Best Cherish Poems
The things I value,
The things I cherish,
Are things no one else will
When I perish
Do I write a missive
Explaining the why?
Would this help save things
After I die?
This brown dead rose,
A gift from your dad,
Brings back the best night
I ever had.
This bead of pink
Once on a baby’s wrist
Only memory left
Barely a wisp
The things I value,
The things I cherish,
Are things no one else will
When I perish

Birds
Singing
Happily
Mild winter day
Fluttering around
Bring joy under blue skies
Some birdseed falls on the snow
As they eat before the next storm
Their songs can be heard turning moments
Into calming, peaceful, time to cherish

Beyond simple words being spoken,
and sharing in this reality
- I find myself -
seeking peace, comfort, a moment
so I can savor you

* Thoughts from the Heart *
~ In this case, savor is being used as a verb meaning to appreciate ~
Would you be proud,
would you tell me out loud
If you were still on this Earth ?
Would your eyes well with tears,
would you smile and say “ cheers “
would you feel I am someone of worth ?
Would you wrap me up tight in your arms with delight ?
Would you see that I now have a purpose?
Would you now believe
it was so hard to leave my old life that resembled a circus ?
Would your heart swell with love ?
would I fit like a glove
into the family you nurtured ?
Would you tell all your friends ?
would your love never end
now you see that my prospects I furthered ?
I see you in dreams and your face seems to beam with that beauteous light that surrounds you .
I just pray that you see , that there’s lots more to me
than the girl that you left far behind you .
Could you be close by ?
Are you near when I cry
In the wind softly drying my tears ?
Could it be your embrace ?
Is the sun on my face ?
Stroke my arm when I’m facing my fears ?
Would you gift me a sign that you’re hearing my rhyme?
That my words have been able to touch you ?
Every moment I relished,
conversations I cherish.
How I wish I could reach out and clutch you.
Though you have now gone
your wise words linger on,
they’re engraved in my mind now forever.
Through the veil that divides,
This tie will survive.
I’ll not let our bond ever sever.
For Timothy Lee
Eyes meet over sips of morning coffee;
warmth travels thru both my body and heart
while you couch-settle around and near me.
I value sharing a perfect day’s start.
I enjoy each fun, twosome adventure;
hands clutched in the dark, entering a park
where night skies speak no reproachful censor.
We swing, slide, laugh – our own romantic lark.
Home, a safe, private nest, our lives’ own stage,
is my best, favorite, real life place.
I relish all your couple, loving ways,
and my own happy, mirrored on your face.
Wrapping me secure within your warm skin
each night before giving way to our sleep,
is a blessed delight with my spirit’s twin.
I cherish the close embrace your arms keep.
Pleasure is us, standing strong together,
growing blessings, beliefs and faith as one,
knowing we each make the other better
and our love will be until time is done.
Cherish The Moments
Cherish the moments that life has to give
For you to remember as long as you live
Memories are all that shall ever remain
Of moments of life you can never regain
Children, your family, friends that you knew
May grow up or away and bid you adieu
Nothing’s forever…not written in stone
The past is behind you, the future...unknown
Capture today...take THIS moment…NOW
This may be all the fates will allow
Hold close to your heart those moments of love
And cherish them all…as a gift from above.

"Be happy in the moment, that's enough. Each moment is all we need."
By Mother Teresa
dewdrops
on Lotus leaves
each moment.. quivering,
shivering, trembling, translucent
lucid
vanish
flick of an eye!
contentment is a bliss…
happiness a godsend blessing
rare boon
cherish
every moment
hold love tight, don't let go
though every second counts, fragile
is life

POEM OF THE WEEK May 27 - June 3
At early dawn, the view’s superb.
Sat upon my bed scrolling thru
My phone’s pictures, I got perturb.
Your brightest smile widespread imbue,
On obituary reverb.
Life seldom gives joy alone too,
So I’ll cherish your life reverb.
With tears of peace, I will construe,
Your gallant life acclaim the verb
Of possibility pursue,
Peace of divinity superb,
Giving hope in painful adieu.
Let er rip. - Shoot from the hip. Write using the meaning of this expression.
They were strangers
Yet they felt completely
Au fait with one another
They strolled through the fields of corn
Quite relaxed and at ease
They smiled as they talked
Each giving the other a shy smile
He held out his hand, they touched
Bells rung in their ears
As though they were reborn
They ran like two children at play
Exhausted they fell to the ground
In a bundle of legs and arms
Their lips touched, was like lighting
A touch paper
Feeling of wantoness ran through their veins
She gathered his manhood in her hands
Gently massaging him to full arousal
This was a no return situation
They made love , no they completed the act of lust
Her clothes in shreds where they were ripped away
Her virginity given willingly
within the roughness of the occasion
No thoughts of consequences
She didn't know his name
She knew his body
They knew it was a here and now situation
They parted with a passionate kiss
They had let er rip, and definitely shot from the hip
Memories they will treasure always.
A new life will be, because of the now

S beautiful siren woman of his dreams,
Magically feminine, a paragon of sensual
overload, wonderful in her pure innocence
having no idea how appealing she is just
in being herself, laughing at no one,
Giving everyone a chance to be
their best, ready always to
champion the underdog,
doing what is necessary
to show kindness and
love to strangers, and
non strangers alike. She
has spiritual awareness, raging
through her. She knows so much
and yet does not feel in any way
superior to her family or peers. She
is a ready helpmate just by being her
unique fabulous self, listening to her heart
she is helpful and kind, and she is revered
and truly appreciated by those who earn
her trust and especially by those
who have loved and cherished her.
Beautiful siren woman, hear her now.

Outside my low window wide
opening on the verdant meadow
I hung resonant wind chimes
a pleasure for me to design.
The seven unequal steel rods
hollow from inside play the seven notes
making a concert with the sound of music
the gliding wind performs for me.
When at quiet dawn the butterflies flitter
on the flowers of the blooming garden
the scented breeze cascades to chime
with the rhythm of aria euphoric.
When through the gleam of the twilight dust
the tired birds return to their nests
the gentle wind rippling from their wings
creates a resonance of sonata ecstatic.
When the storm gale blows with melted clouds
from the edge of the dark night
the soft strokes of raindrops on the wind chimes
echo in my mind the melody of exaltation.
As the wind creates the mesmeric music for me
my heart pulsates to the cadence of rhapsody
and I hear it turn into my life’s symphony
I cherish.

Wrestle Your Dreams, The Ones You Most Cherish
Fear what more, love lost or imminent death
life, its beauty extinguished, in last breath.
Hold this thought, that life exists to live on
and it has no more worth, once we are gone!
Just as rainbows can not be bought or sold
living dances better young, than when old.
Love not life too much, for joy holds no scales
night invades the day, sunshine's gold thus pales.
Measurable moments, mere gasps at large
Fate holds its powers boldly while in charge!
Just as rainbows can not be bought or sold
living dances better young, than when old.
Cry not for wants, yet beg for blessings true
nothing is better than, kindness in you
Walk with humble steps, as world spins about
no one while still alive, is getting out!
Just as rainbows can not be bought or sold
living dances better young, than when old.
Wrestle your dreams, the ones you most cherish
if allowed, they run away to perish.
Mold your chains, to keep them held true and fast
they hold keys to loving that truly last!
Just as rainbows can not be bought or sold
living dances better young, than when old.

Rhyme, ( Why Ones Dreams Should Be Held Captive )
Will our friendship flourish
Perhap's it will end today,
We are constantly fighting
Lets not continue on this way.
Can we ever just move on
Let go of the troubled past,
Make full amends and commit
To making this friendship last.
We are very much alike
Felt same pain and sorrow,
Each night we say goodbye
I feel there will be no tomorrow.
I know inside we can do it
Have some ways we must bend,
Lets keep tryin and looking ahead
Dont let our friendship come to an end.
TODAY is here, do not look back for yesterday
Yesterday is gone
Today do not wait for tomorrow
Today is a last opportunity
For tomorrow ,a today will be gone
Tomorrow a new sun will rise
Leaving today behind
Take each treasured moment today
Live it to the fullest
Knowing it will only last today
For tomorrow, it will be in the past
Live each hour, each minute, each second
Because it will not come again
Today live life like there is no tomorrow
Because sometimes tomorrow never comes
I cherish precious times
Along God’s vibrant love*
Resolved midst prayed-for goal
With joyous revival
To fulfill assigned role.
I cherish precious times
With blest triumphant glow
Encouraging me more
To do by faith what’s good
Yes, better than before.
I cherish precious times
Of radiant gladness
Readily reaching-out
Smiting selfishness force
While subduing pride’s pout.
I cherish precious times
having jubilant hope
Living by divine grace
Sharing peace, showing care
Each step upon life’s pace.
