Willows weeping
Wind whistling

It's all personification- but what if we switched them around:

Pages whistling
Thunder flying
Sun clapping
Hearts shining
Snowflakes breaking
Willows dancing
Wind weeping

Sounds like fantasyland- maybe that's where elves make toys, fairies fly, dwarves mine, trolls sing and dance, and gnomes do... whatever gnomes...
