Best Emitting Poems
In all her glory, dawn has burst forth,
With a slight glow of early morning brightness
I sit in the bower, listening to birds in concert
And admire wonderful, Rosebuds unfold,
Revealing a beautiful red rose
With a precision wisp of light prancing around them
Emitting a velvety feeling, so tempting to touch
Long green stems, prickles,
Full of scallop trim leaflets all in green,
With brown thin veins
Around the red velvet leaves,
Music playing on cool fresh air
Coursing through the whispering leaves
Sweet aroma of moist dew and rose perfumes
Floating gently on the breeze
Gives me an intense curiosity to embrace the rose
Just the sight of the red roses
Reminds me to breathe

Royal blue sky scattered sapphire clouds
On horizon embroidered in navy blue attire
Summoned by the onset of marigold sun
Emitting amber gold on tuscan yellow fire
Where tapestry of fluffy lavender floats
Decorating patterns of designs periwinkle
Mosaic of colors then spray-paint the water
Spreading a layer of golden yellow cover
Shimmering gold dust on twilight ripples
Abutting brushstrokes of dark blue egyptian
I saw you briefly where first time we met
On the lonely bridge that extends into bay
But as the dark landmass peeked its head
And the lifeless vegetation glinted despair
The tangerine breeze announced your exit
Quivering our aura beneath glittering riffle
For you refused to witness impending flame--
Broken vows ablaze in last breath of sunset

Angel Bones
Two Hundred fifteen angels (Narration by an elder)
each buried in a shallow grave
The monsters said the Angels were savages
that they were there to save
Each little heartbeat
cries up from the earth
“Come seek out our answers. (Narration by child)
please prove that we have worth”
“Those who survived us
have tried to be our voice.
Why have they been silenced?
Please listen it’s a choice.”
“Return us to our families,
so they can beat the drum.
Then our spirits will find peace,
in the place that we are from.”
“The world must know the truth,
the Government didn’t know best.
They fed us to pale monsters,
we were cursed instead of blessed.”
“Yes cruel pale faced monsters,
robed in uniforms of black.
Pretended to be Godly,
while perpetrating their attack.”
“Touching our little bodies,
telling us we were blind.
Deriving their cruel cruel pleasures,
monsters of a different kind.”
“The school was their playground,
these monsters had their way.
Each time we tried to speak,
there was a price to pay.”
(Drum beats)
thump thump, thump thump,
Thump thump, thump thump
Thump thump, thump thump
(Native elders singing)
The bones of our innocent Angels (Narration by Elder)
that they buried beneath the ground.
Their spirits speak in unison
Without emitting a single sound
Each little heartbeat
Cries up from the earth
“Come seek out our answers, (Narration by child)
please prove that we have worth.”

...and the wind..!
was,
electric.
there was water..!
there was sun..!
...it was all renewable...
the energy,
powered,
sustained,
life..!
Fossil liquids burning
emitting toxins
that was OUR mistake.
From the day a human kick started
wound up the first combustible engine..!
The first spill in any ocean
should have been our clue.
It was what cigarettes was to lungs-
-what alcohol was to brain cells.
It was a human error,
a human error so huge
that like a mythical dragon
assumed a life of its own
consumed the will
the power
the limited minds
of limited men.
Unlike the giant beast
veiled as nuclear power
with its unlimited potential
that would have wooed the minds
of the greatest among us,
oil from its inception
had the smell of destruction on its breath.
It would in its own way
fulfil the prophecy
the world would end
with a whimper not a bang.
We saw its horns
its bright red skin
its pitch fork
but we signed up willingly
...and from that day on
our eternal souls were damned.

Narrative
Its whispering gentle
through breeze to leaves
rustling each to a frenzied clamor
Can you hear the heightened sound?
Inaudible then so loud...so Loud!!
So loud you cant hear at all
As the days slip past do you
stop and listen?
Greatness calls!
Aptitude resides in minds...hiding in wait
as a coiled snake rearing to strike
A glimpse...a flash...a window we passed
our sight steering down a narrow hall
life carrying our feet too fast to see...
to left or right in brilliant hues
So vibrant and lively, ideas hiding in wait
Can you see them in the passing panes?
A moment of brilliance lays dormant
awaiting your attentive audience
Greatness calls!!
Outside stimuli grows so rapid
numbing our minds of freedom
processing the intake derails a train of thought
A locomotive whose motive is motivation
Rumbling on tracks reverbing through your soul
Can you feel the power surge in your veins?
raising hairs with the electricity of knowing...
...knowing an idea tingles with possibility?
crawling below the surface of skin
Itching for pores to release it
Greatness calls!!!
Sweetly epiphany drips of honey
cooing with a flavor we seldom devour
To settle for dreaming is to savor bittersweet
repression attacks the tongue so sour
Can you taste the food for thought?
A peach drizzling juicy images with clarity
sating the tongue, these dulcet revelations
Greatness calls!!!!
In realization the scent of lilac spring lingers...
fresh and intoxicating with the nectar of creativity
Wafting through with pleasing achievement
swirls of petals and spice compound a nasal euphoria
Yet in squandering ability lays the stench of rot
Reaking strong of regret this stagnating refuse
overpowers with the odor of inhibition
Can you smell the promise of flowers blooming?
in spite of doubt using rubbish for compost
Emitting a fragrance of intense talent
Greatness calls!!!!!

The Sun Rises- -The Moon Sets
Think of life, the cycle of
How radiation can support life, enough heat to
Ensure a stable self sustaining system.
Something like our RA, peasants producing
Under this celestial god. He may be dull at times, but
Never far from active.
Rising to all inhabitants.
Imitated by many, but none can capture
Something so surreal. For many hours
Everything thrives into productivity only to
Soon fade.
Telescoping images of you in the night
How warm is your glow soft blue white
Ever circling the world we call home
Master of revolution, elliptical, precise
Omnipresent, effervescence
Orb of the night, silent in flight
Never failing, glowing light
Shimmering beauty, through magnified eye
Emitting a wondrous, magnificent sight
Torched your surface, by meteor showers
Shine again tomorrow, I'm forever yours

Acrostic
Times when I felt my life is spent.
Should I yearn for happiness?
I feel I am like a towel
That absorbed too much.
Has it been washed
Far too many times?
Or like a colourful hummingbird
that lost its joyous tune
And can only grumble
At injustice and senile shame?
Behind the dark clouds of everyday
The sun shines bright and clear,
Emitting golden beams,
Enriching the deep galaxy,
Around it circle myriads
Of gaseous nebulas
And gorgeous stars.
And as I contemplate this greatness
I know I'm not alone,
I smile a little hopefully
And feel peace in my heart.

Trembling in the silence of a fresh snowfall, awaiting the struggle of laughter and tears, the beautiful that comes from stars shadowed by flakes so gentle they seem to speak silence into the spirit – like the voice of a vision, preaching peace ~ quote by poet
Secreted beneath the gentle fragments, shivering,
Blown in piles, demanding as January’s piercing light,
Silence caressing the stones, the oaks, the pines,
In glistening reflections, hearts possessed,
By the indigo skies who are burning with grace,
Speckled with sensations, amazement –
Sweltering in the 12 degree rays, where moments
Tend to breath in the crispness and release brilliance,
In waves, wisdom from the hunger
Ravenous appetites, awaiting the colors of light,
Friendly aromas of souls, newly blooming,
Emitting sounds that go on, unnoticed, echoes,
Vibrations trembling in soothing sighs…
Melodious blessings, ranging from hearts to insights,
Lifting the nights on wings of angels,
Promising the heavens to release the broken hearts,
Send comfort to the earth in the form of snow,
Who breathes a quiet truth, silence…
Beaming from the tender scales, shavings of ice,
Glittery and crisp, crumbling into moments,
When the laughing sun kisses the blanketed ridges,
Stirring the scene so that only the blurry vision,
Squinted from eyes who remember –
On the snow covered land there is plenty to glimpse,
But only the blinded eyes can truly remember,
How the sparkling snow seemed to shudder and shake,
In silence… deciding just how significant
How consuming is the silence of a shadow,
Reflected on the land whose bathed in fresh white,
The frosty sheen of hope breathing its lasting glance,
Over the peaceful promise of this kind and graceful spectacle,
Commotion in brilliance, awakening the spirit,
With a wonderful white home where the fires crack,
Popping so that even the wood can feel the flames traveling,
Deep into the bones, risking tragedy…
To be lauded by the sensations of Winter’s amazing,
Winter chasing the dreams, the belief, the faded hope…
For those silhouettes who follow the moon,
Ride the stars and twinkle like the deathlike grief,
Who arranges for even the darkness to be plucked from the earth,
By the fresh fallen flurries who break away the brittle,
Soothing souls so that they’re sanctified by the sentimental.

Verse
Together they sat by the side of a jumping cataract
Watching the sunlight dancing through the smoky vapour
With every droplet mirroring a spectrum of shades
Dreamt of a time when they would be man n’ wife
Never knowing one would vanish out from the sky like a rainbow.
He was a candle that glowed luminous
Emitting undeniable light of love and warmth
Who shone on her like the light of a harvest moon
A pillar, she thought, she could twine round
Like a creeping vine on a trellis
Now, as she sees the homing bird coming to join its mate
And listens to the notes of a nightingale from the deserted wood
She thinks of him and slips into an abyss of agony and longing
With waves of commotion swirling in her head
And sees her sky suddenly turning stygian black
When the setting sun in its twilight glows
When the waning day’s last glorious rays enclose
She seeks him in the hovering silence and seclusion of life
And wonder if love adrift and lost in the air
Would return once more to alight in her shattered heart....!

The daylight hours start to fade and die
Darkness creeps upon us like a stalking black cat
Streetlights flank both sides of the road
Looming large like massive matches waiting to be ignited
Special sensors activate, striking them into life
Dim at first then building to illuminate our way
Gradually the lustrous shimmer intensifies
Glowing giant angels with gleaming halos
Sodium bulbs emitting a golden aura
Shining in the dark with a comforting light
Beaming brilliance on our world making it bright
Meandering into the distance like a yellow corn snake
Guiding us on our way along our streets and roads

I'm but a frail bird tasked to bring hope and spread peace.
How shall I fly high in the sky with such a brittle burden!
My heart pounds in dilemma like a ping pong ball as I release
my wings in the air to take a flight at the height of a dark sky.
As dark as it can be, above me, the cauldron-black sky
with scary scars of blazing explosions emitting blinding light.
Beneath me, the brazier ground groaning with an outcry,
shedding tears of sparks that vaporize into nebulous smokes.
In between is the whizzing of weapons, excreting smokes
and urinating radiation that smothers the air with brutality.
Warhead rockets, firing aircraft, missiles, bombs...stoke
the fire of war for the sake of supremacy by killing morality.
Shrills of ruination buried under the roars of madness spree
while the two-legged demons having a bloodbath with big guns.
Colors of bliss faded away and helpless time trying to flee
as achromic misery taints moments with grim stains in gallons.
Ember red blood is the only bold color that flows in streams
dyeing the soil and water with a stench of rotting death.
Once cultivated verdant fields are now burned into coal seams.
Marred by violence, houses crumble like ashes in hearth.
Such horrific images I see all around me as the hearth
of fierce war burns with glaring flames and crackling noises.
I fly, hover and fly with my singed wings as there is a dearth
of safe shelter; my exhausted body trembles with fear.
Would I be able to stop the war? I questioned myself with fear.
Quite a hard-hitting answer I received in the form of a bullet
that pierced my heart and I fell on the ground with tears.
From my smeared blood, poppies bloom around me as I die.

Personification
Dear swollen-trunk maple, deemed
diseased by the saw-happy tree guy,
you who have stood silently, supposedly
slipping your ailment through your roots
to the neighboring trees, now fallen
full blast down, geometrically down,
right angle, then parallel at last, your flat-
sawn stump blotched with incriminating
evidence—you came and leafed
and are gone, and I who have grown old
in your lifetime, who intuited you rather
than knew you, felt you in my bones,
now feel the slightly thinner woods,
the hint of frailty. Scott the tree guy
has carried your eighteen-inch logs in his
red wheelbarrow and stacked them
for winter: a little Williams, a little Frost.
Oh tree, everywhere I look
I have to pledge reclamation, fill
the forest floor with ferns, mushrooms,
pine needles, and in the side corner
place the outhouse, practically unused
anymore, still in good shape, emitting
its rich human-waste smell, its wood
smell, its few spiders climbing
their trellises with their sticky feet.
Oh tree, so much has been discovered
to fill in the space where you were:
seven new species of Philippine
forest mice, a new genus of blind
Bulgarian beetle, four new species
of jewel beetles, six of New World
micromoths. I have filled my note cards,
I have left the vertical space open
for the Ur-tree, the canonical vision
that will take your place, even the stigmata,
your bulged and arthritic joints, the
whither of your leaving, the grand word
whither standing where you were.

He wakes as sun surrenders to nightfall;
emitting a haunting howl, he rises to prowl.
Bright amber eyes fixate on sources of nourishment.
Leaving his protected den in Yellowstone,
gray predator becomes the prey.
Just feet beyond the National Park
farmers shoot to protect livestock.
Defenders of Wildlife beg of Congress
“Stop the shooting!
Ensure the future of once-endangered wolves!”
Regal kings of the mountains and prairies,
nearly extinct in the ‘30s,
rebounded but are still vulnerable.
Their future rests in the hands of man,
a species that exterminates thoughtlessly,
posing threats to many of nature’s gifts.
Wild one, remain in protected areas.
Survive and thrive; extinction is forever.
Mankind’s death knell tolls for too many.
* Information on the gray wolf is provided by “Defenders of Wildlife,” a U.S. group that works to protect many endangered species. Each day we lose 25 to 150 animal species. Light, defined as electromagnet,
radiation; photon particles
Natural visible light: with intensity, and frequency
Light wavelength spectrum / polarization propagation
People pleasure and preen at the beach with sunny sun tanning
Sunlight illuminates Mountain trails for bicycling and trekking
Sunsets have lavender with orange bright beams extending
Solar sunrays light a day of picnic park fun with joyful frolicking
Some of the light spectrum is radio, white light, ultraviolet and x-rays
Infrared is only heat visible and gamma-rays are the most powerful
Small lasers are used in disk drives, printers, and fiber-optics
Fiber-optic networks is light fast digital information system
TV plasma, liquid crystal displays, LEDs light-emitting diodes gives visuals
These assist our everyday visual optic neural perceptions
Cars have headlights and ships use fog-lights
Light-towers have flood-lights and we use handy flashlights
Tesla and Edison partook in the light bulb’s invention
Lewis Latimer and Joseph Nichol invented its carbon filament
This did dispel much of the world’s nighttime darkness
Lightning lights reveal a charge of the negative and positive
Colors of violet, blue, green, yellow, orange, red: are in white light
Some colors viewed when seeing a rainbow over a dewy meadow
What can be possibly seen at the other end of a rainbow
This but to note God’s faithful abatement covenant
Starlight is continually being reflected and refracted
Earth and the Heavens is lit up by starry Star Lights
Great Stars round and renowned, in balance and equilibrium
They are fiery fireballs very luminous and bright
Stars dispersing their photon particles at light speed
"Light speed, “299,792,458 meters per second"
Light, is a part of the equation “E=MC squared”
“Energy,” not made, nor annihilated, yet always in flux
"Natures life sustaining and revealing light, "Light Particle"
