Birdsong

For hummingbirds, such as yourself, a poem...
a croon along your garden way,
I fly, but one, alone…

now winging from beneath your sunlit glow
I’m given life; my gift, your love;
I rise, to steal the show…

Yet I, a Pilgrim, lose my arrows blind
consumed by what I should have known,
as if I chime, to roam…

Perhaps it is mere pleasure that I sought,
my journey far and migrant… no,
I need your love; I know…

We've traveled long it seems, and now I’ve grown
to understand your love, and why you’ve flown.

Nette, I adored the image of the robins diving and the jasmines hopping in third stanza. Aren't jasmines flowers? it was fun to think of them hopping. Congrats for your win in my contest.

The music and charms of spring are matched by the beauty of your words. This poem dances with the robins on the springtime breeze.

A nice quatern Nette, whichever form of poem you choose to write,the form automatically appears the best ; imaging your jewel on this quatern,it automatically makes it king of forms.Your poetic dexterity is endearing;for the rhyme lovers,you have their time;for message and rightful words, you are simply glorious;what is poetic that is not Nette?Or I should simply ask, what is Nette that is not poetic? Thanks for your greetings,everybody here,including my darling wife, sends you greetings too.

Hmmm, I Found A Bit Of Edgar Allen Poe Somehow Amid This Lovely Coastal Rhyme, Sweet Beautiful Amazing Nette Onclaud ... Although, We Are Not Sure As Unto Why She Would Adorn Her Seaside Shores; Their Robins But Yes, Twas His Annabel Lee ? Thank You, For Being So Kind As Passing By: Wonderful .... Love, Jeremy *
