Listen you poor, puny, proud black child
Standing on street corners and living in poverty.
Listen you educated, sophisticated woman and man
Seeking prosperity in this American society.
Don’t you know: Chains set us free?
Listen to this black sister’s voice
People of color everywhere.
It’s time you realized, our release from oppression
Came only through the power of prayer.
From Africa our strong-willed ancestors
Brought rhythm, song and dance.
Such gifts lifted wounded spirits
And despite heavy burdens, they sought to advance.
In bondage slaves cried out to God
Just like the Israelites did in Egypt long ago.
The heavier the chains, the more fervent the prayers
Till finally God commanded, “Let My people go!”
Don’t you know: Chains set us free?
Slave ships delivered chained bodies
Of a people who were born free
Growing from belief in native religions
to belief in Jesus
They obeyed the LORD who urged,
“Come unto me.”
“Repent black child, come back to me,”
Is Jesus, the Savior’s cry,
“I am the Lord and I change not,
On me you can still rely.
“Call to me and I will answer you,
And set you free once more.
Trust me, wait patiently, and remember,
From bondage to freedom, I, Alone, Am the Door.”
You must never forget black child: Chains set us free.
I lost faith in Christianity
Going to church all the time is not for me
People go to church n still act the same
People go to church and don’t change
People go to church just for show
People go to the club and get high like nobody know
People are so phony
People smile in your face
Act like you friend
But really they be hatin
And hope to never see you again
I don’t need to go to church to serve and pray
I Pray and serve God by myself every day
I feel more comfortable praising God at home
I can be myself and praise him alone
Jesus has been there for me
Especially when I call his name
When I have my sleep paralysis
I call Jesus name
Fear is gone
Atmosphere change
That evil voice is no longer there
I feel God’s Love everywhere
I heard Paul saying it’s going to be ok
And I feel good for the rest of the day
I cant even remember the last time even went to church
I pray to God, He free me
No pain no hurt
But Love
Forgiveness
No anger
Mercy
With him who can be against me
The highest, angels, my spiritual family
He don’t judge you
He loves you
That’s what I believe
I’m just not into religion
Especially Christianity
(Paul is real. Jesus is real. They may go by other names but they are real)
pretty pickle
by Michael R. Burch
u’d blaspheme if u could
because ur God’s no good,
but of course u cant:
ur a lowly ant
(or so u were told by a Hierophant).
Pour your heart into a prayer,
Praising Jesus – whose always there.
Lift your eyes to heaven, shouting,
His love will keep your soul from doubting.
Pour your light across the earth,
Rousing wonder brought by Jesus’ birth.
Breath joy into the skies with its laughing sun,
Considering this love meant for everyone!
Pour your song into a friend,
Assuring a bond that will never end.
Risk getting hurt by the faded night,
Listen to the adoring moon burning so bright.
Pour your faith into the One who saves,
Because of Him, we’ll all rise from our graves.
Believe in the miracle of His liberation,
He is the rock – the most beautiful foundation!
Pour your kindness into those in need,
It’s all about Jesus – every single good deed.
Know that with Him, there is always hope,
Without Him beside you, there is no way to cope.
Pour your blessings on those who know Him,
The reason for our most incredible hymn.
Faded beyond the shadows, glistening intently,
There is a promise, a wisdom sighing gently.
Pour your life into seeing souls saved,
Even though not all of us are well behaved…
Despite our sins – the failures and flaws,
Seeing sinners saved should be the Christian’s cause!

Old Testament
I am a giver not a taker.
I am a lover not a hater.
I excite not incite.
I bring courage to the fight.
When you down, I’ll help you up.
Sadness is just moving on to the next level.
I am pleasure not pain.
I bring ecstasy to the insane.
I ignite emotions to empower.
I will inform a giaour.
When there are questions, I will educate.
Unbelievers will become profound in faith.
In heaven, I reside.
I am paradise to the mind.
I delight and inspire.
Via prayer, you can feel my vibes.
When you down, I will uplifted.
Therefore, bring your burdens unto me.
I am the thrill to seekers.
I am insight to disbelievers.
I am the throne of greatness.
I am the tone of innateness.
Inner core I afford.
I am the omnipotent.
I am the father of Jesus Christ Lord.
I am The Almighty God.
Say Amen!

Penned on October 21, 2014!
October approaches with sharp bursting color
that awes senses with majesty.
Cool winds blow with vitality
and I become God’s most reverent extoller.
October conducts a symphony of feeling
that uplifts and inspires my heart.
I implore my soul to impart
my full obedience in prayerful kneeling.
October caresses the spirit and essence
of my being, and I am humbled.
From earthly existence tumbled
a moment, I humbly bow in acquiescence.
October promises the coming of the harvest
that this year’s scattered sowing brings.
The worker’s voice in the field sings
impassioned praises to Him for this bounty blessed.
My heart is filled with the miracle of it all,
and the divine revelation
that I am of His creation.
I pray I transform and worthy of His Last Call.
Erin go Bragh
We celebrate Saint Patrick.
He brought Christianity.
The patron saint of Ireland.
Bake soda bread and wear green today.

Happy Saint Patrick’s Day Everyone!
*Saint Patrick, who lived during the fifth century, is the patron saint of Ireland and its national apostle. Born in Roman Britain, he was kidnapped and brought to Ireland as a slave at the age of 16. He later escaped, but returned to Ireland and was credited with bringing Christianity to its people.
*Erin go Bragh sometimes Erin go Braugh, is the anglicisation of an Irish language phrase, Éirinn go Brách, and is used to express allegiance to Ireland. It is most often translated as "Ireland Forever."[
*The St. Patrick's Day tradition was popularized by Irish immigrants in the United States, who believed that wearing green made them invisible to leprechauns—the classic fairy creatures who pinch anyone they can see.
Burned edge of faith
Forgotten cross and prayers
Mere shadow of God?
We are followers of Christ, thus the Christianity
Some people count it as insanity
But we know that it’s completely true
And we start following it since our youth
We’re supposed to be different from others
And we’re commanded to love our brothers
Coz if you’re living your life
You better live it for Christ
Coz He’s the one who paid the price
And He’s the way, the truth and the life
The Bible is vivid and clear
It says that in the twinkling of an eye we’ll disappear
And be with Him for eternity
So as Christians we should try to be,
Witnesses to the world
Reach out the message to every boy and girl
So when He comes to take us home with Him
The entire world could be free of sin
Two Views on Christianity
There is no possibility of God,
You would have to be extremely foolish to think,
That it was in anyway feasible,
For science not to provide a definitive answer,
We know all about evolution,
We have the high pope of the God Delusion,
We can measure back to when time began,
When our Universe started, in one Big Bang,
These religions just create division,
Its foolish to think things such as,
Christ was the divine son of God,
Christ died to offer us all hope,
Can you even begin to imagine,
How difficult it is to see any relevance,
Atheism offers this practical solution,
We just are born to live then die,
There is no reason to ponder our why,
There's no need for spirituality,
You'd have to be foolish to believe!
Now read it in reverse!

Just the other day,
As I strolled down the walkway
Seeing the multitude on the highway
My thoughts went to Christ, the way
Who came to put us in Heaven’s way
Yes, I thought about creation day
How God made us in His own way
Yet gave us a leeway
Which we foolishly gave away
Still he opened wide the escape way
I think of what he does everyday
In everything, showing us the way
Leading us on the shown way
Staying by us on the same way
And giving us grace through the way
“The care he shows to me everyday”
I thought, as I ambled down the passageway
Can I forget in anyway?
I’ll rather praise Him everyway
And thank Him whichever way
Be it on a good day
When everything is going my way
Or when troubles come by the way
I’ll recall His words on the walkway
And lean on them all the way
When talking to a born again Christian,
I need to think certain things about them,
That they’re at the baseline mentally ill,
For saying that Jesus, who’s dead, is alive.
An opinion is an opinion, it can stand,
But Christianity makes a claim bold, stark,
About an historical man who effected,
Christians say he is god, so lives today.
I believe it to affect your mental health,
‘Cos this has real imprecatory waves,
For those alive today with a condition:
Christians give them faith healing.
This is wrong and can’t be tolerated,
Needs diminished and categorised,
Relegate Christianity to the lower way,
And assert yourself within secularism.
a lot of people
lie on Jesus
but,? ?I don't worry
that I'll be misled
if you are hungry
I'll share my bread
if you lie sick
I'll visit your bed
when you have
no place to live
I'll give a place
to lay your head
I pay no mind
to what people
say about Jesus
I just try to do
the things He said
HOW CAN WE SAY THAT WE LOVE GOD AND NOT OUR FELLOW MAN/WOMAN.
HOW CAN WE PRAISE GOD WITH OUR MOUTHS AND CURSE T
HE NEXT MINUTE.
WHAT IS THE POINT OF GOING TO WORSHIP IN THE HOUSE OF THE LORD.
IF IT IS NOT FROM OUR HEARTS IF IT IS NOT IN US WE SHOULD NOT PUT ON A SHOW FOR PEOPLE.
AS LONG AS WE ARE FOR REAL AND WE ARE PRAISING FROM OUR HEARTS THAT'S WHAT MATTERS.
SO MANY HYPROCRITES AND SO LIITLE TRUE CHRISTIANS HOW IS IT POSSIBLE FOR US TO BE ALL WE CAN BE WHEN WE ARE DISCCOURAGED OR FEELING LOW.
I KNOW THAT NOBODY IS PERFECT AND WE ALL HAVE OUR FAULTS BUT WE HAVE TO ENOCOURAGE ONE ANOTHER AND SPEAK OVER OURSELVES.
BUT WHEN WE HAVE NO PEACE WE ARE DISTURBED WE ARE FIGHTING SOMETHING ON THE INSIDE.
WE MUST BE STRONG AND PRAY TO THE FATHER ABOVE.
I know you're scared, but you can't have it both ways.
You want to have your cake and eat it too but gluttony is a sin and the salvation is honesty.
Sometimes I too experience a flicker of fright at the thought of the sight of what we were all taught to accept.
We were told, 'the truth shall set you free.'
But how much truth were we told and how much freedom did it bring?
I know you're scared.
We were threatened with violence if we stepped out of line and promised an eternity of much more.
We were taught to embrace these threats and sing praise to the one who cast them.
We witnessed accounts of rape, stoning and murder and we lapped up the narrative that these were absolute truths.
No matter how much we hated it, if we broke the rules we were headed for fire and the burning desire in us to avoid that pain forced us to listen.
We lay in bed at night believing the heathens we loved were doomed for torture and somehow nobody saw it as child abuse.
I know you're scared.
It's not easy to admit to yourself that all the things you've come to know are merely the result of all the things you were prevented from knowing.
Heaven is a rock, Hell is a hard place, and you are stuck in the mud of purgatory.
I know you're scared, but you don't need to be.
Humanity is shackled to religion and you are the key.
You've spent your life wondering what it will be like to meet your creator, but you greet your reflection several times a day - mission accomplished.
I know you're scared, and it may never go away for good - but it's time to let good win.
For the truth to set us free, we must first set truth free - ready, set, go.
