Best Carry On Poems
I am not ready
For the end ...
Though the road may wind
And it may bend ...
And if it might
Even fork in two,
I will carry on
Just as I do
Steadily stepping
Both here and there,
A trail of footprints
Without a care
And if one day
I walk alone,
Will be no reason
To weep and moan
Though the road may wind
And it may bend ...
I am not ready
For the end ...

All the pain in my life
only God can give
me the passion and
the desire to carry on
in this pain, so long
No one can walk my
journey, or wear my shoes
only I can sing my song
every day is a struggle
only God can give me
the strength to carry on
It’s hard to be strong in
the mist of the storm
in this crazy world
Struggles can either
make you or break you
the best of Christ
missionaries are those
have gone
through roughest storms
to have God hold us out in
His gentle and loving
arms
Small furry, stripy, cuddly puss makes
Lots of noise as the early dawn breaks
And so the reluctant household wakes.
“Get out of bed now,
Come down and feed us for all our sakes,
We’re on our last miaow.”
The household can but do as it’s told,
This tabby cat is exceedingly bold.
So from my bed and into the cold
I creep to provide
The feline breakfasts as I was told,
With some milk beside.
This tabby cat is plump and quite cute,
Bossy and nurse-like, a real old boot,
Her every whim always bears fruit,
She bustles about.
She’s Hattie Jacques in a tabby suit,
Matronly with clout.
Her fur is sleek, her voice is sublime
What will she be like given more time?
Her bossy manner isn’t a crime.
Sometimes she holds back.
Her friend, an alpha cat in his prime
Is leader of the pack.
I know that no one would really care,
Despite the lies I am told on a daily basis.
Though I stand here, right in front of your face,
Would you notice if my life was in a crisis?
Am I still here to all you people?
Am I too negative for you people?
Sorry I can no longer be like you people,
But am I even a person?
As I was left all alone, I cried for a while,
But I realized I didn't matter anymore.
So no more crying for me since I'm leaving soon,
But when I told you, you simply said "carry on."
What am I supposed to carry along,
When I have no heart case left to put it in.
So, I say this now and forever,
Good-bye.
Carry on
Sometimes they buy them
Other times they kidnap them
Because they need small babies
To carry their drugs
All over the world these dead
Babies go, cradled in arms

Silly creature, are you not?
a witness to everything
Silently waiting, watching, gathering
all, yes, but not receiving
Menacing little thing, are you not?
the missed crook of your head
Listening
and no one knows what you relay back
Beautiful drop of blood, you are...
not seen against the trees
You’re not ignored,
but simply a glacial, crimson breeze
You sing a song that knows,
a song that chills to the bone
You follow, you wait, you watch
Could it be for nothing?
What do you do?
During this cold, November evening
A slow pouring rainstorm to this long book I’m reading
Red wine to this loud, cold screeching
Little, hopping, crimson cardinal
won’t you please, just fly away
You have seen too much
You’re not giving up
to the icy, wrong path not seen
A note to you, crying cardinal
Take these scary images and please fly away
Keep silent, keep hidden, keep not here
standing you here is not a feat i can withstand
So horrible, haunting, little red bird
Please, i beg--
leave,
And never be heard

There is a way to save our Earth,
from rain-swept plains to desert’s thirst,
and moonlit lakes to rivers fast and wide.
From canyons carved with nature’s hands,
to soft and fickle hills of sand,
and shore to shore to mountains stretched out high.
From sea to sea to oceans deep,
Her icy worlds now start to weep,
and disappear before our careless eyes.
And from dark starry nights to bright sunny days,
green northern lights will dance away,
with flying clouds and rainbows painting skies.
There is a way to save our Earth,
it’s you and I, and Nation’s worth.
Carry On!
The scars have faded
The opaque mask I wore melts away
It took a lifetime to get here
At a crossroads in my life
So many people I've known
So many people who slowly disappeared
Like breath on a frozen day
I'm ready to show the world
That I'm ready to carry on
Yeah, I'm ready to carry on
False dreams drifted to the bottom of the sea
But I'm dreaming new dreams
Singing songs with a resurgent voice
As tomorrow's woes become distant noise
Broken hearts litter the highway of life
And I'm just picking them up
To revitalize the fractured remains of my own
I'm ready to show the world
That I'm ready to carry on
Yeah, I'm ready to carry on
The statues of idols crumble all around me
But I'm looking deep inside
To find a person I can look up to
Because deep inside is a hero
Waking up from a lifelong slumber
To burst free of the somber shell of my body
So I can stretch my wings
And show the world
That I'm ready to carry on
Yeah, I'm ready to carry on
And I won't be perfect
Sometimes I'll lapse and give in to demons
But they're on the fringes of my mind
And I'm going to show the whole world
That in my core I have found salvation
That in the clouds I have found righteousness
That in my beating heart I have found compassion
This is my life
And I'm ready to carry on
Yeah, I'm ready to carry on
No matter what you are going through, do not let life get the best
of you. Take up ypur greer and put it on, live your life, be tough and
strong, just carry on.
Yes carry on, live life to its fullest and nothing less and God will truly
take care of the rest and you will most certainly be blessed.
A lot can change in 10 years,
Especially in the reliability of your plumbing,
When it comes to flushing out your system,
In preparation for a Colonoscopy.
My first while a bit of a mission,
The pipes were soon running clear,
To the satisfaction of both doctor and colour chart
As instructions followed to the letter,
Liquid intake measured to the last millilitre,
All introduced to the pipes at the specified times,
Result, smiles all round,
The Doctor not late for golf,
The nurse not needing to check the colour first hand,
And the patient not suffering too much, for want of,
First coffee of the day.
Fast forward 10 years,
Pipes getting a bit rusty,
Flushing more of a chore,
Instructions still followed to letter,
But on arrival,
Doctors and Nurses faces sympathetic,
As more flushing required,
Colonoscopy on hold til colour of outflow,
Matching that on chart,
Now it was Drink,
Walk,
Go, but don't flush,
Ring the bell,
Wait for the nurse,
Repeat until colour match found.
After 4 repeat performances,
Success,
A matching colour found,
With five minutes to spare.
My first coffee of the day now in sight,
I say goodbye to those who, shared my plight,
Of drinking,
Walking,
Going but not flushing,
Ringing the bell,
And waiting for the nurse.
As I await my biopsy results,
I can't help but smile,
As I think about all the laughter,
And corny jokes that kept flowing,
Between flushes,
But then I guess you needed to be there,
Or have watched the Carry on Doctor Movies.
I hate to check my luggage
When I’m about to fly.
I much prefer to carry-on
And here are reasons why -
My suitcase can’t get very lost
If it’s within my reach
And no one’s hands have riffled through,
An oft-occurring breach.
But mostly it’s a case of time –
I really hate to wait
Until the baggage carousel
Begins to activate.
And so I schlep my bag aboard;
My husband heaves it high
And hopefully, there’ll be a space
For it to occupy.
Although the days seem dark
There's still light there within
You may not see it shinning now
While your feeling pretty dim
But believe that people see you
shinning just like a star
So instead of drifting off
Please stay here where you are..
If people only knew
The pain you were going through
I'm sure everyone would hug you
To remove your feeling blue
If only you could see yourself
The way others do
Perhaps it would be enough
To cure that feeling blue
Your special in many eyes
And loved so very true
So if today's a tough day
Read this to pull you through
Life can be a battle
I'm battling here now too
But let's fight back together
If I can you can too
Life is worth the living
It's precious through and through
If you can not see it now
Believe what I say is true
Tomorrow can be so different
If you hold on you will see
Tomorrow is a blessing
For both you and me

It doesn’t take a genius
With a pair of seeing eyes
And the slightest bit of judgment
To calculate a size.
Yet, I am really puzzled
My feeling is so strong
My mind is just so boggled
How so many can be wrong.
Whenever I must fly somewhere
I’m careful and I’m leery
I usually have one case to check
And a small one I can carry!
The airline says your carry-on
Be a certain size - that’s it.
Otherwise it must be checked
That way all carry-ons will fit!
But certain people just ignore
The carry-on restrictions.
Which is very inconsiderate
They have faulty convictions.
Their “carry-ons” are so dam big
It really is a crime
They fill up all the overheads
Which can take too long a time.
These nerds are inconsiderate
Other passengers are disrespected
Part of the fault lies with the airline
and this problem needs corrected.
If all who fly would just abide
and do what should be done
boarding and deboarding
would be easier for everyone!
Even though I'm gone
Carry on don't forget me
You're now working for 2
We carry on our marry way
Tomorrow is a new day
and stop to say, "There goes summer,"
watch the girls walk with dogs
catching fleas with mortgages not paid,
and there goes the maid
cleans house with jewelry in her pockets,
Tip-Toe across the market and into the square,
and watch the strippers dance in pairs.
Tears roll down the street
as happiness goes to meet someone
as tip-toe boys go softly through dusk
streets on a Friday night,
they all sit front row to see the fight.
The girls are tight, with short mini skirt delight,
I like... and I write about them... they get me drunk
and I feed them with life.
