I say.
I know my words arent exactly always nice.
But life is a gamble so I always use loaded dice.

Sure im a bit of a outlaw but im really a nice well sometimes alright
guy.
I can drop the jokes the wild nights and the whiskey
well I think I can try.

Hey I can write poems that are wholesome they'll
be so sweet and boring.
I'll make a thousand comments on peoples work
never reading a single one i'll have everyone
on the soup snoring.

Yes just a simple feature like ya give most people
for just farting on a page.
I probaly seem bitter after five years im starting
to show some age.

I belive haileys comet is more visable than me .
But that's okay dear soup at my pace i'll probaly
get a feature again by the time im seventy three.

Whats wrong with making people laugh beats
making them fall asleep.
If ya pay ya get a feature every other month
really no secret to keep.

But hey I'll be big about it as im crying begging on two bad knee's.
Come on I'll be your best friend by ya a bottle of the
best just give me a dam feature please.

Black Cloud Feature

Lost black clouds skitter across the sky
ice backs
reach to connect
black clouds as the blow across my window
heavy rain for days now
lost black clouds blow black against my eyes
I close them
lost in summary
lost in allegory
just
lost

Canary Birds Are a Feature of Canary Islands

Canary birds are a feature of Canary Islands,
But in the Canary Islands, their is not so easy to found.
On the Virgin Islands are problems of similar kinds,
One can barely see any canaries flying around!

Best Safety Feature Found Around

Best Safety Feature Found Around

Went to have car annual safety inspection.
They had an NRA magazine there with
Trump on it. Looked through it and all
I saw was death and killing so I wrote
this Horn limerick.

Here is what I have to say about handgun;
Never think about owning or having one;
We are always afraid,
When they were made,
From time sun came up and day is done.

Every Curve Every Feature

My one true love,

The loveliest creature,

A pair of emerald eyes,

Blazing promised paradise,

Silken lips, full with fiery passion,

No more beautiful figure, could anyone ever fashion,

First saw her, on that Puerto Vallarta moonlit night,

Seeing first only beauty, then love by morning's light,

We laughed and loved that week on Aztec's ancient shore,

My Mexico goddess had filled this lonely heart completely to the core,

A wedding worthy of heaven we had that following year,

Held each other in sweet love's embrace,

Vowing forever with joy's lingering tear,

Three wonderful years each morning seeing her face,

Hoping for no end to this married bliss,

Then, kneeling shattered at her death bed,

Saying goodbye with one last kiss.

(In memory of Rebecca, I LOVE YOU, missing you so much!)

Being built from its foundation into tower scraping sky.
It can fly like no other bird to places never seen,
Even spaceships can only dream of taking its place."

Not Everyone Will Feature In Your Future

Not everyone will make it to your future,
some only come to give you some lecture.
Forget past parasites, they are gone;
forgive yourself, the deed has been done.
Apprectiate those who are with you today,
only the true friends will eventually stay.
Open your heart, the best is yet to come,
look at the skies, the future is awesome.
Some may lend a hand and later leave,
the faithful will come and forever cleave.
Your destiny is not tied to passers-by,
do not break down when fishes fly.
The fountain of joy flows within you,
explore it and expect no one to excite you.
Accept people for who they are for real,
and their flaws will never be a big deal.
Life is too short to be angry, hury and sad,
live to accept both the good and the bad.

Mars is such a long way off
Flying there could be quite tough
Let's set up intermediate stations
On each one take long vacations

If we ever get to Mars, then good
And if not ~ Well, that's Hollywood!

The Were-Lings' Ode

And then, this good morning, how happy and glad you will be, day by day, week by week, year by year!

Who has not seen the dawn?

Who has not held the joy of sunrise?

When it came on, what was it but as if some eternal light had given glory to the world, and as if the future was made glorious before we saw it?

The air seemed full of it, and my soul, not wholly in tune with the day, seemed a full box of sunshine.

All, just all, was so lovely that I felt that it would not have been justice to anyone to send a low, dull, oppressive day to him.

If this morning did not deserve my raptures, I wondered what could possibly deserve them.

There is nothing in the world that is so delightful.

How did it get like this?

It is in one way to have these good mornings: this morning, this morning!

And yet the world was not designed for them.

Its beauty is only of such a loveliness that we are stupid if we can look at it without seeing the future glory of it.

To have them in the wintertime, when life is just beginning to stir, is something too wonderful to be seen merely as a convenience.

In order that the golden beauty may be present, the following conditions must be in operation.

First, a bare, clear sky must be free of clouds.

The sky has no dignity for its beauty if the heavens are full of clouds.

Second, no wind.

No wind is there for the clouds to play in; the sky should be entirely calm.

Third, no fog.

A night - fog, or fog that comes up like clouds out of the low country, is ugly and unnatural.

Fourth, there must be a break between two of their souls.

To crawl upward to the thin crust of Earth.

Every today
	And
Every tonight
10,000 ways to
To capture each in
High gloss
Black & White

All in sequenced order
When touched turned into a
Moving motion picture
Framed in Technicolor

While I take my seat
At the border
Repeating the lines
That were mine
Now printed and cut
The best left on the
Editors floor

And still,
I come back for more
Another double feature
With my name framed
In the lights of the Marque

Had ability to speak like a teacher;

Giraffe

A sideways grin,
With spots up to your chin.

Fuzzy horns adorns
Your Velvet eyelashes,
And your eyes from within.

So friendly you seem,
With a smile that beams.

Your chin whiskers protrude,
Giving you a sassy attitude.
