Best Convolution Poems

Essence of Being

My toes squirm
like fat little worms
through this moist soil
they let go of their convolution;
disconnect from the brain that tells them
each day
what they are
and are not.
Here they are just so.

My hands grab
like the beaks of birds
these golden blades of grass
let go of the rocks they carry;
wipe clean the slate of crumbs they leave
each day
their way home
to evidence –
now left just so.

My lungs burn with life
a crisp morning air
razors through them
ecstatically.

My eyes caress such
fine tendrils of light
called dusk and dawn and
mystery.

My ears collect an orchestra
of locust song and wood
bursting forth in a crackling
warmth.

My mouth kisses a
saturated breeze impregnated
with ocean and pine and flirtatious
berries.

Their juices stain my chin.
These feelings stain my skin.
And draw out pricks
from parched follicles
with neural fingers
that trail over
and into
and through
my being

“this is it”

My breath whispers carelessly
in an ice-shackled cloud
that veils my face
with its truth.
A maternal gesture
of nature
towards itself.
For it is I
and I surrender
to this sensory onslaught.

“this is it”

Being alive is a wondrous
wondrous
thing.

We all look the same sitting on the toilet
We all look the same sitting in traffic
Nevertheless is nevertheless does
Just because you are on a diet doesn't mean you can't look at the Menu
100% of anything is junk
I am impatient with stupidity
Counter intuitive is counter productive
No one can make u feel inferior without your consent
There are too many people in the world
Wisdom is the practical application of knowledge
Evolution through revolution negating convolution

Some are mine, some are not,
but a cerebral cord, oh yes, they should rought
that full cranial awareness is still upward thinking,
but cranial farts of the masses are snot.
Get with the program get out of your head
and see life's counterparts not measured in dread.
Do something different, skip a life automatic
get off your ass u me and live life pragmatic.
Forego social domestication that has shaped our existenance
and reach beyond to a place of resistance
be who you want to be what you are to be,
and don't settle for less F, the powers at Be.

Premium Member Three Sister Owls

Last night I asked my sisters
Why they were not hooting
Little owl said no one missed her
She would hoot when she so suited

Middle owl asked why did I care
Hooting is not what it used to be
Go 'google' hooters if you dare
For more than you ever want to see

'Hoot hoot hooray,' I hooted proudly
Wise owl like me knows to overlook
I will try to hoot quite loudly
And follow directions in the owl book

I helped little sister build a warm nest
Assured her everything would be 'owl' right
Middle sister decided it would be best
If we showed 'whoo' we are tonight

Darkness falls, noise is clearer
An incessant convolution of forest sounds
Each in a place where all can see her
Three sister owls hooting upside down

I Stand Corrected

Ah yes, they were right all along
I’m speaking of human evolution.
Sorry folks. In the past I was wrong.
Those facts were a convolution.

For saying in the past,
that evolution could not cross a class,
I certainly apologize.
That was not wise.

This newly found epiphany
causes my soul to be sickly.
I’ve been watching it all along
And it happened so quickly!

The theory was simply convoluted.
My thoughts had to be rerouted.
In the few years that have passed
I see a donkey can become an ass!

But as far as a class unable to be crossed
Apparently that theory there is lost.

Because it’s so dam simple
like the nose under the pimple..
It’s happening in reverse,
which is the same only worse.

I see by the facts of our civilization destruction,
the religious rights and common sense abduction,
that Asses have indeed evolved from the donkeys,
And thoughtless humans are evolving into monkeys.

Written to dishonor the recent Court decision to nullify the rights
guaranteed in the constitution and the Bill of Rights by reengineering the words to fit the unfit agenda of the current administration as has already been done with the reengineering of the words so successfully from “murder” to “abortion” . As the slippery slope continues….

Ah Yes, Do You Perhaps Remember

Ah yes, do you remember

The reasons for the American revolution?
Wasn’t one because of religious persecution?
How about morals before their convolution?
When presidents upheld the constitution?

When the amendments
weren’t pretendments ?

And the system of checks and balances soared?
When hating evil was not untoward?
Little babies were welcomed and adored?
Instead of being killed and abhorred?

Ah yes can you remember a True loving God?
Before liberal factions buried Him under sod?
When living wasn’t all in an Ipod?
Children spoiled by sparing the rod?

What life was before this slippery slope?
when doors were unlocked and life held hope?
Will it ever be that way again?
If without God,…. then …When?

Premium Member Deja Vu

Is time the greatest illusion
I’m not waiting around to see
        Deja vu causes confusion
           so many echos from eternity

         My birth a mere occlusion
from a past life I broke free
         Deja vu works in collusion
             with most supreme entities

         Previous cycles of allusion
              came pouring back to me
         Deja vu and mass delusion
              nervous breakdown maybe

         Since my latest convolution
visions show where I must be
         Inside a mental institution
a revelation No! you all agree

A Piece of Cake

I'm sipping a cup of warm tea while I read, and
it occurs to me how simple and good some
things can be without a convolution of extra

ingredients supposedly to make it “better,”
which kind of says something about life, too,
but then it's time for dinner and afterward

I'm eating a small piece of cake for dessert
and I'm slowly submerging myself in the
sweetness of its frosting and I remember

a time long ago in Las Vegas when you were
only four months old and I gave you some of
my soda, your first taste of sugar,

and how your face lit up,
and the simpleness of your smile,
and how that smile never left you,

and I'm thinking, Yep, that was a good day.

Who can solve Math word problems and equations?
What are the simplest and best solutions?
When life gets tough and you’re in great confusion,
Where are your patience and determination?
Why not make life so easy at state of convolution?

Clawing For Purchase On the Impossible

Expectantly through the dingy window I gape
Lucid for now but only flickering
Waiting not so patiently, coveting escape
Reflecting on the spectral fervent whisperings

Drawn deeper into the haunted labyrinth
Crushed by the ache of this place
Catching fleeting images...a list of failed intents
Heavy darkness; I cannot breathe within this dying space

Floating slowly through the murk
Like the ghostly answer in an eight ball
Silently pondering every little quirk
Forced into silence by a sudden free-fall

Strobe-light convolution as I twist and writhe
The dingy window my only hope
But insanity knows not of this: refuses to recognize
Through sickly illumination.....now I see the scope

The nature and flow of destruction
Like lava beds ebbing slowly through a dying wood
My heart races with unwelcome knowledge and recognition
…There is no way out because this dingy window is my
prison-cell view to the normal world

Premium Member Barbara Graham

It is the third of June at San Quentin in 1955.
A death row inmate will soon no longer be alive.
She has been dubbed “Bloody Babs” by the local press.
Barbara Graham is a convicted murderess.
For killing widow Mabel Monohan, she will pay.
Barbara is sentenced to die in the gas chamber today.

Barbara’s young life experienced many a convolution.
She had been in and out of jails for petty crimes and prostitution.
Never experiencing a proper upbringing in a peaceable home;
between California and Nevada, Barbara would aimlessly roam.
With two other men, into Mrs. Monohan’s house she would go.
Reportedly, the victim’s skull was cracked as she was smothered with a pillow.

Graham was executed after a second stay.
“Good people are always so sure they’re right” was the last thing she would say.

Inspired by the 1958 film “I Want to Live”
I thank wikipedia.org online encyclopedia for information I obtained to write this poem.

The Promise I Plan To Break

I have walked the Earth and now my path tapers,
twisted ambivalence has me dancing on the razor,
contamination seeps through every reinforced layer,
I aim at two protectors but which one is the traitor?

Already exhausted, no finish line to this race.
From my sincere change I feel myself disengage.
Jingling in my pocket the keys to this cage,
am I surrendering or is it war that I wage?

My patience is pumping on a single cylinder,
once sacred vows now just repetitive literature,
once sweet purity has turned to vinegar,
once felt liberty has left me a prisoner.

Two-faced allegiance to Mickey Mouse revolutions,
so I discard my armor and dive into their solutions.
Clarity blurs and thin convictions turn translucent,
I writhe in arrogance to reduce wholesome convolution.

Forfeited composure, how could I glorify these nights?
With no more standards to lower I lose sight of my plight,
I reach over my shoulder and stick in the knife,
my blood runs colder as I get closer to the afterlife.

Foundations once solid now expelled as vomit,
no more strain to change or force to be honest,
my heart shudders with disgrace as I break this promise.
Now I cower to a place where the broken are flawless,

circling the drain...finally, I'm home again.

The Road of Casualty

I fall into unknown reasons
I lay wanting,needing
Convolution,soul sucked dry
Aphasia,alone within
A battered shell,augmental decay
Life slowly passes away
Debilitated to my dismay
An accidental tragedy has
lost the lives of many
Contumaciosly
The musk from last nights indulgence
still lingers and it accuses me
I have debased the family tree
Through my lost cognizance
The pain others must breath
Censoring all relations
A dissaproval of my being
The air as thick as sulpher
A cyanosis of the soul
I'm left alive to face it all
Retribution paid in full!!!

Devil Time

Time is -
the healer and stealer of all things.

You heal my wounds yet leave the scar
as a remembrance
lest I forget
from whence you came

You took the truth of a promise
and made it a victim of convolution,
sucked into the vortex
of your privilege to shift
the verity of a promise as it stood.
Then.

Blurred images, softened corners
of spiky slashes, bleeding lashes
buffered now by your passage

The anguish and purity of youth rejoices
while you ravage the heart
yet leave undefiled the flawless skin
--- clarity of tempered sight

Cannot the body match the glory of the mind
in its growth and empathy for what is learned?
Are withered limb and furrowed brow the price for the age of reason?
A fair exchange you say
for you need not beauty nor youth to meet the end of days

Devil time, what good are you?
For I am not yet finished with this horror of a life

Higher Knowledge

I yearn for higher knowledge will you can be my institution.
Engrave all of your convictions into my constitution.
Rearrange my thoughts and eliminate my confusion.
See I don’t want all the answers I just need some solutions.
So settle my hazy mind like you’re clearing pollution
Correct the complications, so there will be no convolution
Tell me your prophecies; draw me to your conclusions
Distinguish fact from fiction, correct all of my delusions
Don’t need these uncertainties, give me your absolution
Let me journey through your mind seek your thoughts in full seclusion
I’ll preform Lyrical osmosis, absorb your mental evolution
Generate my understanding, be my insight’s revolution
Convert my philosophies and you can prove the unproven

Premium Member Evolution Phooey

What caused a social convolution
was Darwin’s Theory of Evolution.
This did not cause much mirth.
It radically changed the history of the earth.
He said any *****sapiens I can see
are descended from the gorilla and the monkey.
*****sapiens includes you and me.
Anyone who says I come from a primate class
is going to get a good swift kick in the ass.
