Best Carnations Poems
Sweet fragrance of moist dew seeks to transpose
white carnations, baby's-breath, red roses.
Heartwarming blooms called upon to compose
striking overture, fond bridal poses.
White carnations, baby's-breath, red roses,
their fervor takes the breath away with grace.
Striking overture, fond bridal poses,
romance of harmony at glance embrace.
Their fervor takes the breath away with grace,
with deep yearning invoked by nature's thieves,
romance of harmony at glance embrace.
Wisp air weaving like silk through trembling leaves.
With deep yearning invoked by nature's thieves,
heartwarming blooms called upon to compose.
Wisp air weaving like silk through trembling leaves
sweet fragrance of moist dew seeks to transpose.

Like frills and laces on gowns; like wisdom and wit inter-spun;
Joy-filling; peace-expressing; like sparks of the evening sun;
Large, dwarf, spray... your blossoms shine in forms and types vivacious,
In charm, splendor and exuberance you seem so gracious...!
Glorious in garlands; floral queen of coronation;
What devotee would avoid you, from God's adoration?
Spring-seasonal sun and moisture you splendidly relish,
Symbolizing heart-beats, gardens and minds you embellish...!

Carnations Pure Love
Carnations
Of many rainbow radiant colors
Kiss of heavens fragrance
With a heavy, spicy floral aroma tinged by sweet dark honey
~
Carnations
Corsage around my wrist
My first prom I cannot wait
And, lose myself in your arms as we dance
Silence
Kiss on the check; Daddy says be back before midnight
~
Carnations
Garland crown around my head
Express love deepens in my heart for thee
Found my home in the sea of your love to carry me
For richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, until death do us part
A kiss on the lips on my wedding day and with you the rest of my life
~
Carnations
Ink on my abdomen
Strong arms encircles my waist
Fingers brush and take my breath away
A kiss of blooms not forgotten
Doors open and mountains moved
~
Carnations
Casket spray
Lullaby love of heaven you’re taken away from me
Amazing grace and sermon said
To say goodbye
~
Carnations
Of many rainbow radiant colors
Kiss of heavens fragrance
With a heavy, spicy floral aroma tinged by sweet dark honey

Rows of carnations
children grab, defying rule
time withers with them.

What's found at the crack of an egg
wonderin if I have somethin', anything
left to say..
bright yolk or young generations hope..
open your mind, try if you can
whether breakfast or prayer for man.
Y'know I go to visit the lonely in their lonesome lands..
sit a spell, hold their hands.
Visit with Bukowski, well of course I would.
A lit cigarette held in shears..
expertly placed beween the spring and the pivot point,
tryin' to learn the meaning of the word poet.
We're all stuck like swirling smoke
between the spring and the dull edge,
hoping for shear ecstasy in cut rapture
like passing of the last carnation (flower for Mariupol).
Searching for myself in spoken word
just may've found it..
In verse of Cohen's Hallelujah, brought to
life in an age of Buckley, an age of genius
and beauty.., tho'
perhaps a little short-lived..
proof there's so much more we can give.
Take carnations
tender child
till the hand
hardens
holding thorns
beneath petals
without crying
chasing kites
butterflies
rainbows colors
dazzling
from
dawn splendor
to the scarlet
gold horizon
dreaming castles
treasure islands
pearls and corals
sparkling
juggling stars
with cherubs
smiling
on moon slice
gliding
through
snow lit
Christmas
galaxies
blue and red
shimmering
till clock hands
on rose stop
thorns of time
piercing
time to pay
love with love
with
or no
applause
melting ego
in us ocean
in God's help
trusting
when too heavy
grown for parents
His strong arm
holding you
spreading
charity
lighting path
with God's love
pace and joy
unending

ROSES AND CARNATIONS
Roses and carnations, a lively
Imitation, of life’s full-bodied wine.
Different, yet parallel.
The embodiment of Cupid’s strike.
~
Riveting roses, sensual & aromatic.
Hourglass form, like lover’s hips
And crimson lips. She’s introverted,
Felicitous and faithful.
A dozen in her dainty hands,
A crown of beauty, bestowed.
Jealousy of upturned smiles,
Tremble around this delicate flower.
~
Roses and carnations, a lively
Imitation, of life’s full-bodied wine.
Different, yet parallel.
The embodiment of Cupid’s strike.
~
Coveted carnations, beheld.
Their colorful skirts - twirling,
exhaling & whirling. Hues
Of ruby, sapphire and pearl.
Posh petals of personality,
Adorned in grandeur’s golden portico.
One snipped, for his boutonnière.
Gaiety in her bridal bouquet.
Two lively hearts join in matrimony.
~
Roses and carnations, a lively
Imitation, of life’s full-bodied wine.
Different, yet parallel.
The embodiment of Cupid’s strike.

For Carole
Whenever there would seem to be
A serious argument between you and me
Or to ease the pain of a fight
And make the ugly seem the right
I never had a love before
That I could pamper, love, adore...
I thought you understood
Those times that things weren't going good
You did
For awhile
It would always make you smile
We'd make up and forget the night before
Those times I'd bring a pink carnation to your door
You said, "No man ever loved me before."
And I could see
It wasn't that you didn't love me
They ceased to erase the pain
Those pink carnations I brought to your door
All the hours and money spent
Buying flowers to hide mistakes I never meant
If only I had spent more time
In loving you
Maybe you would now be mine.
There are carnations
I shower them all with life
so straight and so clear.
Chartreuse b l a d e s encompass the ROSE,
she portrays beauty that nobody knows-
When the rain p o u r s her bud grows,
with her p e t a l s that sparkle her love glows.
As she gleams in the sun she shines,
she is magnificence and marvel combined-
She calms me with grace and repose.
My favorite flower is a pink CARNATION,
she BLOOMS in the Spring with appreciation-
Mother Nature has made a l o v e l y creation,
oh, there could never be a duplication.
As she b l o s s o m s in the day she glares,
fascinated by her luster as she flares-
I write in the emerald field with inspiration.
I used them both in my wedding b o u q u e t,
I said, “I do”, on that warm August day-
on grandma’s tomb is where I lay
both b e a u t i f u l FLOWERS; true love they portray.
When the wind blows with ease I feel,
the appreciation in my soul; my heart heals-
As I pick them both in the f i e l d by the bay.

cut
right and
radiant
deep love and Warmth.
Garnets of red are January’s friend.
The sweet smell of red carnations drift in the air
Admiration
is what my
flower
Means.
Carnations and candlelight
black Cadillac Seville sleek
ace of spade fury
six chambers for a lifetime
to set things just right
bang bang
eight balls ricochetting
bang bang
rack'em up chump
cue sticks red velvety dusted
musk oil grinding virgin blood
diamond dead snake eyes
star mist and streamer
stiletto and sequin
unchain the ceiling
throbbing dreams kneeling
pearls riding moonbeams
sin sighing salvation
cracking pink champagne
black satin bullets and golden chains
drawing down mahogany shades
Caving in the morning
red-eyed and dead glory
two black carnations
sunny side down.
Smeared summer blue skylight
dabbed and spackled white
over drab green meadows
where clashing floral pedals
seemed like odd speckles
in an old oil stained painting unframed
Its now my perception now these odd impressions
were clever color alternations
an odd rendition of gentle carnations
bled dye the shade of pink pastel
during morning's rain spell
Displayed in an odd shaped imported pastel vase
until winter's frost and winter withered
its pedals lost yet remembered
after several seasons time the stems bled lime
as chlorophyll spilled
its pedals decayed
until no flower remained displayed
ROSES AND CARNATIONS
Carnation and Rose in charm and beauty
ranking Princess or Queen as celebrity
in marvels of color claim serenity
suited for all occasions.
Glistening in red yellow or white,
any shade in sheen, light or bright
even rare black prince in delight.
allure all in celebrations.
Silky crimson or pearly pink
Scarlet red to glow and blink.
Best blaze in glaze so far, I think
Roses and carnations.
