Drowsy Dream
Crescent moon has inched up
and away and
gone to bed.
I slump down in fatigue
and start dreaming
I'm awake.
Lazy breeze is a soft strand
of cobweb on
my nape.
Midnight has long dozed off,
dawn yawns from so
far away.
I sense the warmth
of my loyal dog there
at my feet.
