Living In Exceptional Times

Exceptional times call for exceptional measures
Going the extra mile, reveling in fine pleasures,

Seeking out the good things that enrich our lives
Often means going through some dusty archives,

Living and loving and, indeed, sometimes longing
Wherever we’re planted, let’s feel like belonging,

Making the most of whatever time fate allows us
Getting our notice without making much fuss,

Every individual must chart the course of their life
To spend it rather mirthfully, or, promoting strife,

In any case, of one thing we can be most assured
Whatever causes us pain will one day be cured.

"Wherever we’re planted, let’s feel like belonging," This is ultra-important! Ultra-IMPORTANT!

I think so. We have a reason for being, and a reason for being where we are! I think I'll post this as an epigram.

It's always worth going that extra mile and making the most of every day that we have left. Tom

That's what I believe, Tom. We need to be optimistic...but realistic...and make the most of every moment we have!
