Crimson-orange rays clawing the sky
And everything is at peace
Birds pacing towards their young
Wolves howling to the elegant moon
Down that wooden bridge
Across the black river
Further into the dense
And back to where I started
Follow the stars
The trail of magnificent light
Running, breathing quicker
Where to?
Stand under this tree
The feel of majestic spring
Sound of water-drops
Fragrance of blooming flowers
The crave to fly
With these new developed wings
The urge to sing
With a new melody in heart
Close your eyes
Listen, carefully... to the heart beat
Feel the flow of blood
Footsteps getting louder
There she is
Smiling, looking right at me
Glowing extravagantly
And then disappearing, at sundown
Here I am…
Following your stars again
The trail of light
And back to where I started…
Down that wooden bridge
Across the black river
Further into the dense
I will reach you, someday.

In a world where dreams are rakish and quixotic,
Where quiddity seems extravagantly chaotic,
A chivalrous soul dares to be different.
With a heart that beats fervently, so magnificent.
Romantic notions dance in their minds.
A visionary quintessence they find,
Chimerical dreams they hold dear,
Preposterous, dreadful tracks they fear.
Age is just a number, they say.
Irrelevant in the pellucid pursuit of their way,
Happiness is the sense that one matters,
And their dreams are the ladder.
In a world where opia destruction prevails,
Where chaos and despair often trail,
Quixotic evidence emerges, bold and bright.
Roguish scope for rebuilding shines a light.
Dare to alter the world, they proclaim.
With sapidity gnawing such a flame,
It may seem quixotic, and some may sneer.
But their seraphic vision is so clear.
For in their hearts, they sojourn the key.
In a world where dreams roam free,
Where impossibilities become realities
And it's in this world, they find their vitality.
There is no scarcity of opportunity.
To earn a living doing what they love, with glee,
Chasing in kuebiko without compromise.
For in their dreams, their spirit lies.
It erratically seems as if curbing entropy,
Is our quixotic goal in the cosmos, you foresee,
But in the midst of chaos, they stand tall.
With a determination that never stalls.
In a world where dreams are quixotic,
They refuse to be virtuosically robotic.
They believe in the anecdoche dreams.
And nothing, awry reality, dims their gleams.
They agnize that each sonder is just a number.
And that happiness is a monachopsis to remember.
They embrace the chivalrous and the romantic.
With an onism spirit that's truly ecstatic.

That Old Man once thought:
"Poetry is not viable..."
Who can eat poems
~~~~~~~~~
In our twilight years
Even time is suspended;
Marionettes know best
~~~~~~~~~
Love is a good excuse
When things go right;
Consider the alternatives
~~~~~~~~~
In my house
I live life brief;
Time excavates my soul
~~~~~~~~~
Haiku soapbox styles
Words in brief grief;
Soon I run away
~~~~~~~~~
Words do not tell
Of many things;
Forbidden and forgotten
~~~~~~~~
My darling calls
My name out loud;
Dreamtime outbursts
~~~~~~~~~
Horrifying nightmare
I struggle with despair;
Awake to gratitude
~~~~~~~~~
Lines loiter here
Linger with motives;
Pregnant envoi
~~~~~~~~~
Senryu sensations
Not much to say;
Pickle me fancy love
~~~~~~~~~
Words line up
Extravagantly economic;
Profit and loss
~~~~~~~~~
Now at last
Someone mimics a monkey;
Is it strange then
She's not one of the "most famous"in history.
She doesn't own titles nor a canvass in the wall.
She is a typical artist, you can see everyday.
Creating a piece of art that will be known forever.
Every morning she's up to prepare a meal.
Creating the best recipes for a family feast.
Giving everyone a smile before she's left.
Kiss and hug she always willing to give.
She's my favorite artist.
She's top among the rest.
She is the source of all strength.
She is the reason why we live.
With her hands, a manager was born.
An artist, a singer, a scientist,a superstar.
She turned out the greatest out of you .
She is the best painter of unique hues.
No one can compare to an art that she formed.
It is unique and extravagantly crafted.
She's a woman you owe your life with.
She's a MOTHER...my favorite artist.
All the eagles soar increasingly circular overhead my umbrella.
All the elephants thrash inconsolably tasting of trees umber.
All the earwigs buzz inexpressively surrounding oracles with uncertainty.
All the evil makes illness triumphant over the unclean.
All these expressions say ignore details obey the unusual.
Animals like everyone have inelegant needs overcome by uptrends
all may embrace but illusions may overturn their usefulness
and we extravagantly take impressionable judgments opting for unawareness.
Fatherhood holds great pivotal power:
To lift or let down, bringing laughter or frowns.
Your words have potency, proven by deeds.
Do what you promise and plant for renown.
Be the hero, the parent your children need.
Be more than you dreamed that a father could be.
Be a fulcrum of joy, praise extravagantly!
Fatherhood bears a life-changing might:
To give worth or debase, esteem or erase.
Your words are harpoons, or pillows of grace.
Listen intently, be still, SEE their face.
Be the dad that your children love to embrace.
Be more than you dreamed that a father could be.
Be a fulcrum of grace, give extravagantly!
Fatherhood sets generational ties:
To move up or down, the family tides.
Your words are their seeds of self-worth or shame.
Invest your best to build grooms and brides.
Be the man that shows them the worth of your name.
Be more than you dreamed that a father could be.
Be a fulcrum of life, love extravagantly!
Houses aren't homes unless they are full
of love in tremendous amount.
Mothers are usually the heart of the home
expressing their love extravagantly.
Such homes are not easily forgotten,
when the time comes to make your own home.
Each child takes his or her happy memories
easily along wherever the trail leads.
Traveling is easy with love and happiness.
How lucky I, that my childhood home
of love and contentment had plenty.
My mother and father had no trouble at all
expressing love to my siblings and me.
Nigeria is on the precipice
A country in dire need of redemption
Blessed extravagantly by providence
But ravaged ignorantly by
Leadership failure
Built on faulty foundation of
Impunity, corruption and nepotism
Which has engendered overtime
Inequality of crass proportion
As insignificant few
Swim in obscene opulence
While embarrassingly majority
Wallow in criminal poverty
Arise you men of good will
Silence is no longer golden
Arise wrestle our country back
From the spirit of live and let die
Arise my compatriots to the clarion call
To rescue God’s masterpiece
From total annihilation
Stand up and be counted
Together let us overcome
Africa my continent
I remember you today as always
The cradle of civilization
The land of great and revered warriors
Endowed extravagantly with all God’s natural resources
Africa my continent
The land of great promise
Africa of Achebe’s Things fall Apart, I salute you.
Rise up and take your destiny in your own hands
The abundance of wealth in your bowels
Should be a blessing to your poverty-stricken children
Africa you must stop disappointing God
Africa my continent
It is time to purge your off-springs of notorious acronyms
Which have become their lot
The poverty capital of the world
The corruption infested countries
The third world countries
The least developed countries
Developing countries
-hole countries
Emerging economies
Underdeveloped countries
Arise Africa and shine for your star has risen!
X marks the spot
Where a young child had stood,
Enjoying his friends company as only
A young child could.
X marks the spot
Where the child laid dying,
Medics there to save his life,
Desperately trying.
X marks the spot,
From which the crowd were kept,
The child’s mother who broke through
And uncontrollably wept.
X marks the spot
Where the ambulance came
The police taking measurements
Photographing the stain.
X marks the spot
Where the piles of flowers were left,
Where the moving tributes were made
From those now bereft.
X marks the spot
Where the funeral procession slowed
Where a community’s grief
In rivers now flowed.
X marks the spot
Where the young child was struck
By a man on a mobile
In charge of a truck.
X marks the spot
Where a quick call was made
The cost of this phone call,
Extravagantly paid.
Hands holding champagne
Allowing all wishes to sparkle
People dancing under Mylar balloons
Pop corn with sweet caramel
Yankees caps with silver trim
Nobody dislikes silly buffoons
Everyone can be one of them
With the New Year's party colorful hats
Yell and be extravagantly festive
Ears deafened by loud music
America celebrates in Times Square
Rome calls for peace everywhere
I recall the rural life of the butterfly
Extravagantly —that proud floating mass of wings.
Her wings flutter from sea to coast so eloquently,
Yet silent with the muteness of frightened breeze.
They are banners with buntings of newness — striped,
Spotted, arched, dotted.
Her flamboyant life history, reading it backwards,
Is an exhibition of time and cosseted patience....
The winged one, aged and tried, schleps to the stirs of a narcoleptic pupa,
Hanging on the banisters of a dear larva who's egged on to
Run the full circle and announce the mating time and a most
Fragile conception.
Portrait: It Is She Who Triumphed- Part II
===================
(Continued from Paqrt I)
Beauty was pronounced expressively through her splendid silence
And slowly, she climbed the darkness walls
Up to the heart of the sky
Proclaiming the power of her light
With a glistening silvery face;
I feared the attack of a fierce predator upon her,
But the crowd of black phantoms went into deep silence.
!With closed eyes pretending to sleep or hide
Gloating over their misfortune, I gazed at them,
And exclaimed:
“As if you don’t see her!
This wonderful, untouchable,
Dazzling beauty manifests herself over the horizon
She is rising above your dark and gloomy trees,
Disdaining the charred twigs of your houses,
Looking at me through the holy book of her heavens
Wth a smiling countenance,
Rising steadily and rapidly,
Extending her neck from darkness to life
And from lifelessness to birth;
She is silent with poise,
Uttering music,
Aflame in longing,
Passionate like lovers,
Overtly captivating,
Extravagantly generous
And inundating.
How amazing are your tragic pleasures, Oh life!
Woe to those who fancy you,
And woe to those who don’t!
Oh! How often you invited me to come to you,
From behind the walls
of water haze of early morns
When morning birds begin their songs
But here I am now
Receiving a cascade of light
From a moon, as well surprised;
That’s all in spite of the horizon,
With black, heavily-armed
Phantoms!
