handsome boss with exceptional style
asks lady assistant with a sweet smile
to switch on a computer on her table
as the boss sits near by she becomes unstable
oh! sweet mistake happens so needs to refile

You seem smart, you look special,
You are unique, you are beautiful!
For the first time I am impressed,
For the first time I got influenced.
I could conceal my affection
When you left for a new destination,
But not the void you occupied.
Oh boy! I wish you realized!
I enjoyed each moment together;
Sharing problems, aiding one another,
Staring at your smiles rich in vivacity.
A clear sign was all I fancy.
I am writing this rhyme,
With a tear doping on each line,
For the first time, I cried,
For the first time, I'm relieved.
From the radiance of the thought
Through the deep veins of the heart,
I grant you my honest composition
As an enduring story of my affection.

Alliteration
Take 1:
Too much beauty is a problem,
So the pretty women say,
Many women can be threatened,
Mood swings like a pendulum
Never trusting in ‘fair play.’
So it hurts when they dismiss you
Best to not give you a chance,
You might try to steal their boyfriends,
Smugly now your faults imbue
Though you’ve stolen not one dance.
Competition can be fierce then,
Few believe these days in fate,
Their self-confidence can vanish,
No faith too in gentle men,
If the guy once shows up late.
Come on lassies, what’s your hurry,
Shouldn’t love be ‘laissez-faire?’
Ditching friends for men so slimy,
Dressed up in your finery?
Is your love so ‘ordinaire?’
Take 2:
Being smart too is a problem,
Life itself not hard enough,
Toughs that ambush after schools out,
There’s a gift in being dumb!
You think calculus is rough?
All young people want to fit in,
Live with hearts out on their sleeve,
Smart kids really do no better,
Though you’d think that they might win,
Teenage angst yields no reprieve.
Still my brain saved me from football,
Grinding work for adult thrills,
Qualified for cannon fodder,
Young boys think they have it all,
Girls and glory, mindless drills.
But the youth who show brain merit,
Though rewards are slow to come,
Find they bypass many hazards,
Foolish plans elaborate:
Author's now of their outcome.
Take 3:
Having bread is a conundrum,
Still ‘death,’ you win on a bet,
Jealousy makes you a pit bull,
Lost decorum stained your bum,
Reputation? Just forget!
Dreams of poor men are a half-truth,
Fueled by their desires unmet,
Riches, splendor all they think of,
‘Clark Kents’ enters glass phone booth,
Men inside still curse kismet.
People! Rich! That live in prisons,
That’s what our world has come to,
Iron fences blocking access,
Wealthy hold they’re denizens,
Why do they seem like they’re blue?
How did our world fall to misfits,
I’m a have, but you have not,
All one needs is just one bullet,
Don’t you think this is the pits?
Murderer lives on your lot.

Their baby girl turned out exceptional
Their baby girl is very exceptional
Her script perfect
She always had a book in her hand
Reading every spare minute
With a sponge like focus
At craft fairs, for example
She would hide under the table and read
At funeral services and church
She always brought a book
She would always read, read
For her birthday she wanted every episode
Of Criminal Minds, she never wanted toys
A book, or something stimulating her mind
To her was gold
She would also multitask her art
Oils and knitting, all self taught and really good
With her schoolwork
And sports
Swimming, karate and water polo
She was the very best at what she did
All through her schooling
Every single day
Every single day
She never received a grade less than an A
She was class valedictorian
She was phenomenal,
A swan that was always a swan
And recently she completed her first semester
At nursing school with a continued perfect record
Of all A's, all advanced courses
To me this is amazing
If I'm beaming the answer is yes
I spoke with, or should I say joked with the ex
Whose genes did she inherent? Whose?
Because It's neither of us
We laughed, one of the few times we did
I once wrote to my baby girl
Nineteen now, yet she's still my baby
I wrote to her a beautiful poem
About a blossoming rose
Growing to new heights, so elegant and beautiful
Nurtured, loved and cultivated
And she wrote back ... wherever they put me
In life, emphasizing they, I'll blossom that's my promise
I read her response over and over
In my mind, shedding tears
At her conviction, strong
I got to thinking ...
Her being uprooted earlier on in life
Watching her parents divorce, being hurt as a child
Having fears
Spurted her growth, ambition and drive
In my eyes it did
Affecting her in a way that she carried
A chip on her shoulder wanting to be the best
Proving her parents made a mistake in abandoning her
Just this past holidays, I can see a huge transformation in her
It's really noticeable, unrecognizable
She's matured faster than I wanted
Maybe she's dating, dipping her wet feet
But I see something different
I don't know what it is
She's not my baby anymore

Bio
You knew how to coax out a smile,
I never had a better friend than you.
The times I'd ignore you, you'd shy away:
and yet, stuck by me, when I acted crazy.
When I got sick, you wouldn't leave me
until you were sure I was okay.
And you were happy sharing my happiness,
feeling you are family.
I let you into my heart where few have been,
and have never regretted that.
But the time has come for me to say goodbye:
you were an exceptional friend.
And I know, if there is such a thing as a doggy heaven:
you're undoubtedly already there.

She's beautiful
She’s young
She’s smart
She’s experienced
She’s spiritual
She’s loving
She’s caring
She’s brave
She’s exceptional
But, she suffers
She suffers physically
Sharp knee pains,
Headaches,
Bone aches.
All in which are trying to get the best of her
Trying to weaken her
Trying to take over her body.
But she won’t allow it
She’s strong
She’s faithful
She has her prayers stored up
She’s exceptional
She knows that God can do anything
He can even take away the pain she has in her body
He can heal her.
She’s already healed
She’s healed in the eyesight of God
She’s exceptional
She’s my Mother.

Sweet smells ride every summer breeze
where roses and carnations bloom.
Attracting swarms of honey bees,
sweet smells ride every summer breeze
Rich fragrances blended to please,
it's an exceptional perfume.
Sweet smells ride every summer breeze
where roses and carnations bloom.
It's an exceptional perfume
that cannot be duplicated.
Yet, the ladies likely presume
it's an exceptional perfume.
Subtle aromas fill the room
and everyone is elated.
It's an exceptional perfume
that cannot be duplicated.

Integrity, his middle name
'Tops' was his trademark
Scrupulous in all he did
'Exceptional,' his benchmark
Low maintenance for every boss he'd had
Beloved of his Mom and Dad
When he married the girl next door
They cut a rug on the banquet floor...
Two years later, their marriage shattered
His wife's emotions lay in tatters
All she'd wanted was affection ~
All he demanded was perfection

An exceptional moment may turn out to be
A memory one will carry through the years,
Or, perhaps, a beacon in the darkest of times
When a tiny ray of sunshine one needs to see.

** Devotion Poem - LESSONS ABOUT PRAISE **
Written for our holy Abba
From beneath an exalting sky,
Beneath the dancing clouds,
We gasp,
Stunned!
Awed!
Surrounded — with every glance —
By this incomparable Autumn!
Yellows aburst by the sun’s full
Range of reds in bushes on up
To the heights of the fiery
Crowns of trees,
Fronting the proud, straight, giant,
Verdant evergreens
Pointing their arrow-tip peaks
Heavenward,
.
Beyond mere Beauty!
— This Autumn —
As Seeing becomes Feeling,
We gasp
Turning each corner
Moved again
By splendor beyond our ken…
To gasp again…
It seems that all the starlights
Our loving thoughts have gazed
Upon since Genesis
Have come to grace our
Leaving, passing days with
The vast galaxy of colors to be found
In prayers.
Mother Nature, perhaps, in part,
Presents
To us this exceptional, memorable
Autumn
Of trees singing out their mysteries
To draw us
By glorious SIGHT to learn
How
souls in Praising God
FEEL —
Gasps in Awe
Around every corner…
Would that God find our souls thus, so
Resplendent,
Resonating…
In rapt
Refrains of Praise!

Epigram
Exceptional times require exceptional measures
In our everyday lives we experience this truth
Times of stress, or, in rare incidence for pleasures
A challenge from our peers sparking curiosity,
Provoking us to engage in the most insane ruse
Wisdom shows itself in most annoying paucity
Comes the time when we eschew such rashness
But, in youth, almost every adventure is novel,
So, we entertain ourselves in unabating brashness
And exceptional times are replaced by maturity
Having experienced almost everything before
Comes the time when exceptional measures bore.

Memorable was this holidaying session
Memorable indeed for it was when I went through some transformation
From a mere human being
I became one so damning
Yes, it was on a trip to the Asian countries
I was seventeen at that time, full of romantic worries
A real escape it was
To see, from a new land, stars
Watching the night sky all alone
To a vampire's will, was I so prone
He was a handsome boy, looking so young
But it did hurt, when my neck he stung
I cried out in pain, fell onto the ground
Woke up a while later, in a dazed astound
Yes, the guy was gone
But I knew it then, that I now had a heart of stone
I was well cared for, made to stay indoors for some time
Soon came the day to leave the vacation land
Why, everyone did think that I was human
For I still did look same
But since then, I am but a creature of the night
I can fly, kill and give the devil himself a great fright
I shall live as my fate shall will me to
For someday, I believe the end shall have to come see me through!

Exceptional times call for exceptional measures
Going the extra mile, reveling in fine pleasures,
Seeking out the good things that enrich our lives
Often means going through some dusty archives,
Living and loving and, indeed, sometimes longing
Wherever we’re planted, let’s feel like belonging,
Making the most of whatever time fate allows us
Getting our notice without making much fuss,
Every individual must chart the course of their life
To spend it rather mirthfully, or, promoting strife,
In any case, of one thing we can be most assured
Whatever causes us pain will one day be cured.

leaps to her owners side as he’s reading
She adores Jane Austin
In her books she gets lost in
And won’t budge ‘till it’s time for her feeding
