On earthen shores are treasures

Of love, of joy, of life

                                A family's forever bond

                            The children, Husband, Wife

                           Treasure troves of memories

                          Within' these earthen treasuries

The blessed earthly life of years

And yet, can break, and rush to tears

The tears like diamonds fall like the sands

Lift them Father, within Your hands,

The broken hearts in sorrows weep

And in Your love, please. Father, keep

Those washed in tears sweet memories

                         Flows from earthen treasuries

Comfort the broken, draw close and near

                          Drying, every diamond tear

                                         Amen

Diamonds

Diamonds

We all have so many diamonds that we own,
but we think of them as glass or bits of stone.
We often sell them as cheap pieces of junk,
but yet always we think of them as unknown.

The diamonds are the youth, your health, and no pain.
Making love with your love, not much to complain.
A thousand laughs, a thousand ways to enjoy,
Getting old is the pain, no need to explain.

My days are darken since my love, she is gone.
The nightingales are calling me to hold on.
The light is leaving me keeping me in dark.
How much darkness there is, I’ll die before dawn.

What if life is a bowl, in there, full of pain?
The pain is there to drive you and me insane.
Remember when we were young bursting with life?
My face is wet, is it from tears or from rain?

There are only a few days that you are young,
on those days you believe that life is unsung.
To be young is a dream no youth ever knows.
No one is here to hear me what I have sung.

If you are golden and like gold full of lust,
Or maybe like the kings, you live and you must,
You may have all the things all big and all small,
At the end of the road, you will become dust.

Note: This poem is in the form of "Rubaiyat", it is the plural form of Rubai. Rubai is a quatrain with the rhyming of AABA. Each Rubai is a book by itself, it starts and ends within the quatrain, but when it's in a form of Rubaiyat, it follows the single theme with the same meter throughout. Poetrysoup has a good explanation of this format.

The painting is called " a reminder". It is acrylic on plywood.

Premium Member The Whispers of Diamonds and Moonstone

The whispers of diamonds and moonstone,
Starlight’s infusion of butterfly wings.
Flutter of lady’s eyelashes in Spring.
Lullaby murmuring - Jane’s not alone.

Sweet puff of air, rustle of lilting voice.
The whispers of diamonds and moonstone,
Shuffle from ear to ear, play telephone.
Host’s sunrise hair - the inkling day’s rejoice.

Sotto voce of floating flutes. Daydream
Of droplets barely spritzing window-zone.
The whispers of diamonds and moonstone,
Reflection of lone eyes, glimmering stream.

Undertone of Autumnal leaves, strewn, sown.
Olive, lemon, plum - radiant and hushed.
Silent lips of a second chance, not rushed -
The whispers of diamonds and moonstone,

A Sense of Diamonds

To hear me would sound like a symphony of octaves –
played all at once with concrete fingers
on diamond in the rough strings.

To see me…O’, to see me you would have to turn,
ever so slightly sideways, to ensure proper exposure –
one would not wish to either scar his or her retinas

with too much light; or murder their spirits with silky
raven on a moonless night, darkness. No, no. That
is far too much for the eyes to bear.

To touch me would be like dipping warm fingertips into
a pool of liquid mercury; like the sun’s rays beneath
the water, touching the ocean’s deepest silver depths.

The scent of me would bring your waiting nose to a
dichotomy of frenzy – one side wanton, and as eager
as a schoolboy with a playboy – but the other side!

The other nostril would shrivel under scrutiny; buckle under
the burning scent of disgust and unrefined madness, as if you
were smelling your own death, not the florid scent of Eden.

And to taste me…to taste me would leave the tongue
as twisted as a winter apple’s branches; as torn as a wool
tartan from the shoulder’s of a traitor; and as confused

as a year without Spring. To taste me would be like
tasting every dream you ever lusted, and every ending
that ever broke you – like sipping lemonade in the void.

But…if you are the one; the only one in the midst of all
this impenetrable chaos who can sense me, beyond
the average man’s malleable stone-walled borders –

than I bid you come. Test the likes of this diamond
against your rough-hewn backdrop – try me on for size;
see if you have the stones to not. Get. Cut.

After the flurry
My soul delights
Soft curves before me
Ice cream dreams
Shadows dancing and stretching
Defining infinite frozen sculptures

Ice diamonds
floating through the air
Glistening
Riding the shafts of pale sunlight
Landing on my nose
Blanketing my eyelashes
I capture them on my tongue
A frosty treat

A shiver up my spine
I wiggle my toes awake
Warmth in my belly caresses me

Surreal
This glorious tapestry before me
Silent beauty
Her dress of lace
Paper cutout high heels
A crown of icicles

Hugging myself now
A hole in my mitten
Allowing the magic
to seep into my heart

Sparkling snow crystals in a bright blue winter wonderland in your hand
A lovely thought about my pretty and beloved mother land

If you see angels in the snow you can remember the time with romance
Enjoy the tranquility descend while giving your childhood a second chance

Snow glistened and sparkled as the most beautiful diamonds at first glance
It was almost a little magic in what happened.... or was it romance

Childhood memories aroused when you see the rabbit tracks in the snow by chance
Oh, so rich I felt as a child in the clear, cold winter nights in snow crystals dance

Small red kids boots in sharp contrast to the white snow and a diamond remnants
Childrens eyes shining in delight and snow crystals sparkle of happiness evidence

Premium Member Diamonds Forever My Love In This World

Diamonds forever sparkle deeply as a treasured jewel
Dawning and revealing pure in a fresh breath of light
Shining on warm gentle bonds inside one’s very heart

Tears just beating drums with sounds splashing gently
Young and beautiful as with a coldness of clouds above
Golden shattering silver reflections in a most azure sky

Falling rain inside believing in a dream of pure redemption
Sadness looms heavy in a kingdom of one-eyed dwarfs
Who live daily without hope, love, and surcease of sorrow

Waterfalls down over a fountain of divine beauty in a land
Of magical fairies imbued with supernatural powers of good
Bringing healing to those afflicted and ignored by humans

Everlasting happiness inside beauty cries joy and happiness
For joy will skip in every single beat of a person’s heart and
Happiness abounds with naked electric and alchemic powers

And not to have love is completely devastating to one’s soul
For without it men and women are robbed of happiness and
Miss the rapture and joy coming from shared emotions pure

Beauty and ugliness, hope and despair, joy and sadness
Pervade the human endeavor in pairs of obvious dichotomy
Reflecting warm and cold winds of continuous contradiction

Dreams My Love are a way to play on the better nature of
Our human psyche as we all seek to find calmer waterfalls
With magical properties and reflections to make us all one

Diamonds Forever My Love brings smiles and fulfillment in this
World and in our personal world too with each of us struggling
For meaning, love, hope, desire, and happiness here on Earth

A new tomorrow rises from the ashes of the Phoenix as it again
Takes its flight high in the sky making our imaginations soar in
Finding those warm gentle bonds inside our hearts making us one

Premium Member Ashes To Diamonds

Tucked away high in the alps
There is a company that turns
ashes into diamonds, it is akin
to the children's story of Rumpelstiltskin,
who could turn straw into gold......
This story is about the soul

    Memorial diamonds they are called
 To remember the dearly departed
   It's your loved ones ashes
 that they turn into gems!
    The jewels of the soul

 Now your loved one,
    though gone, will shine bright
 Like precious gems forevermore.....
    Journey of the soul

 So dry your tears
   Have no fear
 Your loved ones live on

      Transformed in the afterlife
       Into something so precious

                     Diamonds!

Diamonds of Inspiration

Those eyes of yours
Holding a bunch of blue sky
Have been inspiring me lifelong
To seek rhyme and song
In turbulence
A Buddha like balance

Then you, the sceptic
Always asking
'What is your view?'
Almost like Socrates
Never readily conforming to
Any set thesis
Would open a sky
Asking why this
Why not that
To discover a new door to stand at
Thus you wanted to groom us:
'Cogito ergo sum'
I think, therefore I am
Relaxing my diaphragm
And now in the twilight I look at
My too many windows to look out
For a new sprout
I thank you there
Among the twinkling stars

And you young girl
How soft suave but yet straight
Is your speech
While we screech at a little conflict
Raising ugly forms
Ignoring norms of civilization
You are always low but firm
Polite but powerful
I try to be like you
In my communications
In interrelations
A grandfather trying to emulate a granddaughter
Life is a great assorter

And there you
The oranges in the tree
The beauty spree
The life and lyre free
Have inspired me
To stay happy
Even in despondency

Then you
The beggar in the street
A lesson for survival
Never say yes to defeat
You have to first sleep and eat
Then towards other vitals

You the whore
Drifting from shore to shore
Embracing sort of death
For the sake of life
Tiny shines of strife

Where ever you look at life
With a childlike interrogation
With a touch of admiration
Will come across
In a session
Diamonds of inspiration

Premium Member Diamonds In Your Eyes

Let me dance your tune, soak our wine
Afloat on irises divine,
From glint of midnight I believe
In charms you bring, and charms you leave,

Making me gentle everyday
Through fire and rain, time lifts the way,
While carats of eyes glow about
A diamond’s remnants, no doubt.

For never have I felt this flight
When dawn wakes my gaze with delight,
Then, clutch my hands on mystic trips
Down rivers shifting moon’s eclipse;

That open light with breaths aglow
And glitter tide’s sails made to row;
Deeper the years; warmer your face
To relish clasps of soft embrace.

Premium Member Jeweled Wonders To Behold

Atop a walnut table with ebonised legs
Sat a Victorian brooch, white and red.
She wore diamonds and rubies brilliant and bright,
That sparkled within all sources of light.
Bejeweled little butterfly trimmed in gold,
A wonder you are for the eye to behold.
"Am I not beautiful?" inquired the dragonfly,
from its perch on an occasional table nearby.
Dressed in diamonds, rubies, and mounted on gold,
With enameled wing and tail, a dazzling bouton pearl...
It too was a wonder for the eye to behold.
"What about me!" shouted a diamond pendant watch.
"And me!" shouted a brooch with a white paste heart.
"What about me?" inquired a flower, art nouveau...
"Enough! shouted a disgruntled Cameo,
dressed in pearls, diamonds, rubies, and gold.
"We all are wonders to behold!"

Premium Member Diamonds From the Sky

He looks of far and in between
White hair with diamonds from the sky
A wood of wiry glow around
Expressive fingers, braiding braids
Forgotten strands of gold-spun hair
His feet swept pebbles in the surf
Small indentations filled with silt
With every look I hoped to see
His eyes on me with how I wished
To will his want to be for me
Be loved without a shred of doubt
To have his golden eyes on me
To magic shameful into proud

Blue Diamonds

Eyes like new diamonds
Blue diamonds
Heart beat skips away
Centuries of age
Wisdom on each turned page
Scribbled in columns
And etched into stars
A glance into your soul
A fraction of my heart

In your eyes I see pain
Ocean waves that wash it away
Hidden behind an ice age
You trap your heart within a cage
Oh how I know those eyes
I could swear I've seen them in another life
Friend or lover, Family or Foe
I let the question wander
Though I doubt we will ever know

How the light sparkles when you smile
Your eyes brighten up
Galaxies blooming in dancing lights
But you try to shut them out
Were you the angel you once claimed to me
A heart to heart conversation held in secrecy
Arch Angel - eyes that make up the atoms of the sky
Will I meet you if once again I die
Dive down into the thrashing waves
Last time it was an end to my days
Blue diamonds
New diamonds the color of your eyes
