Long ago Messiah came
tiny babe with Holy Name.
Born a lamb of Bethlehem
Promise of redemption’s plan.
Sinless one, He died for sin.
God in flesh, He rose again!
Ascended One enthroned above,
bids His followers to love.
Let the great glad tidings ring,
Christ will soon return as king!
Finally our Lord will reign,
ridding earth of death and pain.
Glorified in robes of white,
His radiance dispels the night.
All knees will bow and tongues confess
He is Lord and nothing less!
Holy hands to Him we raise!
All creation, give Him praise!
Holy One, our everything!
Jesus Christ the Lord and King!

"Love is like a beautiful flower which I may not touch ,but whose fragrance makes the garden a place of delight just the same"
(Quote by: Helen Keller)
LOVE, what mystique power, it wields
What bumper dividends it yields
At times, IS LIKE an ache so coy to reveal
Or A BEAUTIFUL urge, hard to conceal
As brilliance to stars, fragrance to a FLOWER
Music to flute or shade to a bower
Love dwells and thrives in heart’s inner shrine
Connecting souls as by magic with a bond divine
Some times, we feel it as a deep sensation
Sprouting in us strong surges of emotion
WHICH enliven every atom of our being
Filtering down from top to bottom, nourishing and healing
I MAY sometimes ignore its fervent call
But will NOT undervalue its merits tall
Oh, Love! Thy virtues I will defend
Though seasons change and youth does end
Love is a magic talisman to TOUCH the heart
Filling the void, never leaving any dearth
It makes the mind go upbeat in prosody
Changing every sensation into a rhapsody
The red red Rose that emanates radiance
Surrounded by thorns, BUT WHOSE FRAGRANCE
Everyone inhales, MAKES THE GARDEN
A PLACE of perennial beauty as one OF Eden,
Love soothes and stills every ache of the heart
Filling it with DELIGHT, propitiating a new start
It is like the cool touch of spray in the horrid heat of noon
Or on a humid day, a splash with friends in the lagoon
Love sublime, JUST like a candle lit
Consumes itself, but keeps on giving light
It dispels THE gloom and cleanses the dirt
Invigorating the soul and healing every hurt
In ups and downs, love remains the SAME
Lighting the world with love should be our aim
It is on the axis of love that the world spins round
Tt is the panacea curing all the ills which surround!

It is the night, in deepest dark, that death foretells
the demon heart in which all lonely feeling dwells.
Yet, in plain sight, our eyes can’t see what life impels,
emotion’s plea, our deepest sorrow love dispels.
Blind are caustic ink filled visions, all light repels,
like charred decisions, ash from crematory tells
a tale where quietus intrepidity sells
the silent impetus toward a life of many hells.
Walled inside this ebon murk, my emotion wells;
beyond they lurk, those who are sane, their tale retells
how life is to live, and the end but brief farewells.
Though my will may bend, it is I that death compels.

"Two doves in white flying, feathers glow beneath the morning's rainbow colors" - Charles Messina
The sun thaws in a kaleidoscope of hues,
of crimson, yellow, and blue flows.
As the sun slumps into direct view,
Sited off the coast, back to repose
Sparkling shades pervade the sky,
tributes to the lonesome moon.
colors that are so vivid to the eye,
Birds soar aloft to the nightingale's tune.
Final sight of aesthetic grace,
ahead of the onset of total nightfall.
Relish the extent and luster of the place,
awe-inspiring beauty, and splendor of it all.
Conch gem and sylvan shell,
splash ashore with scenic beauty.
Sapphire tides wished each other well.
over hills uttered in the birds' first fluty
Absorb the morning's chuckling allure,
it dispels fear and helps you sparkle like jade.
Believing that love offers a delightful lure,
delight at dawn with the sky's shade.

Should it be a poet's duty
To write solely about beauty?
A POET’S DUTY by BETH EVANS
ANSWER ON A BED OF NAILS
let me answer the quixotic brioche —
we all need a delicate pinch;
brachial bruising a warning
all the flowery talk dispels the magnitude
of cancer, the carbuncle of abuse,
the horrific salutations of the nazi regime
we march alone but also as a world
arm in arm, armed with insecticide
words like ants; a bench’s rash
a hose in diffusion’s spray
may try to paint the sky
in shades of love’s foray
turn it off; let flow subside
take a better look —
heart on a bed of nails
war of words; a twisting sword
let truth be the blood
that scores
because a poet can also whitewash
with parrots
mimic...mimic...mimicking
seek your bellyache
examine, test, squander
all its savings
let cavalry of water fall
soaking wet
with poet’s ink

Spring has earned a special place in my heart:
a season so fair,
She dispels despair.
And I anxiously await Spring to start;
for craving her touch,
I miss Her so much.
I long for the sensual perfume She'll wear;
a blend of sweet-smelling flowers and fresh air.
She taught my heart to sing.
Some say that Spring is no more than a wish:
no reason to cheer,
She is not yet here.
But She's such a tempting, delicious dish,
I can hardly wait:
and circling the date
on my calendar, I'm counting down the days.
Whiling away the hours in a thousand ways;
She taught my heart to sing.
Winter winds are finally in full flight:
the snow melts away,
Spring is sure to stay.
As sunlight stretches Day and shortens Night:
frozen rivers flow,
and Daffodils show.
Nature dabbles the landscape in inks of green:
the air feels invigorating, fresh, and clean.
And tweeting songbirds add music to the scene.
She taught my heart to sing;
I love that about Spring.

Summertime heats the birds and bonny boughs.
Wings lighthearted and flapping with the breeze.
Likewise, the scent of honeysuckles arouse
A ring - the wedding bells of buzzing bees.
Yet, the downpour of sweat, the pavement roast,
Burnt on both sides. Oh never mind… The sun
Resounds the flute, and cheers with champagne toast,
The budding lips of two becoming one.
See! Doesn’t matter! The roses, all in bloom.
White cocklebells a gushing veil of June.
The butterfly dispels the Winter’s gloom.
Lights up bride’s eyes and cricket’s honey moon.
Fireflies, amidst the dancing guests, in flight.
Fireworks light up the countenance of night.

Inviting and magnetic the towering awesome sight
A perspective of domineering rock and icy peaks
It challenges, dares and beckons with unfolding beauty
Stretching upwards into shades of blue and puffy clouds.
Along the winding sloping trail I make my way, the easy
Lower tract encased in green, till rough terrain appears
Then stimulation is released when steep ascent arrives.
I climb and breathe the pure fresh air, intense intoxication
It is so peaceful all around, a place for meditation.
The time goes by. I look for holds and make full use of spikes
Intent on concentration. The wind comes by and contributes
To the hazards of melting ice and hidden crevasses
The weary limbs in need of rest; a keen lookout for falling rocks
An avalanche of crumbling doubts that slows the pace...
Subdued exhilaration when the going gets too hard.
At last the top is right above. An added burst of strength
Dispels the peril of defeat. One final forward thrust
Victory is mine. The summit reached I gaze in awe
Surveying with pride my sprawling kingdom down below.

Love should feel like a burning flame of fire,
fueled by everlasting bonds of trust.
And not the promises of a liar;
distorting truths in the pursuit of lust.
You feel the tears building behind your eyes
as your hopes sink, scuttled by betrayal.
And realizing what each drop implies,
dreams collapse as anxieties prevail.
An unbearable pain pierces your heart
when truth dispels the illusion of lies.
And while doubt and mistrust tear it apart,
depression devastates trust as it dies.
The empty promises your heart endured
were a mix of fantasy and pretense.
And juvenile dreams that never matured;
spurred a catastrophic set of events.
Like a river, destiny sets love's course;
and yet, you choose who will be by your side.
So, if fate veers and heads toward remorse,
change direction to stop the hurt inside.

A heart that cries more than me
in my pain.
Whose congenial and benign teachings
make me sane.
A warm touch that dispels from me
the gales of worry.
Whose proximity ensures me that I'm
protected by her under furry.
A helping hand that always hold me
whenever I'm about to lose.
& my first teacher who makes me to
distinguish between donts' and dos'.
A voice and nothing more, an Angel
who is entirely mine just after my birth.
And she is none other but 'My Mother',
The God on Earth.
Although to define her in words is
beyond my skill.
Nevertheless I can say that her pace in
my life, none can fill.
She is the one who needs not a single
word of me to understand.
In my devastation, she is always there
to provide effusively her hand.
In the weariness of my life, with her,
I may lose to be in link.
But she ever remembers me whenever I
breathe or my eyes blink.
I can say that in search of heaven,
I needn't to go anywhere.
I would like to put my head in my
mother's lap, as its only there..

The year 2017 will I not forget
at that time received really bad news
diagnosed with prostate cancer no less
shaken in my core really got the blues
But God drew near in midst of it
showing Christ is indeed my mighty rock
He brought calming peace in the situation
whispering His love in midst of my shock
When you're told you've got cancer
it takes some moments to sink in
in my case, it was just five per cent
then the treatment would have to begin
But Jesus was with me through it all
proving Himself a saviour of all might
touching me in and through my treatment
so that I would know His awesome light
Now in 2018, I am much better
majority of cancer is now gone
trusting the healer to do it all
dispels the darkness before the dawn
(Recounting my experience of 2017 having been diagnosed with prostate cancer and praising God for his healing hand in touching my body in his power and now feeling much better with needing no more treatment just 6 monthly checkups.)

I fear to tell you
Why I go to the dark cave every evening.
If you must know
It’s because she whose heart mine is knitted with is a dragon.
A wild beast.
She devours my fears.
She invades my mind and dispels
My doubts.
She dethrones my loneliness.
And pulls down the walls of hate.
She sinks the ships of depression.
I surrendered when she broke down my
gates.
She has taken the empire of my soul.
Have you ever found her kind
In your nature books?
She raids the cities
Of my painful past
And brings to me its spoils.
She is not beautiful?
Your eyes will never tell you she is.
Her beauty is not given to sight to
behold.
She exhales fire; I burn.
She beats my pen into a sword; I conquer.
She is not among the daughters
That go down the stream at eve
With earthen pots to draw water.
She is wingless
Without the poetry
My heartbeats recites.
My whispers are the wind
She glides in.
I sail on her tears
To realms the eagles have not seen.
My ink is the only wine that intoxicates her.
When she lies drunk in my arms
that's when I sneak away
And you find me here.
Do not frown at this slave I have become.
O do not!
For I am gladly enchanted.
There is no return.
Seek me not.
You will never find me.
tracing my footprints on the sands.
Footprints can only be found
on the sands of time.
The realm in her
arms is timeless.

Bathing in your gentle light
Is like splashing in the sea
Your smile dispels the dark of night
And brings the dawn to me
Our love is young and fragile too
And yet is evergreen
I find each day I am with you
There sprout new joys to glean
And though we are so oft apart
And hand in hand can’t be
Know you’re always in my heart
My sweet and dear baby

How may burns, scars, or dark lines identify me?
How can a red face or tan skin define my destiny?
Seek decay-proof goods akin to diamond display.
Despite affluence, cherish your spirit and pray.
There exists no absolute upper or lower limit.
Aside from that, the present moment is merit.
I can't deny that I'm here looking out, outscore.
Without the proper gear, who am I at my core?
Shy roses, withering, rest kindly below the sky.
A graceful early sun dispels all fears on display.
Leisure, love, and a longing for self-awareness.
Goals, prayers, state of mind, glee, and sadness.
Assign skills and wisdom to acquire optimism.
"Transcending Facts" overcomes dogmatism.
Fearing or trusting shock, your desire to evolve.
We relish the reprieve when our youth resolve.
As you sigh, listen to tales of grace in the rustle.
Under the stardust pledges, faith, and beats bevel.
Truly genuine, unspoken, and enduringly sincere.
It usually sounds airy and conveys a loud *****.
Our minds and views tend to be tough to grasp.
Risks and an unending waltzing of longing clasp.
Our inner child gets to freely explore his curiosity.
Even with age, life nurtures us with its complexity.
Enticing peace, eradicating chauvinism and gloom.
Mossy floors, buried in the wickedness of bloom.
Wrens and ravens on shaky twigs call for calm souls.
Who can discern the euphoria in a dewdrop's calls?
The splendor of passion ignites a desire to bind.
Forming bonds to offer ease and peace of mind.
Others show severe thirst; they're ravenous.
They'll feel it takes less to remain rapturous.
My soul is anxious to surrender the uneasy part.
Slices of me—kind, delicate, and graceful heart.
My blood flooded with God's only tender mercy.
Light shards, mixed with shining flames, calmly.
The radiant light angels restore is who we are.
Glorious hope, faith, and love, God's ideal debar.
Creating a tale over the passion we feel at heart.
Is the ideal love suited to releasing all at the start?

Stymied by stygian thoughts
On a moonless, murky night,
Black is this chasm of soul's severe sorrow,
Midnight hues paint their negative musings
In somber shades of non-inspiring rhythms;
Inky gloom pervades the mind,
Bleak are the beats of darkness,
Notions conceived at this hour are dreary,
Transforming into tormenting nightmares,
Nagging the heart with worries and unease;
Drifting off to troubled sleep
In soul-sick state suspended,
Till the heart holds tight to Haven of Hope,
Flooding the grim recesses with sunshine,
A tentative smile plays on faith-filled face;
A glimpse of glimmer appears,
Shadows give way to rainbows,
All's well with the world of woven wonders,
The joy of The Lord strengthens my being,
God-granted grace dispels dismal despair,
Encompassed by Christ's true Love,
Light shines through and I find rest.
