The vermillion sunset has long dissipated
Over the marine persimmon horizon afar.
In the deep subterranean silence of the charcoal night.
Obfuscation confuses the illogical mind,
And conjures titanium dreams or harlequin volitions.

I feel your power descend upon me,
Subjugated surrender becomes inevitable
As I become malleable like puce plasticine.

I discern my wife approach, shimmering in thin air,
Dressed in a dark turquoise threadbare gown, in the pale rays
Of the chartreuse moonlight, resembling an enigmatic ivory ghost
Drawing near in a flimsy wisp of a nocturnal mist.

Come closer, come, I want you near me,
Sing an echoing mesmerizing mermaid melody for me,
Or slide into an enticing dance macabre.
I thrive upon such inexplicable endeavors,
Where nocturnal indigo sprites whisper dreamy antics
So pleasing to the provocation of the mind,
Combine to please the sybaritic nerves
Of this old and senile useless mind of mine.

Certainty and the Shade of Seven More Months.

He's infuriatingly...

pretty...

and I follow myself over his smile to find my eyes, promising uncertainty and chewing on
my bottom lip with the hunger that resides in...

love...

He rolled me over and kissed my dreams, his mouth became my salvation and I nailed myself
to the bedpost as we made love, my legs became morning while I screamed midnight to the
dawn...

and I had never seen such a beautiful sunrise, I had never seen the beginning color herself so
strangely...

I told him, as our eyes appeared shallow, as the light dimmed and he breathed summer on my
neck...

“Blue is blue, Dear, don't try to shade it with red.”

But he explained to me the art of bruises, he informed me the results were beautiful, and
he held up a mirror to my unmarked skin, places where the black and blue and...

purple...

has dissipated...

while he sheltered my chest with his hand, covering my heart with his palm, and told me
the results still beat...

in.me.

I cried, tears of the rain that once fell in April, and he held me, time slipping between
us, beads of sweat that spoke eternity and seven more months, and I spoke silently so he
could hear me, I whispered his name...

“God, you're beautiful,” he said on the second I realized the sadness had left me, that
she had found content and was studying the games we never played with the fascination of a
child, I touched his cheek with the surreal movements that occur when one has fallen and
been caught and smiled at the thought of us...

I sacrificed my pain that night, I handed it straight over to midnight when the day broke,
I blended the sunrise with blue and watched the sky turn purple with him right beside me,
I counted the minutes to eternity and he laughed at my obsessions as he told me I was...

beautiful...

as he drank my belief off my left shoulder with a kiss...

and I looked at him, in the light, my eyes deep with the memories of the sea, as I kissed
him, with a certainty I never questioned as tomorrow started forever...

and he would live inside me
for seven
more
months.

To Erase the Memory of You

To Erase The Memory Of You

To erase the sunspots of the mind,
The memories that are you,
The dotted sunshine through the years,
Enslaved in lover’s hue.

To rid the body of all the pain
And showers flooding through,
Grey clouds that dissipated
With your songs and rainbow view.

To have lived a life having never known
The warmth and deep connect,
The nurture feigned for access,
Prior to drought and harsh neglect.

To forget the madness of the love
And desire I felt so true
Would be the agony and ecstasy
In this garden made for two

To forgive and not forget
Is now all that will ensue,
But I forgive myself for loving you
For it wasn’t hard to do.

Surreal Stars Viceral Dreams

As i looked up to the sky

The darkness ever so slightly dissipated

And was replaced by the majesty, grace,
wonder and beauty

Of a billion plus stars

Some so large, bright and close

It felt like i could wrap my world around them

And most surreal of all

Was i wasn't actually dreaming

This was visceral

This was real

A infinite universe of celestial graveyards

Beyond the earths ceiling

Starring directly back at me

Whilst driving through the Karoo desert post midnight

Premium Member Our Fight

Clouds of doubt hovered
Over our heads
They multiplied and grew to
Mistrust
That brewed into a storm of anger which
Unleashed its rage in
Thunder of words and
Lightning of gestures.

In a while
The exhausted tempest subsided
Clouds dissipated
The sun of trust hesitantly appeared
It grew stronger and brighter,
Reason prevailed,
Feelings warmed up,
Harts palpitated,
Arms opened wide
And
We threw ourselves into
Each other's embrace
Finding thus shelter in
Our love

Hence

Fearing the coming of a
A new storm, NO MORE!

Premium Member Do Not Regret

Regret not, my darling,

For

Yesterdays’ storm was not a curse for

Our relationship but a blessing

Since

It dissipated the clouds of misunderstanding

Allowing, thus, the sun of our love, in all its glory

From now on, to shine!

Rich-Heart

For Richard Lamoureux's "Any line" contest.

Richard Seale-d Door's line: slammed shut are the doors in "A mind made up".

You told me before
slammed shut are the doors
when my love for you went astray
I got my comeuppance
he's worth not a tuppence
and rumor has it he's gay

Lest I've need of another
visit to me brother
sometime for a quick howdy-do
or longing for discourse
in code as of Morse
on the stealth oiled a hinge, p'haps two

Ah, found me a crack
Leech-a is back
my love for the other's dissipated
you smile goodly, warmly
longingly, lovingly
my return welcome and anticipated

Unrequited Affection

When often thinking of times past
In accordance to her own place
She recalled a heart broken young woman
With longing her pain to erase

Guys grow fond of her demeanor
Going so far as to follow her around
Yet without a doubt she controls her heart
And departs them safe and sound

She never strays from her values and ways
From actions she continues to refrain
And when boys spend time in her company
For her, it is merely to entertain

Childish ways once embedded naturally
Inside her innocent mind
Have soon dissipated into the land of dreams
And reality she’s come to find

So many times she’s feared the day
When one young soul she shall meet
He’ll speak foreign truth she’s never heard
And sweep her off her feet

Hesitant to become transparent
She often hid her anticipation
And did so well for the initial encounters
Although with great frustration

No one seemed to understand her like this one
For in such a short amount of time
She questioned what her motives were
As her affection seemed to climb

Attempts to stray from him failed miserably
And in fact seemed to attract her more so
Each departure she vowed was the last
Yet her endearment continued to grow

Left in a quandary
She allows him to speak his peace
She soon understands his wishes for them
Are from each other to release

Now, rational a thinker she may be
She desires his wishes as well
But something leads her to believe
They both know this attempt will fail

She’s scared to read too much into this
In fear that feelings are unrequited
For only God can deem what’s to be true
And who shall be united

So, idly she and her soul await
For sign of returned desire
Yet, until that day she will attempt no more
And to her chambers simply retire

Premium Member A Mystic Place To Live ------ Potd

Haphazardly,
Infinity and affinity mingled,
In an asymmetry imbalance.

A dishevelled universe,
Grew and shrank as fire devoured,
Yet ice sustained.

Outrages currents swirled,
Straightened, dispersed, and garnered,
Dissipated into nothing,
Only to surge again and again and again.

Until a soft soothing spirit unfurled itself,
Protracting into every nook,
Fire and ice detached their selves
Into their proper assumed place,

Light and darkness found their proper place.
How harmonious was creation now!

The Magnetism of Our Union

Nice and slow, I feel you coming on
Persistent, messy, though fragile
You are over me, under me, beyond me
Crushing my lingering patience,
So that it no longer lingers,
But putrefies

And all the while, I feel you coming on

Over me, under me, beyond me
You know you have planned this muddle
Organized, and poised, I did not take the bait
I became the bait
And you bit…by bliss you did bite

I was so afraid that your teeth were going to shatter…
Because I had been made by laboring stonemasons
Who were trained to reduce the most radiant of rock into devil
I was so hard-pressed in the ugliness
Though in that moment, you sank in, and deeply….

Over me, under me, and beyond me
You came onto me
And all the devil slammed into my being dissipated

Now I can barely stand without you…….

The magnetism of our union continues to intensify
For even patience has her prowl
And her rot is built on our magnum opuses

In the Sigh of Memories

we sat
on a blanket of grass
beneath ebony skies
the stars reflecting
in your eyes
as the moon
cast a lambent light
atop the lake nearby
where silhouettes danced
to the cicadas song

we clung to hope
like leaves to trees
as we breathed
within summer's breath

we saw forever
in the span
of a star studded sky
a glisten in eyes
never goodbyes

we wished
upon a fallen star
that love
nor this night
would ever end

we watched
as dreams
dissipated
like fog
within the dawn
as we fell apart

now we only exist
as we breathe
through the sighs
of memories

Assuming My Role In the Diorama

I awake with the question "Am I like my predecessor?"
Automated and fabricated to slave for the oppressor
I join the procession yet I am an orbate transgressor
Dissipated and attenuated with no clear successor

Then I drift into much more lofty domains
With greater rewards yet more precarious terrain
A place where answers can not quite be explained
Where the mind is confounded but the spirit ascertains

Then I shower and shave; I sigh and greet the day
Will it be my chagrin or triumph I put on display?
In my head I have a tempest, in my heart a bouquet
I must choose which one to portray, which one to obey

Premium Member God's Presence

The storm has subsided
The wind has died out
The sea has calmed.

The night has passed
The sun has risen
Darkness is dissipated
Fear is gone
Hope has returned
My dream is revived.

God gave me another chance:*
Another day to live,
Another day to test my wings,
To fly
To create.

The goal of my life appeared before my eyes
Anew:
Provoking
Challenging
Demanding.

I feel God's presence!

My faith is strengthened,
My determination is reinforced,
My heart rejoices,
My soul is uplifted.

It is certain, that this time,
I would succeed in serving Him better

For

With the Lord's help,
NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE!

* Back in October 2021, I had a serious accident that
caused a large Hematoma in my brain, and as a consequence of that, I had
a long (12") Craniotomy which brought me to the gates of eternity mute and paralyzed, however, God gave me another chance to live!

Premium Member Painting My Way To Relaxation

Painting in my art studio is a relief to me
My breathing changes the minute I sit in my chair.
Facing a field of snow-covered woods, my body calms down
Tenseness I did not consider all day is released into the vapor.
Stress and anxiety ease out of my cement spinal column
The perpetual neck ache I had not noticed is instantly gone
Meditative state gently picks me up,
embraces and loves me I reach for a canvas and
begin my artistic heart dance.
Color begins throwing herself into my essence
Choose me!
 Pick me!
I smile.
I do have my favorites.
The begging does not hurry me,
I am centered.
 I take my time,
surrounded by a natural blissful calmness.
My adoring angels and fantastical faeries visit me here.
They know I am vulnerable, and at my most receptive.
All frenzy, stress, and pain has dissipated.
I am my me-self here, crazy happy, lapping up their inspiration,
Feeling loved.

Their hands touched occasionally,
He was tall and handsome,
She looked lovely as a peach.
They felt the passion as they kissed,
But often, love dissipated,
Like clouds that came and went.

Of course, they preferred the joy,
Though sadness visited
Like waves, occasionally rough,
But mostly smooth.
they learned to be strong,
Even as the breezes blow.

Still, they danced on lawns.
Or soft yellow sand,
Kissed, hugged, or enjoyed a swim,
Till finally, they tied the knot
And kept their hearts afloat.
