Best Endeavor Poems
There is a phrase of words be praised
I’ve heard somewhere before;
Down amongst the dirt and weeds
Of things we most deplore.
Which rob us of our rightful place
In the shade of dignity and warm sun:
“Forever to endeavor,
Persevere and overcome.”
It might have been a movie scene
With Clint Eastwood as I recall
Listening to a displaced Indian
Recant their final fall.
Dispensing with philosophy
Of a life lived on the run:
“Forever to endeavor, he said,
Persevere and overcome.”
Or perhaps another book I’ve read
Or a whisper in the wind;
Those words imbedded deep inside
My memory, like good friends.
Down in the brain beyond the strain
Of races lost and won:
“Forever to endeavor, they say,
Persevere and overcome.”
All the slings and arrows
Once released upon us all;
Sorrow and deceit caused by liars and cheats
While struggling over mountains wide and tall.
Bringing occasional relief but more often defeat
As if trapped inside a spider web well spun:
“Forever to endeavor, they say,
Persevere and overcome.”
they have what it takes
like sunset colors on blue
strength guts and virtue
like the orange sun
they are natural leaders
in red robin days
like rainbow colors
they have that extra something
in triumph or loss
When fear heals by a heavenly light,
It casts a halo over the soul.
The darkness slips from sight,
This was difficult for you to control.
The incredible beauty of your inner fight,
Aside from your enlightened role.
When fear takes root, it brings twilight,
This quandary has a multifaceted goal.
With concepts that never come to light,
Wrap carefully around the succulent skull.
Yet, as things avow root, the effect is slight,
You realize that you have been cool.
You were driven by a gloomy blight,
The direction was down to the dead-end cruel.
You knew that this was light,
You did not care, since you are so right.
It would only lead you to your soul,
We are limited to air-only flights.
This created another circular scroll,
Don't speak until the end of the highlight.
You have filled out this parole,
You are prepared to confront the blight.
Your stiff shell is melted by the soul,
Love's tears heal you while you fight.

Why must life be such a complex endeavor
Always pressing in upon the seeking heart
Making every day a hard-earned victory, or
A resounding defeat, an open or closed door?
It is the middle ground we seek, the placidity
Smooth flowing pleasures that bring us joy
Calmness prevailing in times of bitter feast
Words which deliver us to peace and serenity.
At the end of every day being able to speak
Of the day gone as time well-spent, well-lived,
Words of gratitude merited by a good deed
Humility earned, not seen a sign of the weak
Expecting the best of everyone around us
The simple life embracing morality we seek.

It was many years ago,
while looking for lasting love,
initially I came to know
a woman with radiant glow
that ignited the stars above.
Right from the very start
I knew it was forever.
She ransomed my lonely heart,
and never we’d be apart;
it was love’s life endeavor.

His alarm failed, so no time to be pedantic
He still tried in his haste to be romantic
He had to hurry he was late
And in such an absent state
He slammed his wife and kissed the door, when frantic!
Why should your poetic voice be violent?
If you can’t sing a sweet song… be silent.
Respect is reciprocal,
It’s sweet to be social,
Poets should endeavor to be emollient!
Look outward. Look beyond.
For today there are needs.
Peer left and spy right
for the needful of deeds.
One hungers. One thirsts.
One yearns to be warm.
To seek out a shelter
from the thundering storm.
Some long for the knowledge.
Some wish to be led.
away from all danger,
all nourished and fed.
The needs are all there.
The poor are forever.
So strive to look outward,
Discover. Endeavor.
People believe:
To change something forever,
It always starts with the Man in The Mirror.
On this Earth, long we have all been,
both aged and teen,
And I believe of all our goals,
The most important should be to ennoble our souls.
For without guilt, we use our world as a fence,
And show it our assumption of reverence,
But what makes the difference,
Is our rigid preference.
Now to save the world from the end of its tether,
The masses of millions must come together.
Because even though we claim it as the Mother of all,
We, each, look to erase it from History’s scroll.
For while we cut trees and burn fuel here,
The Earth blinds back tear after tear.
To respect this fact:
To give our evils a strong border,
I believe an endeavour to heal the world, is in order.
And to give the healing process a direction,
I suggest a bit of introspection,
This way, every man, woman and child,
Would, on “Mother” Earth, stop being so wild.
Long enough has been postponed a juncture,
Where we think about the future.
For why should the Earth, on us, show pity,
When, to save it, are ready, neither foolish nor witty?
So let us leave a little behind for our kith and kin,
And deprive ego of its biggest win.
For only those are believed human,
Who live and let live. :) :)
Should Always Endeavor
Live on native soil which I would not spoil
And under it are resources of ore and oil
Improve environment should always endeavor
With vigilant ideas that are very clever.
Should enjoy doing exercise which is isometric
And drive around in cars which will be electric
From extra carbs and excess calories must restrain
Be qualified so you can drive in the fast lane.
These are a more of my many ideas of mine
Meanwhile, other poems I will try to design
Which will make all of our lives complete
And perhaps soon someday we all may meet.

PS. It is not so very sweet being
beat by some Belgium chocolate.
Eyes untangles the twining nodes of your blouse
Exposing nectar factories that taunt naughty minds
As their mouths leak the righteous nudity of their oblongata
Their hands stay restless while their nostrils sniff your underwear
Pseudopodia protrudes between your two legs
As rain shadows form behind your eyes
With each and every pulse
Silent cries of pain follows
While their hearts jeers with excitement
And their bodies shriek and wriggle
To the sweetness of your pain
To one by one destruction comes
As their pseudopods are dipped Into the volcanoes of cold fire
Because they understood not what wisdom meant
When she mentioned that a tree falls only to where it leans
Because HIV now cheers in their veins
AIDS is real guys-be careful where you lean
I know what I have to do, I know what I have to say,
one final endeavor because my life is in such disarray.
Wanting you to know that being apart from you, I am not myself,
nothing else in this world can make me happy, not even endless wealth.
Can't think straight or be receptive,
doubt and fear make my depressive hallucinations deceptive.
I know I have not made promises to you because I was scared to break them,
and when I felt that I did, I felt condemned.
Living in such misery from the mistakes that I've acknowledged and been made
aware of,
I'm ready to offer you for all eternity, the olive branch bearing dove.
Making a promise to love you forever till the end of my days,
so much love it will shock you, you'll feel like you're in a haze.
To let you live your life with me together and not feel fear,
and that the things that we once shared you'll again hold dear.
To uphold the marital vows that I've destroyed,
that each moment from this day on can be enjoyed.
To raise our daughter together and not just alone,
and give her the love she desires from a father and not a piece of stone.
For you to have the peace of mind in every word that you've spoken to me,
that they will not come back to haunt you when we disagree.
And be there for you in your times of trouble and dismay,
please endorse my plea to you, so that our hearts no longer can be slain.

Absorbed in my meditated communications, all sorted out beyond my close reach,
and there you walk, right into my mind, fighting for me....please stay forever...
-and propel my relinquished endeavor...
Reflections of when our eyes met, instant release of any chains held back
from our separate disputed reservations,
as the days come and the nights go...please stay forever...
-and propel my relinquished endeavor..
I close my eyes and ponder on last night's kiss, sweet surrender
to all our old negative qualities we held so deep, when we love just right, as we did last night and I pray you stay forever...
-and propel my relinquished endeavor...
....together, with distinguished desire....

Both sides I gazed,
My work is done,
Yet No heart appreciates.
A youthful dream is an old man's endeavor
Fading weaking health and wellness
an old man's youthful body full of vigor it dreams.
