Best Drowsy Poems
In the tall green grass of August I lay,
And the sky was a sparkling deep blue,
And the orange sun sat on a distant hill,
As I drowsed in the forever of a moment!
Magenta blush and red flowers over my head,
Waved at the vivid birds floating above,
As puffy clouds drifted slowly, far away.
A yellow butterfly landed in my long hair,
And fluttered away as insects hummed tunes.
Time slowed to a stop in the season of sun!

Clock tick I hear loud
I open my mouth wide, an
yawn
closes his eye lids.
Lunch at a party,
later open book in hand,
left
book and mouth open.
Long Travel in flight
all is quiet, some shoulders
have
turned into pillows.
TV ON with loud
news, recurring sound comes from
a
seat, remote on floor.

And you can see my jauntiness
I’m not afraid of deviation,
I don’t have a fear for disgrace.

I’ll try somehow to progress.
You can dismiss and also dare

You think it must be insolence.
Oh, don’t be shy and so much frightful:
We have destroyed the drowsy silence!

You to me are perfection,
Laying in the golden sun,
Green grass, white clouds,
You and I are the only ones.
I look into your eyes,
You take my hand in yours,
We have a whole conversation,
In this momentary pause.
I close my eyes and lean into you,
Your actions mirror mine,
Our lips touch and there's an explosion,
Followed by a leap in time.
Just after this my alarm rings,
And i raise my drowsy head,
I cry because you're not here,
You're in my dreams instead.
feathery cloud floats,
drowsy lake yawns, slow sailboats,
warm breeze takes off coats
sleeping mood brings anomalous rhyme
dreamy night embraces me with chime
lyric songs of the dawn
bite the sleep with adorn
drowsy gabbling mimes dithering time

boring professor grouses
needs to freshen up his notes

Drowsy vista glow,
dwindling radiant golden.
Daylight’s recall lost.
What Einstein dreamed in his drowsy brain
would’ve driven any normal person insane.
He saw God with a face to be feared,
yelling, "I already told you, e equals mc squared!
Albert! How many times do I have to explain!"
Crescent moon has inched up
and away and
gone to bed.
I slump down in fatigue
and start dreaming
I'm awake.
Lazy breeze is a soft strand
of cobweb on
my nape.
Midnight has long dozed off,
dawn yawns from so
far away.
I sense the warmth
of my loyal dog there
at my feet.
