Great poetry, Victor. How many children would have witness a scene like this.

The children are always shocked when this happens; for they almost always love their teacher. Great scenario for this Double Tetractys, Victor.

Ah yes the fear and uncertainty of welcoming a new teacher. What kind of person is he/she. What kind of teacher is he/she. Well done. God Bless my friend. JB

Kids get attached to the teacher--you captured their reaction well, Victor, when they face someone new. I know you will win.

This is done with perfection. All lines same length. Reminded me of school days, new teacher always uncomfortable. Take care Rama

A twist on this Norman Rockwell painting. That would be so sad for the class that meant to surprise their known teacher.
