Classical infusion Beethoven’s “ode to joy”
Playing on blaring audiophile speakers annoy
Purposely looped to destroy vagrants with electronic music
Blends of subversive elements and anxious acoustic
Solution to loitering the bodega doo dropping
Spicy Shiitake broth smelling pissy store front,
Jaded daily stunt, at midnight wino corks popping
Abruptly segwaying into a film from one music scene to
a melting hallway, a lipstick alley with animate occupants
Disconnected unmoored, appearing eerie and dormant
Fluorescent lights unleashing a hum buzz in duress
Hissing sizzling hornets’ nest of unsettling unrest
Levels of unease, an iniquitous den
Such madcap absurdity is beyond my ken
Not a shack, mall, nor a Holiday Inn
A queasy Quasi-Moto mood which lies within
Backrooms filled in with discarded filets of fishy maceral
that have no place,
Frolicking pixella’s in a glossy abyss of liminal space
Plump puce brushed lips affixed
Swollen browns and purple mixed
Deep maroon and dusky rose, make-up art is what they pose

I wish I may I wish away what is unreal with blinky eyes
I pray not to awaken one more inky surreal surprise

Crescent shaped moon portions mounted in pseudo walls
Mounted upon the glare in unpleasing patterned halls
Side by side quagmired half discs dawning a contorted face
In a half dazed-half-moon crest loon’s invisible phase
Not unconscious but in some in-between state
Bored while in transition and abandoned as they await
Whimsical moldings who see me try NOT to take a peek
An exit to this madness is what I and they seek
Maybe re-evaluate my sleep number, for gravity defying rest
What insight imports this encounter and what test?
What it means for a doomed generation Xer or a baby boomer,
tacked in stucco, Silly Putty it seems, in a warped sense of humor

I wish I may I wish away what is unreal with blinky eyes
I pray not to awaken one more inky surreal surprise

Are We In Love?

There are things that I'm going through that no one knows of

But it’s written on the walls of Egypt

I gotta read your phrases like 10 times and I'm not checkin for grammatical
rhymes

I'm adding up the I love you’s and I wish you were mine’s

I'm trying to keep my eyes from watering because you make me want to erase
love and start over again

You make me want to re-evaluate the one that I'm with and flip the script

And see if I love me as much as you do

Boy let me tell you.

I love you

There have been days I wanted to call and say just that

But I know there would be more to the story

I couldn’t just tell how much I adore thee

I couldn’t just say it and think that would be it

I know that would be the moment that could make your heart say o’shiit

I need to make this move

Even though I'm with another dude,

I love you

Aint the type to break up happy homes

Especially since both of us are trying to prove them wrong

 I don’t want to make a mistake

I don’t want to be the one to walk away from all I know

To fall into the abyss of mystery

Cause I only know you as a friend you see

Yes it flatters me that your thoughts are tattoos beneath my left breast

Yet I can’t get to that yet

I'm still stuck with your reflection as my shadow in the vanity

I'm still forced to deal with the fact that you may truly love me

Why did I wake up this morning and come to work

Sitting in my office with a hell of a smirk

I can’t even front…

I been goin’ through some shiit and I wanted tell you

But I can’t because there is only so much you can do

You may be my guardian angel

But it’s gonna take a helluva Monarch to get me through

And trust me I'm not saying you’re not capable

Let me stop there

We parallel on a plane headed for eternity

I'm the money you are the security

What more do we need to add to this recipe?

O yeah…I guess that would be…u and me.

Worship Through the Storm

If I could only maneuver about
Or manipulate this stone
Then perhaps, by chance
I'd loosen the grout
This mountain, I would hone

Maybe I could toggle a bit
Molding my world of clay
Evaluate and calculate
Every inch of every day

If luck would have it
I'd be dealt a pleasing hand
If smart enough to grab it
I could answer the game's demands

But experience whispers
Reminders from the past
Struck down by spurs
Unfinished tasks

Just a thought that I've been thinking
An idea I've bounced around
Proceeding ideas that resulted in sinking
Inevitably we all will drown

So I become quiet, calm and still
The evil voices subside
I fall to my knees, before God, I kneel
Surrendering worldly pride

I hear a verse, I've heard before
It lingers and rolls off my tongue
I can do all things through Christ
Once I open the door
I recall the cross where he hung

My charred motivation begins to spark
Before long, my fire, restored
For that moment my vision is razor sharp
It belongs to me once more

I know that there will come a season
Floods of frustration will take my breath again
A chill of doubt will leave me freezing
If I am quite enough, I'll hear God's voice through the wind

Feelings

“ Heads down, Begin your test, If you don’t understand just raise your hand.
Continue to listen, percentage is given.

Black or blue all this is true, no matter what I had, I want you. Take your time to read and evaluate every situation or distractions as they come and you will start to see what your smile and laugh really does to someone.
Thick or thin you are the most addicting thing,
Kiss or cuddle your my type of trouble,
close or far I have never fell this hard. Distance to time apart I’ll always give you my other half.
draft copys can always get rewritten but never could these butterflies or feelings.

Attempting to elevate lifes being
A different class a different seeing
Activate the actions for a cause
Achieve the greatness with little loss
Elevate to that respectable class
Amputate that feeling of last
Emmatate the greatness of before
Evaluate the keeping of score
Escalate to that certain floor
Discover the summit behind the door
That was locked because of poor
And when you find your mission completed
Remain humble and not conceded
Remember the sweat and that which was bleeding
And then thank God in your succeeding
Believe in yourself then start conceiving
But everything first begins with believing

Tick-Tock

You can’t mimic the resurrection
With your astral projection,
Self-fulfilled satisfaction,
Then, wonder why there’s no reaction.
Pride comes before a fall,
Whether you decide to answer his call.
Clarity can only be found,
When you choose not to be bound.
The clock is ticking and it’s the third day,
It is time to evaluate all of your ways,
Look around and smell the season,
All this chaos has a reason.
Blessed are those who walk the narrow
And don’t surrender to their pharaoh.
Enlightenment only comes from truth
The wise find it in their youth.
Simplicity has become complicated,
The paranormal is overrated.
The answers are all at hand,
Only the humble will understand.

A Reflection On Community Recovery

We were strangers when first we met,
One affected by disaster, the other there to help
And for a short while our paths were set.

We started the journey as a guide and one lost
As you struggled to find the power within yourself,
To rebuild your life and evaluate the cost
I saw your tears and felt your pain,
And connected with compassion, to the sadness in your heart
Now I feel very privileged to witness you smile again.

As together we walked on the road to recovery
You shared your story, your fears and your loss
And along the way we made an important discovery
We are all united in our love and our need
To feel connected to family, friends and community
Re-building together is powerful, indeed

You thank me as our ways part
Yet I come away feel truly blessed to have journeyed with you
For you are one of many who has enriched my heart.

The Ballot Is Stronger Than a Bullet

The ballot is stronger than a "bullet"
People pik their voter's cards from their "wallets"
They vote for a candidate, they want to "elect"
It's the LORD's decision who to "elevate"
Unity,oneness,in this country,lets "motivate"
Hate speech,let's all "eject"
Evil influencies, we people "reject"
Between two contenders, we voters "evaluate"
The best brains, with "big dreams",good morals",
we "select"
The bullet kills, the ballot does "seperate"
Where we lose, let's conceade, it's never too "late"

Child Abuse-----Deserving of Hatred

Child abuse is more than bruises,
While physical abuse is shocking
Due to the scars it leaves,
Not all child abuse is as obvious.
Ignoring children's needs,
Putting them in unsupervised,
Dangerous situations, or
Making a child feel worthless, or
Stupid are also child abuse.
Regardless of the type of child abuse,
The result is serious emotional harm.
Physical abuse is just one type of child abuse.

Neglect and emotional abuse
Can be just as damaging and
Since they are more subtle,
Others are less likely to intervene.
While its easy to say that only
Bad people abuse their children.
Its not always so black and white and
Doesn't only happen in poor families or,
Bad neighborhoods.
It crosses all racial, economic and cultural lines.
Sometimes, families who seem to have it all
From the outside are hiding a different story
Behind closed doors.
While abuse by strangers does happen,
Most abusers are family members or
Others close to the family.
Child sexual abuse a hidden type of abuse.
The use of praise or rewards doesn't
Make children feel supported.
It makes them feel evaluated and judged.
In particular when praise is a technique,
We have learned from a book or a seminar,
It's likely to come across as false and contrived.
Praise and rewards, like flattery,
Can stink of our efforts to control
And lose our child's respect.
Focus the child on his/her own pleasure at achieving.
Help him/her to self-evaluate.
Children are born with an enormous desire to learn.

You try to make sense of what happened
But it’s always the same
Bad news hits hard
The cruelest part
Is the lingering doubt
That things could have been different.

In your heart
You know that
You need to hold on
You’re running out of time
Like a drunken sailor
Lurching
From one disaster after another
None of your own making.

Alone, at night your imagination is on overdrive
Nerves stretched tight
Restless
You want to do something
But there is nothing to do
You evaluate your life
The first thought
Is outright denial
Of what has happened
Followed by anger
Regret
Then an uneasy acceptance.

Life, which so often disappoints
Could have been better
Perhaps if you worked harder
Or studied longer
It might have been different
You have fallen down so many times
On the long road of longevity
That you smile
At your own stupidity
Reasoning
That it could have been worse
Or it could have been much, much better
But who is to say?

You survived
Wind
Rain
And storms
Life was not perfect
It was what it was
As you face the winding roads
It gets a little easier
The rough parts are behind you
Your life has already taken shape
And you could not call any of it back
From your life of long ago
Or sense how badly you missed the days
When you were young.

Truth

Living in a world where poverty exist,
My way of living will put you in a mental twist!
In and out of correctional facilities,
Cant seem to deal with life's difficulties!
I've been placed in isolation many times,
That was my punishment for committing crimes!
When will I grow up and finally learn,
That we live in a life where there's nowhere else to turn!
We have to stand up and make a change,
Live life without having so much rage!
So I have to sit here and evaluate my contribution to my community,
Be of service to my fellows with humility!

A Meaningful Desire

A MEANINGFUL DESIRE

Human nature is never satisfied
temporal fulfilments we evaluate and try
these things may serve their use
inexhaustible riches we so oft’ confuse

 generous gifts are open-handedly bestowed
our appetites are whetted—seldom slowed
contentment remains an elusive pleasure
stubbornly we pursue all earthly treasure

our fun-filled ,self-styled life—insane
wearily penetrating absurdities of life—inane
negating souls try unearth significance –require
eternal cravings provide--solitary meaningful desire

Spaceship (Acrostic With Rhyme)

Spend your hard-earned cash on fuel for takeoff.
Pray that the government does not find out until gone.
Allow your free time for checking weather, not golf.
Case the local food store for dry goods you can con.
Evaluate your water supply needs, no water in cosmos.
Secure a safe place for waste, body waste floats to easy.
Have welding knowledge, so your stored rocket is close.
Internet may bring suspicion making government queasy.
Plan to go up straight in the air, horizontal rockets scare.
