Premium Member Winter's Afterglow
stars twinkled brilliantly
against majestic snow-capped mountains,
delicate pure white flakes danced;
swirling, twirling, rhythmically.

she stood, nose pressed tightly
against the window pane; gazing in awe
at the magic the snowflakes created;
as tears spill from her emerald green eyes.

the cabin is warm, radiating a comforting glow
a fresh pine scent lightly...

Premium Member Gnarled Shadows
Through shadowed trails beneath the moon’s cold stare.
Its Amber gaze: a burden hard to bear.
This feathered prize found peace in my gut
No slumber dreamt; no answer could I get.

Eurasian owl with orbs of liquid flame

Premium Member Intimate Truth
She walks with dreams, deep passions woo,
Into euphoric ambience of a moonlit night
Carrying sweet secret, so intimate and true,
Sprouting in her womb blossoms of delight.

Though they are together, he feels all alone,
Trapped in turbulence of memories unkind,
Nothing she can say would emotions atone
Grief of matrimony...

Book: Radiant Verses: A Journey Through Inspiring Poetry

Eat Pray Love
On the edge
of the evacuation zone
Miyuki holds her daughter
tip-toeing in pink sneakers
her small hands fragile
blossoms opening
to the man with the beeping wand

They were outside in the karesansui
washing and raking
rocks, when the school
heaved, convulsed
then pressed into silence
one-hundred-and-seven...

Premium Member The Prime of Life
I was in the prime of my life on paper, I had
a lot to live for.

I came from a loving family, that were educated
I myself graduated with honors from Harvard.

I had an amazing fiance that I adored very
much,

However I was a phenomenal actress that
was...

Premium Member What Is Love
Beginning with what it is not
Being certainly not transience we can slot

Calling a spade a spade
Love not an exchange or trade
‘I love you provided you reciprocate’
‘If your look is not endearing, my love will abate’

Moving deeper
We see ourselves forgiving the ‘sinner’
Useful no doubt for self...

Oh, My Dear Walter, how your words have slayed
Humbled me, broken me, molded, remade

To taste of your world, see above or below it
          Wit of a...

There's nothing we can do, the doctor said!
     It was December, nineteen-seventy.
At once, those words exploded in my head
and pierced my heart- which broke in agony.

How could this be- she's much too young to die

The year dear Callie - my best cat ever - fell victim to cancer,
she had lived 18 wonderful years
as queen of our house, for sweetly did that calico rule our hearts.
I’d realized too late her decline, so she couldn’t be saved.
  Selfishly I did...

Thank you for your faith
In the country you so love
That you’d offer up your life
In a cataclysmic strife.
Thank you for your courage
Although you shook inside.
You did all that was needed
No matter what the price.
The noise of guns and mortar
Convulsed the fetid air
You saw beloved comrades
Lie...

Midnight Black
MIDNIGHT BLACK

No, I’m not -A racist of sorts, I mean
But detest I do, the black of midnight scene
Purple ,that smirk’d a wicked sheen,
groped, wiggled, with cold fingers keen.

Palled by a convulsed face wretched in pain
viscous slime ,red on bruised mane
Daggers sculpted...

Instead of the phrase, “brain freeze” at times we avow
Blurted out, “freezer burn” pointing between my brows
Wife Cathie took a fit
Convulsed quite a bit
Finally got control before the neighbours she aroused

Roto Rooter
waved away from certain topics
Yolanda and her Singing Saw blade
captured the intellectual integrity
of a generation in readjustment
freedom springs only from freedom kids
so lock your shields and set your pikes
and whatever else unmasks the poseurs
making mischief upon civilization
with zero police penetration
weighed and calibrated by the

Rainbow coloured camouflage

The rainbow whispered “look at me I am a cameo in abused disguise”.
"You are a beautiful mean to an end, a pot of gold awaiting where you
touch the horizon, elusive no doubt but tangible in dreams and in wishes”.

‘Faruq’ true to his name,...
