Landscapes exposing nature’s grandeur
mountain ranges inspire great trip.
Cordilleras of welcoming marvels
propel refreshing ascent
amidst pure verdant sights.
Those delight me, the Earth’s firmament
while surveying the pine trees steadfastly queueing along hills
offering shade to blossoming lilies
with cabbage roses wondrously radiant…
oh, inviting faith-strengthening treks
driven by faithful stewardship with reaching-out pursuits
toward triumphant spiritual peaks----
Today’s awesome focus points me toward the third heavens*
as I hover above this certain magnificent vista**
designed by the sovereign Creator ---
giant mounds sprawling
cloudy crests and pinnacles ~
engraved terraces
*Hebrews 8:1 …We have such an high priest, who is set on the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens.

Put a w at the end of dough
D to b and you will have a bow
Since I have no idea what I try to do
A little shape in the middle for you
Start with it deep - End with it high
Find the sweet spot - And reach the sky
Dough on the bottom - Dough on the top
Master the scale the Dough doesn’t stop
The inventor of Solfege don’t you know
Is a beautiful person with a delightful soul
For Izzy's contest though I have no
idea at all if this is even in the ball
park at all.
The high hills hummed in praise of their Creator,
As we recklessly rushed down all the rough rocks,
Careful not to tumble down the treacherous
Uneven paths that led to the vast valley.
Here and there were fruitful farms, corn growing tall.
Whilst a cacophony of crows, hens and geese
Filled the air contrasting with passeri and larks,
Practicing their mellow melodious songs.
We found a tavern, delicious spicy food
That soon greeted us as we entered and met
The few travellers that revelled in that place
Which was so warm that we ate our fill with grace.
We marked the superb place on our tattered maps,
Sure to visit the homely tavern again.
FICTION (there are no real hills in Malta)
Marvelous! Wonderful! Delightful!
These words enchant the heart
but haunt the mind
The truth about them is quite unkind
They mean something to no one
nothing to everyone
No matter their intrinsic appeal
sans detail to earn their repeal
their exuberance mocking, unreal
(D)ashing looks cast with clear vision
(E)njoyment of stories, bringing smiles
(L)aughter creating enlightment
(I)gniting a connection, out of this world
(G)iving attention that matters
(H)eartfelt support where it counts
(T)ime, a valuable shining gem
(F)ull of pleasant things shared together
(U)niting makes it all complete
(L)ove grows in these special places to meet

Waltz me gently through morn’s embrace
The kettle chimes birdsongs enthrall
As rails of dew entwine like lace--
Waltz me gently through morn’s embrace:
Vibrant this heart flowing with grace
To taste new charms of heaven’s sprawl--
Waltz me gently through morn’s embrace
The kettle chimes birdsongs enthrall !
For Brian Strand
Flamboyant search for a woman who had lost her mind.
Luckily she was outrageous and quite easy to find.
Her rainbow hair and the braided elephant she rode
Were clues easily deciphered, faster than Morse code.
She wore a turquoise hat, with a noisy penguin on the top.
She shopped at every store, and bought every broom and mop.
She was loud and happy, and she sang and danced pure joy.
She was amazing and funny, and she delighted every girl and boy.
They said she was crazy, the naysayers, the means, and the moody.
She was the happiest being in the village, our own delight, Miss Toody.
She was funny and cheerful, and made everybody have a happier day.
We captured her daily, but every night, we let her squirrel herself away.
If this is a woman who has lost her mind
Then more of us need to, for she was truly always kind.
If this is a woman who needs to be put in a cage,
Put me in with her, for to me she is all of the rage.

5 Haikus! Hope this one's a "delightful" treat!:
Gracious evermore
Thinking of you – a delight!
Your spirits take wing
Shine on, you light bulb!
Thinking of you – a blessing!
Grow, dear beloved!! (Let your light shine on us all)
I place daffodils
On your tombstone cheerfully . . .
Vibes crawl down my spine
Sleep well, my angel
Thinking that you’re a prized gift!
You’re a blissful bloom
Precious as ever,
Thinking of you brings back tears –
Tears of joy and grief
A sweet disorder in the dress kindles
In clothes a wantonness; a stole about
The shoulders thrown, a fine distraction; an
ErrIng Lace, which here and there enthralls the
Crimson Vest; a cuff neglectful, ribbons
Flow confusedly: a winning wave (note)
In the tempestuous petticoat: a
Careless shoe-string, in whose tie I see a
Wild civility: does more bewitch me,
Than Art when too precise in ev'ry part.
If your environment is less than delightful....you're in the wrong environment....
Delightful day
Excitement exudes
Light lessons
Inherit inspiration
Godly good
Harmonious house
Tear-free touch
Fancy free

Love lives!
one with the ocean
the ocean is one with me
delightful indeed
Sipping on my coffee on this first day of May,
With the sun shining brightly, finally on display,
A movement of a branch so close to my window pane,
Caught my eye suddenly to, my attention, gain.
I moved closer to the window to get a better look,
And I was treated to a scene in God's Coloring Book.
O such a treat on this morning to begin my day.
They don't come much better no matter what they say.
Two birds were at play, were taking center stage,
Their delightful antics my awe they did engage.
They had come to my window to perform their little skit
And I was with pleasure watching every little bit.
Their play wasn't long but it was surely sweet
As ma and pa cardinal danced upon their winged feet.
It was crystal clear this happy, wedded pair
Was showing off their Love in the crisp, morning air.
They touched their beaks together in a gentle, birdie kiss.
Then he bowed to his lady, a gentleman and void of remiss.
As he performed for her with a flirty, chirping sound
He flitted all about her, up and down, around.
She took it all in as she turned, watching every move
And I think I even saw her nod as though she did approve.
When his performance was over, he came next to her to sit.
It was just a break before scene two of their little skit.
Next, a chase began as from branch to branch they flew,
Like a game of tag to see just who could catch who.
Although, pa cardinal seemed to do the most chasing,
Ma obviously was letting him for some winged embracing.
All too soon their show closed with no drawing of a curtain,
For they perched themselves briefly and I am quite certain,
They each took a bow to themselves and then bowed to me
And off they flew away together to where I couldn't see.
Though my coffee'd become chilled, I took some more sips.
I felt blessed watching one of nature's unrehearsed clips.
Although a bit sad now, the birdie show over,
I felt like a bunny who had just enjoyed clover.

DELIGHTFUL DEFENSE
my girl talked too much
so I kissed her ruby lips
the silence was grand
………………………………………………
This Haiku was inspired by the great old, depression-day, chuckle – “She wouldn’t kiss me in
the canoe, so I paddled her back.”
The heart that melt in a distance
The heart that shows its weaknesses in public
It is easily surrenders to what has defeated it
The sound of poetic thing that coughs out the great mentality to wash away the dry and thirsty feelings of the lost tigers
A poet that drains out the liquid of the fruitful juice that counts for those who are caught in thirst
Denial can be printed in big letters on their faces.
As their craving continue to strangle their desire
Their ears still remains so wide open to listen to the sound of her sweetest melody
She is nothing but the princess that rings the bell that wakes up the sleepy and hungry Lions of the universe to recognize her beauty
The sound of drum that makes the stars to fall down and form a milky way that brings back the true shape of the stolen heart
Twinkling so bright inside the silent stream of the waterfall just to call attention of those who ignore her
The champagne that no man is expected to refuse but willing to settle for at least a small drop of it
Beautiful sinorita! The blossom of the Caribbean!
The ocean of Atlantic that drifts away hearts that desire to sip from the cup of true love.
So rare like a diamond that troubles the minds of professional surveyors.
Her sweet smile pours millions drops of tears from those who gets easily emotional
She is the Queen of the royal house where maids are treated with respect just to honour her sensational beauty
Her majestic smile shows nothing but nobility and love of beautiful creature
Her eyes are filled with blazing fire that lightens up the dark portion of the carnival places where gentlemen get caught in the middle
She honours nothing but her worth that work her way to catch nothing but her match
Keep pride the prize of your size but hide the vibe of your true ride royal princess!
Kings and princes of this planet salute your true beauty!
