My Birdsong

Written in cooperation with amazing Silent One https://www.poetrysoup.com/poems_poets/poems_by_poet.aspx?ID=88707

verse
Eternity is nothing
When I’m with you
I give you the flowers
Of youth, happiness
The magical spell
Sounds simply “love you”
We don’t need the time
Being beyond the space

chorus
The magic in our hearts
Between our hands
You are my beginning
And my end
I want to pull you closer
And hide from the world
Singing for you like a bird

verse
Infinity is nothing
When you are with me
You give me the rays
of glory and beauty
You leave me breathless
at peace in your embrace
Sweet sensual whispers
Only heeard by me

chorus
The magic in our hearts
Between our hands
You are my beginning
And my end
I want to pull you closer
And hide from the world
Singing for you like a bird

Bridge
Our ink could not romanticize
until the first glance of our eyes
Blank pages of our love story
are now written with stardust

chorus
The magic in our hearts
Between our hands
You are my beginning
And my end
I want to pull you closer
And hide from the world
Singing for you like a bird

For hummingbirds, such as yourself, a poem...
a croon along your garden way,
I fly, but one, alone…

now winging from beneath your sunlit glow
I’m given life; my gift, your love;
I rise, to steal the show…

Yet I, a Pilgrim, lose my arrows blind
consumed by what I should have known,
as if I chime, to roam…

Perhaps it is mere pleasure that I sought,
my journey far and migrant… no,
I need your love; I know…

We've traveled long it seems, and now I’ve grown
to understand your love, and why you’ve flown.

Quiet
Greets the Spring morn,
Until a shaft of light
Diffuses night into a dawn
Chorus.

Sonnet 35 'The Happy Lark Sings Dulcet Resurrection'

The happy lark sings dulcet Resurrection!
His silver strands, like notes, weave pearly cloth,
Abide no warring, strife or misdirection;
The Little Folk come softly to the wroth,
And make them glad and wakeful in new Sun.
Elves almost show themselves, then whirl away!
They cannot stop their mischief, for the fun,
They do not flee from shadows, for ‘tis day.
O! Silver cloth, white song bright, interwoven,
Clothe now each weary soul in Glory, pray!
O! Fiery tongues, anointing us with cloven
White flames, teach us prophetic words to say…
Here, breath of babies, sprung from Springtime’s grace
Surrounds roses, in clouds… chiffon and lace…

On swift wings, blessed by the light,
who pours out the melody,
scriptures come to life – in the song,
joyful noises, crafted by hope,
soothing away the dark, coloring the life
in gentle truth, praises poured out,
all through the music, songs drifting,
on the edge of a heart – rhythmic, beyond the winds,
who remember only the showers,
the storm who haunts with its whisper,
blessings gesture to the souls who recall…

on swift wings, they soar, gliding through the skies,
at peace with the graceful sun, at peace…
they seem to sing, ‘just see what God has done’,
“J U S T S E E… what God has done…

And, He has only just begun! He has only just begun!!!!

“birds care not for whom they sing” Quote by: Silent One

The Gemini garden is in full bloom
Looking glorious in the month of June
The sound of silence, apart from birdsong
Is magic to whom the garden belongs.

Birds sing intermittently all day long
It’s their language spoken in tweet-along
Their tunes are music to us humans too
Do they know that? one would hope that they do.

Rose and honeysuckle, jewels of June
In a vase boom ambience of a room
Lily of the valley and lavender
In Gemini gardens add their lustre.

Roses, being the symbol of romance
Grace the air with their alluring fragrance
Honeysuckle too are a gift God-sent
As are all flowers, wafting heaven scent.

At the close of day when moon and stars glow
Nature puts on a magnificent show
Stupendous delights in silence of night
In Gemini gardens, peace does ignite.

Birdsong

Birdsong

Skies of the brightest blue
Uncluttered by pollutions
Birds circle overhead
Looking for a place to roost
Males with their bright colors
Looking for a mate for the spring
Chirping into the cool valley air
Songs of greetings and invitations
They echo off the trees and mountains
Combining into a symphony
Males and females meet
They sing and dance into the early evening
Joining together in an ancient ritual
And life begins again

Birdsong in the morning, droplets of dew
White fluffy clouds, glorious sunshine too
Moonlight and starlight remind me of you
A vision in all that comes into view.

In babbling brooks and soft breezes that blow
I glimpse the angel I lost and love so
All things are heightened in memories flow
Memoirs to cherish from long, long ago.

I visualise you in falling rain
The melody of your heart sung again
A lullaby of the sweetest refrain
Vision of mother in heaven's domain.

In a rainbow’s colourful hues are you
For you were a woman of colours too
Colour, you said, would brighten up our days
And I wear many colours too, always.

I observe you in the ice and snowfall
When you appear the prettiest of all
Your face a picture I’d place on a wall
It’s vision clear paradise is a ball.

Birdsong Blues

It's spring
Birds sing

I hear
Their cheer

Tweet tweet
How sweet

Day one
What fun!

Day two
Doves coo

Day three
What glee

Day four
Crows caw

Day five
Survive

Day six
Wild chicks

Cock crows
Ire grows

Loud quail
Nerves frail

All week
Gulls shriek

Cheep cheep
No sleep

Mad tit
That's it!

Have words
With birds

Spring’s past
At last

No din;
Lie in!

Tweet tweet tweet
I hear the birds speak
I wonder what they say

Perhaps it’s a song
Or a prayer strong
To welcome golden day

The sunshine glows
And wouldn’t you know
By their cheerful chirps

Perhaps they’ve learned
To get the early worm
And whistle while you work

I lay here nude
Enjoying their tune
Of rainbow inflections

Tan ceiling fan on
Creating my own song
Sunny disposition suggestion

Good morning soupers
May you all be troupers
As you earn that early worm

May you keep hope
With or without clothes
As the world turns

Birdsong

My colleagues who were birders
Could identify the sound
And name the breed of every bird
Whose chirping was around.

It didn't matter if they saw
One feather on its back,
The tweets and twitters said enough
For all the codes to crack.

I do not care which utterance
Emits from any beak.
I listen to the chorus
And enjoy the way they speak...

Especially when counterpointed
With a gentle rain.
When Nature's noises serenade,
There's such a sweet refrain.

W hen duskfall glows,it brings a hundred sounds
O ver the vales, birds echo a chant’s rhyme
N otes tuneful as flint of stardust abounds;
D elighting a nightscape with lilts sublime…
E ach mystic hum rings like an abbey's bell
R arer than chorales of seas's rhapsody;
F luttering mildly while my own thrills swell
U ntil warblers drift off , hushed on a tree…
L istening still, to pale music’s farewell.

Birdsong

Beautiful melody permeating the air
Instilling precious feelings of joy and
Rapturous bliss that fills me with
Delight and ecstasy as I listen to its
Sweet serenade filling the airwaves
Overwhelming my being with
Nature's soothing music of the
Glorious splendour of birdsong
