Best Diapers Poems
You moved on from diapers into pull-ups
You're now ready to use the toilet.
You are so excited to wear your training pants
with your Disney charcter on the front.
It's like big boy underwear but adsorbent like a diaper.
You soon have to potty and pull down your pull-up to tinkle.
After using the potty, you feel confident and finally feel like a big kid.
You may have had some accidents in your pull-up, some pee, some poop but you continue to learn to master the potty.
Now you're on your way to becoming a big kid.
The horse gave way to the car
The boat gave way to the plane
The quill gave way to the ballpoint pen
from Oklahoma to Ohio to Maine
Radio gave way to TV
TV to the Internet Sreen
Yet radio's making a comeback now
A pleasant surprise unforeseen
About one thing I'm sure, however
There's no going back to cloth diapers and pins
Like today, tomorrow belongs to disposables
~ So as to get rid of manure-eating grins
Theatrical's day that baby road into, their, ancient's town ?
Never afore had rayban's fallon clan beheld such a child they smiled
Tarzan be her stars these kongs about planet earth; surely, owners of it's hearth....
Girls combing their hair wetting love's lips while mister banana, blinked, his blurry's eyes.
Form:
an adult whose mind
has been soiled by the filth
he daily ingests
has no parent to change him
no cute child - he disgusts us
April 19, 2018 For John Lawless' Contest 'CHANGING THE MIND'S DIAPER'
The Doc said, "You need diapers, without ado!"
"But why?", he asked, it being hard to construe
"There are two reasons why,"
The Doc said with a sigh,
"The reasons are number one and number two!"
Diapers are very expensive now,
Still,
How to throw away,
Our lovely mothers and children?
As diapers!

The railway is long gone
In the 1960s, Apartheid ethnic townships were grown
Where I sit now, is one - "Coloured" Newtown -
But raping of nature as culture, as steamship-pasts
When transported folk (colonial) found new castes
Around the globe - nation, race, faith - when the sun
Never set on that Empire called England's Burden
Is what I deal with in Eastern Cape province
Where if U help clean, folk are not shamed
but incensed - they throw diaper bags over your fence!
II
So what can I do, in old Newtown? More than once
Forgive! Then leave some flith near one's own fence!
It seems our folk hate clean: they urinate, pollute, frown -
So clearing rocks, daily for 3 years, in what I own
From soil that has more pebbles & stone
Than what America calls good dirt (soil) ...
Allow love-ly weeds in my yard, bees come
As do indigo-hued wasps, butterflies galore
Some for my Marigolds; birds (Sapsuckers?) for Aloe
In my mind, I weave garlands for haters, mostly a neighbor
But garlanding reminds me of India, poor & beautiful
Where a billion folk coexist in nature: cobra, monkey, tiger -
As I garland Newtown, forgiving the ungrateful,
To each other and especially those soft & kind
I pick each bottle top & plastic (stored?) but milk cartons
Package gift of "potted" plants in such useful vehicles
Other containers recycled easily, and roofing tin
Where slow leaks ignored by landlord, make a pipeline
To my garden: rewarding me with peppers, herb, beans
Flowers, some true compliments, meditation, natural wins ....
Crumbs begrudged
Pigeons' alleys prowled
Broken glass and diapers
Sings the wise old owl
The New Year's in diapers
a broad smile on her face
Sipping champagne from pink booties
in her hair, Queen Anne's lace
Bald baby boy with the cigar
please remove your fedora
Those puff-clouds of smoke
ruin 2024's aura
I, Too, Sing America (and did so in my diapers!)
by Michael R. Burch
I, too, served my country,
first as a tyke, then as a toddler, later as a rambunctious boy,
growing up on military bases around the world,
making friends only to leave them,
saluting the flag through veils of tears,
time and time again ...
In defense of my country,
I too did my awesome duty –
cursing the Communists,
confronting Them in backyard battles where They slunk around disguised as my sniggling Sisters,
while always demonstrating the immense courage
to start my small life over and over again
whenever Uncle Sam called ...
Building and rebuilding my shattered psyche,
such as it was,
dealing with PTSD (preschool traumatic stress disorder)
without the adornments of medals, ribbons or epaulets,
serving without pay,
following my father’s gruffly barked orders,
however ill-advised ...
A true warrior!
Will you salute me?
I hope my “small” attempt at humor will help readers remember the sacrifices made by the spouses, children and extended families of our valiant servicemen and women. It was not easy making friends only to lose them, time and time again, as I grew up a “military brat” on American air bases around the globe. I really did make sacrifices for my country, while winning every battle against the “communists” in our back yard.

Please help me and poor, "Coloured" residents of Newtown, 5720, E.C. become "civilized" about basic environmental rules and practices. Government fails us at all levels. Yes, I am praying, talking to people here & churches, and also cleaning the street as I just did ( 8am, RSA TIME on Wednesday 2, February, 2022).
II
I wait, practice, set examples
Today I made video samples
My neighbor threw plastic & diapers
Right outside my fence, as do others
But this Brantley manages a food store
I politely said, if U trash here, do it far
"It's on the curb; I'm closest to such fare"
His retort speaks sadly about Mandela
And the laureate legacy with Dalai Lama:
Brantley said: "don't worry, City burns it."
I took a video of his trash, will report it
III
I also pray
A good day
For all neighbors
Failing in manners
Won't become trash
Hate, injustice, cash
He had a sweetheart who
he tried so hard to be a daddy to,
while she just wanted to mother to Him.
If they had had children
God knows
who would have looked after them;
probably their own parents,
while they both fought on
to be the top sexually charged
****-toy.
