The Disappointed Baseball Player

Not all my hits are home runs,
many of them miss the bat;
specators respond with boos...
right there I expect to lose,
and getting angry, I toss my cap.

Premium Member God Must Be Disappointed In Us

Oft' I've pondered if when God peers down upon this His own Creation,
And sees this blue marble heading for calamity with each day's rotation,
That He must shake His head and weep at the chaos humanity hath wrought,
Wondering why folks can't abide by The Golden Rule His Son once taught!

Peoples who cry out for freedom are crushed 'neath wicked tyrants' heels,
While autocrats amass vast fortunes, ignoring the impoverished folks' appeals!
He must be appalled that there are even some religions that foster strife;
That there are those who plot evil and don't respect the sanctity of life!

He must look with dismay at the lack of stewardship and the mess we've made,
Of His once pristine orb that we've managed to leave so polluted and frayed!
His magnificent forests and waters aren't immune from mankind's rapacious greed.
We've harvested their bounty and ravaged resources without regard to need!

Old men plot and the very young die carrying out their nefarious schemes.
All too young they die, never having the opportunity to realize their dreams.
God must wonder why there is so much mayhem and lack of brotherhood,
Among folks of diverse races and creeds even in their own neighborhood!

He must at times consider hurling this orb of His into the ebon void of space,
And begin genesis anew since we persist in certain doom at a steady pace!
Thankfully, we have a merciful God Who will sort things out for us along the way,
But it might be well to concoct a plausible story to tell Him on Judgement Day!

Disappointed

Disappointed

Madam Chair, could we please get to the point
Let’s decide today which group we will appoint

Too much effort and time has already been spent
Already deep in our budget there is a major dent

Last year unanimously, Browns’ were appointed
This year we would like another company instead

The stench of poorly made products is burning our nose
Are we prepared to suffer more lost with another dose

All our company’s resources, time and energy is sapped
While Browns’ continue to splurge and margaritas sipped

Are we going to be content and in our easy chairs sit
While our time, finances and energy go down to the pit

Disappointed Tina

Tina was mad,

thought she gotten a lad

that would fulfill her dreams

 turning whispers into screams

First night in bed under the spread

there was nothing there to grab

That’s when mean Tina kicked Fred out of bed

Inspired by Jan Allison's poem "Terrifying Tina"

TERRIFYING TINA

A petite ballerina named Tina
Seemed serene but she couldn’t be meaner
When she got in the sack
She was on the attack
At the size and the shape of his ‘wiener’

Her suitors would then try to dodge her
After insults on their little todger
But listen up guys
I have a surprise
She’s transgender and she was once Rodger!

TERRIFYING TINA PART 2 - COLLABORATION WITH SONNY ROPER
Tina wanted a special honeymoon night
She wanted everything to be just right
Into his drink she slipped two little blue pills
It was to enhance their midnight thrills
Into the bed she jumped with her stud
But the night suddenly turn into a dud
Fred was in the land of dreams! As a joke it seems
Someone had slipped Novocain into her Vaseline!

Premium Member Reincarnated Rozetta, Disappointed

Reincarnated Rozetta was very angry with her super angel team for saddling her with ChimChang Man again.
They had spent the last two lifetimes together, once as squirrels, and now as a cat couple, him fat, her relatively thin.
ChimChangMan wanted to have a new litter of kits, but Rozetta was more than satisfied with the five litters she had already birthed.
On Saturday, October 4th, when she was recycled by a garbage truck, Rozetta stomped up to her committee and said, “Anywhere but that planet Earth.”
ChimChang Man met his petard a few months later thanks to a motorcycle that skidded on dangerous black ice.
His Angel Committee met him at the pearly gates and said, “We warned you to be extremely polite, mono-lovely, and nice.”
“Are you meowing me? I was the perfect gentle-cat.I was home with my catwoman almost every single night.”
The committee put him on a transport and sent him to Venus after an extremely controversial Angel Committee catfight.
On the transport he met Mo, a sexy camel, with a beautiful hump, and fantastic middle toes.
He cornered a committee member in the lavatory, and asked, “How can I become one of those?”
“It’s a relatively simple process,” the committee member told him, “Are you sure you want to try?”
The next thing ChimChangMan knew, he was pushed out of the transport, and hurling to the earth to die.
A vindictive Reincarnated Rozetta scanned the horizon, as far as her praying mantis eyes could see.
She was totally excited and desperate to bite ChimChangMan’s head off, yet that was never to be,

I'M Disappointed

I'm disappointed not because am hungry
but it's the world that tortures me.
I say am disappointed not because am sick
but it's my life that needs care every time.
I'm disappointed again not because i will die
but it's those who hate me everyday.
I'm disappointed a lot not because am poor
but it's those who make the world hard
because of corruption and wars.
I say am disappointed!

Disappointed

Disappointed here and there,
Disappointed as I walk,
This line of my life,
I am tired of disappointed,
Confused not knowing who to trust?
And the people who I put all my effort to,
They disappoint me the most.
Ever ask someone for help,
And they walk out the moment,
That you most need them?
To be by your side?
The trust that is hard to give?
People you love?
I am tired of being disappointed,
In my life almost everyday,
I walk with a pain,
Eyes full of tears,
Nothing knowing who to trust?
Is hard as it is,
But I try and some people,
Mess it all up,
I don't want to trust,
No more.

Premium Member The Disappointed Children

How all the children loved their last teacher.
First day her feast.
Could not clap
and give
gifts.
For
there now
was someone
they did not know.
A brand new teacher had arrived for school.

I'M Disappointed In You.

You never call the house is a mess, your always gone and I am a wreck.
Where did you go, why did you leave?
Our children are here but now only have me.
I loved you so much and stayed faithful to you, but you deceived me and are kids
to.
You left us alone and took everything with you including my heart and my love
for you.
Now all that’s left is to say goodbye because you where a jerk and you
lied,
To me and the kids you were not true and all I have to say is that I’m
disappointed in
You made a promise that you didn’t keep you now your gone
and left us to weep.

Premium Member Happiness

Happiness is left to be defined by your ownself
As you know yourself better than anyone else
As you're special and unique
Moreover one man's meat may be another man's poison
But don't ask for too much
So that you won't always be disappointed
As the world is to be shared by all
It needs effort and patience to attain happiness
If you're disappointed at this moment
At least someone else isn't disappointed
And so wait for your turn
It seems to be your own business
To work for any happiness
Except any blessings from God
It seems to be your own business
To value any happiness even it's small
As no one can help you to be happy
If you aren't ever ready and be prepared to be happy
Even how small is the happiness gifted to you

Disappointed

I should be watching Rafa
In my Rafa hat and shirt,
But Wimbledon is at a loss
Because Nadal is hurt.

He won the quarterfinals
With an injury to cause
Some pain when he was serving
And it seems that gave him pause.

So he withdrew and all his fans,
Of course including me,
Are disappointed, knowing
In the finals he won’t be.

Falsehood and lies do no one any benefit
                                           Every lie is a mask
with a lie one exposes one's own dignity
Fake people are poor in spirit
In the profile, people are real
they don't realize they are being watched
                                    Everyone says they are friends
                                   - naive are those who trust them

Premium Member Disappointed She Is Not American

Haley Mills played Pollyanna
We kids thought she was American
We claimed her as one of our own.
When she got older she began using her British accent.
And we could neither understand her
or love her half as much,
so disappointed were we.
Anyway, I was.
I do not even speak British English.

They Will Not Be Disappointed

They will not be disappointed
That dream of paradise on high
So sure of heaven above
When they die
But if there is no heaven
No second life to come
They will not care
They cannot care
There is no care
They will be gone
A rotting husk
Some scattered dust
Some whitening bones

Either way, they will not be disappointed when they die.

But if they’re resurrected
To sit in heaven’s light
 For ever and eternity
In gowns of purest white
Surrounded by God’s love
Playing harps
Will they be bored?
After a billion or two years?
How will they be –
The friends and family
They hope to see again?
Demented brains renewed?
Will unformed babes still mew?

They may be disappointed when they die.

Will spirit die with brain?
The software of that computer
The files we call the soul
Crumbling into mush
With the hardware
Hard disk wiped clean
For ever?
Nothing left
Nothing there to care
Completely gone
Just a rotting husk
Some scattered dust
Some whitening bones

Either way, they will not be disappointed when they die.

Churches promise heavenly life
For your immortal soul
They say on “God’s authority”
But who has seen his signature
Upon a legal scroll?
Its easy to give promises
When proof is not required
No one’s come back to say “Its true!
There’s glory here for me and you!”
Or -- “NO! - I’m nothing now at all
Just a rotting husk
Some scattered of dust
Some whitening bones”

Either way, they will not be disappointed when they die.
