Poetry Contest: A Three Word Poem
Sponsored by: Bobby May
Be diligent! Push toward your dreams
big and small, close and distant
for they are always reachable
They aren't illusions.
They're at the tip on your tongue,
begging to be tasted.
Slave on, day-in, day-out.
Slave on, until the day draws to a close.
Slave on until your dreams come true.
Work through your fevered brow
and aching bones, and you'll eventually
earn your place in the sun.

Everything is hard
For the slothful worker,
Ease for zealous peer.
Let me be diligent worker,
Right before your eyes, O my Lord;
For it's only You, dear Father
Who will give me the great reward.
Let me be resourceful servant,
O God Almighty in heaven;
I'll devise ways so important
In climbing the hill and mountain.
Just let me be able to meet
Situations that come my way;
O Lord, success is very sweet,
If I do my best every day.
Let me possess earnest effort
In serving You, dear Almighty;
You give the strength that I exert
In religious activity.
Let me be so assiduous,
To gain glorious achievement;
Yes, let me be industrious,
My Lord, let me be diligent.

Diligent While Being Resilient
Determined that we are always diligent;
Ability to bounce back and be resilient;
Have to hustle;
Flexible muscle;
Thank God to us Son our savior He sent.

Become More Diligent
Good poems will read and better mine will get
When great poets like you on Poetry Soup let
Become my great guide as I am growing
Ending up with amount of my poems over-flowing.
Not only that, a perfect example you set
For me to follow and even far better yet
With each of God's poems, I am impressed;
Love each one and constantly have caressed.
Which poem at Poetry Society should I read?
To fulfill a woeful want while meeting a need
And take heed when you are just like some
Whose ego and heads to high have become.
So my poems are thoughtful and never naughty
And hoping I haven't become too haughty;
Time quickly arrived swiftly passing by and went;
God, guide me in writing my poems more diligent.
The emblem on the pendant
was new to all of the professors
they sorted every detail
from end to end
they sampled and examined
until were lofted dumbfounded.
a miracle: something that
made all in attendance
stop to notice.
They looked one another in such
amazement that they were then
lost for words.
It appeared that who ever was
held the precious metal was entitled
to be the strongest man alive.
It was exclusive to gender.
The stone must be from space
it's vacco said one professor.
He can lift us all, without afford.
We entruest could understand
what we were seeing: we understood
the value of the item before
us. But "which then is neither" was mad
understandable
when the walls came crumbling down!
"My God: my God!" Professor Yelp, screamed
as a large super vessel came through
the wall. After moments a dark athletic
figure stood before us.
The "The stone" he demanded.
I looked at him and knew he was
Luthor! Lex as he introduced himself.
"I am without any need of inspiration I simply hunger"
"No side kicks, no villain in the making a sacrificial lamb
or a sidekick:I am, that I am!" "hand over the precious amulet!
He than turned a tuner on his waist and we woke up
minutes later and he , the amulet and the
vessel was gone
leaving a large hole in the wall.

POEM
JOY OF MOTHERHOOD
The joy of motherhood, a wondrous thing,
African mothers know the love it brings.
Through pain and struggle, they give birth anew,
Their strength and courage, a pure and true view.
With smiles that shine like the morning sun,
They tenderly care for each little one.
Their hearts, overflowing with boundless love,
A precious gift from the heavens above.
When their children stumble, they pick them up,
Encouraging them to reach for the top.
With wisdom and guidance, they gently lead,
African mothers, providing all they need.
From village to city, they diligently toil,
Their perseverance, a reflection of royalty.
Their beauty and grace, an inspiring sight,
African mothers, shining so bright.
So let us celebrate these queens of the land,
For their endless love and guiding hand.
Their hearts, pure; their souls, strong and true,
African mothers, we give thanks to you.

Be constantly occupied,
Never postpone the action;
Just follow the Lord God's guide,
Avoid procrastination.
Be regularly active
In fulfilling your duty;
Remain good and attractive
To the Lord God Almighty.
Be habitually vibrant
In the performance of task;
Be docile and compliant,
Answer the questions they ask.
Be a laborious worker,
Don't delay your awesome aim;
Never tarry nor linger,
Let your vigor stay aflame.
Be a sedulous person,
Wasting not the precious time;
Let your planned schedule go on,
Yes, regardless of the clime.

But we must plant our saplings;
We can build up luck.
