No Fool

They say;
"Behind every good man,
is a great woman."

But, I must digress.

I mean, I should probably confess.

I guess,
what I'm tryin' to profess,
is that - I wholeheartedly disagree.

I have to take a stand.
If it's "love" that's in demand,
then I'ma speak out - candidly.

Now, I can't speak for every man.
We're not all the same.
Contrary to what most believe.

I let them do them,
'n you do you,
while I do lil' ol' me.
(all six foot three)

With all that said..

Behind every good man,
with a chivalrous plan,
I believe should be;

The shadow - of said Man..
proudly holding the hand
of a beautiful silhouette
standin' side by side - equally.

By my side - is where she should be.

Not ahead.
Never behind.

Until I'm dead
that's where you'll find
my better half.

The one that makes me laugh.
Laugh so hard - I cry.

The one, around whom, I can act like myself..
'n noone else..
'n neva have to try..
t'be like ANY other guy.

'cause she loves me - for ME.

Now, THAT'S a "ride, or die".

That's the whole reason why,
I asked her to be - my Wife.

She's the love - of my life.

I know.
I know.

The word LOVE has become so cliché,
'n there's only so many words
that we can use - to describe it.

..and here I am,
NOTE II - in hand,
tryin' to find a witty way - to contrive it.

If our love is a drug,
I've become so above 'n beyond addicted,
that I'd beg a Dr - to continuously prescribe it.

Not that you'll ever need to be reminded.

You already know,
when you need unconditional love,
right where you can find it.

All You Need is Cheese

The humble cheese has a secret superpower
Its gooey glory conquers cauliflower
The melted cheddar of fried baloney
The better half of macaroni

The sharp-dressed suitor of apple pie
A fondue tryst with crusty rye
The love child of curds and whey
Eloped with pillow soft souffle

This Muenster does not pursue peasants
The tang of blue can be quite pleasant
Smoked Gouda's so good, seconds I'll take
While leaving room for more cheesecake-

My foodie knowledge was remiss
Thinking all foreign cheese was Swiss!
Don't fret, American, your place is true
What would tomato soup be, without you?

I live in the Northwest, where I can cook
with the best cheese brand of all - Tillamook!

The Definition Of A Real Woman

(W)- A real woman knows that the wages of sin is death so she is not concerned about the wages of a real man, because money comes and goes like day and night; but true love comes just every blue moon. A real woman isn't loud and doesn't have to be the center of attention. Money is a gold-diggers virtue, while patience is a real woman’s virtue. A real woman is always wary of the image she displays to the world because she knows her children are watching her every move. A real woman’s wisdom comes from the teachings of her elders and the experiences and hardships life brings. A real woman is the wings that help a broken man learn to fly again. When you become the object of a real woman’s affection, winning is the only option.

(O)- A real woman’s main obligation is to better herself, before she attempts to become someone’s better half. A real woman is very obliged with all that God has blessed her with. When a man takes a real woman for granted, she makes up her mind to put him away into oblivion. A real woman is use to jumping hurdles because overcoming obstacles in life keeps her on the right track. A real woman doesn't spend her time worrying if failure is around the corner, because she occupies her freedom chasing her dreams in her most comfortable running shoes. A real woman is a hopeless romantic ready to be wooed with an odyssey of love with a real man by her side.

(M)- A real woman’s presence is magnanimous and captures attention because of the poised and elegant stature of her classy nature. A real woman is like the magnet of ecstasy. All women don't attend college or hold prestigious employment, but for many being the Valedictorian of mothers everywhere is the major of their lives. A real woman respects the art of marriage and believes in monogamy. A real woman’s life is the motion picture of sophistication. The mythology of a woman began within a man’s ribs and ends in the beat of his heart.

(A)- A real woman sticks to her man like glue and never abandons his side. A real woman has the ability to do anything a man can. A real woman has the power to fill the abyss of a man’s pains with joy. A real woman prays with her other half because faith is the key of remaining on one accord. A real woman will amaze you with the way she adapts to changes in her ambiance. A real woman is the architect of her own destiny.

(N) A real woman needs a man to understand and love her for everything she is and for everything she is not because a good support system is a leading factor in longevity within relationships. A real woman is the nexus between love and happiness. When you converse with a real woman you will realize that she is nimble with her every response. No man can ignore the nymph of a real woman, because it is in her D.N.A to be notable.

My Better Half

My better half whispers for me to do right.

I never listen to my soul until I'm desperate.

I feel it,I breath it.It makes my stomach roar.

My better half tells me I'm hungry. Eat.

I process the field of battle.

Just one more time.

Ill plant my flag.

My hands are stained red.

I am at the door to victory.

But the door is locked

The key wont turn.

Foiled again.

If you do that once more I'm done.

You promised. Swore.

Pledged your allegiance to my flag.

My flag is old and in need of repair.

Honor to my flag.It's done.

The battle is won in defeat.

I need one more chance.

My better half is taking a victory lap.

Angel of mourning soup
Angel of mourning
Who gives birth to fresh morning dew who
helped me pursue who showed me the light
when I was lost for clues in times of blues

Angel of assistance
From were did you fall
From heaven?
From where did you fall
From where did you
hear my call
I wanted to say thank you
that's all
that's all
You are the fairest of
them all and you don't
need to ask the damn
mirror on the wall.

You helped me build the ladder of saul but the others
couldn't help because they couldn't speak our language
at all and so if I ever fall I know you will be there to
pick me up like a pen like a friend I wish I can give
you the sun but I am young enough to be your son
so I give to you the stars of friendship ,I can feel your
breeze its it make me want to fall to my knees and never
cease to rain my gratification on your being because what
I have been seeing is a lending hand when many ran I
guess that's what separates a rock from a grain of sand
size of heart so were should I start.

Let me fill your shopping cart with the immensity
of this poem so when you get to the cash register
of heavens doorway you can show em your appreciated
hearts receipt you have given more than I can take
you have dotted my I's and crossed my t's you are the
rain to my tree the beautiful shells in my sea the form
of my key the correction and assistance of me the blue jay
at dawn singing to me the heat to my tea the caps for my
knee you are the back up stinger of this bee so tell me
honey what you see because I see the better half of me
may our friendship never cease catie please you are the
cat and I am the flea don't you ever scratch me because
friends tolerate the most annoying things of each other so
let the itch be any way I don't think the vet's can separate
you and me there's just to much chemistry.

Angel of assistance
From were did you fall
From heaven?
From where did you fall
from where did you
hear my call
I wanted to say thank you
that's all
that's all
You are the fairest
of them all and you
don't need to ask the
damn mirror on the wall.

I will take the poison apple out
of your hand and take the fall
You are the fairest
 of them all and you
don't need to ask the
damn mirror on the wall.

Bastard Sun

Life is a bastard son, prodding the fertile horizon
poking into places tender, tearing the expanse of dawn
he taunts, rude and bellicose, so full of himself
spewing into the weakest streams, a wet dream.

With platitudes he prances, son of a fearsome father
promising eternity, singing a lover's song of praise.
Light bearer, holder of the golden scalpel, night cutter
leaving glare where softness once held sway.

May the abyss, the gentle dark, the yin forgive you..son.
From the pear-shaped loins of sister Eve, you have burst
washed in the waters of she, a caul of white adorned,
pray, stay your hand, do not bludgeon your better half.

Existence, endless, fleeting, meld and join this randy pair
for universes swing between this bastard and his dreams.

Brave Heart

My mother taught me to cry
she said pain is not something to deny

My mother taught me to forgive
because you move on in order to live

My mother taught me to love
you give all so you can get more of

My mother taught me to laugh
it brings out your better half

My mother taught me to fight
to fix my wrong with a right

My mother taught me to care
even as the odds are unfair

my mother taught to be brave,
and live my art, because
brave wouldn't be brave without a heart.

Love's Promise

If you need me to make miracles happen,
I would. If only for your well-being,
If only for your good.
I’ll set eternity into motion,
By the passing of a fleeting second.
An eternity with every fleeting second,
I'd spend with no one else but you.
I’ll summon the vastness of Infinity—stretching out perpetually
From the constricted confines of a single quark.
I'd perpetually explore the farthest reaches of infinity
With you—with passionate kisses in the dark.
You are the better-half of my frayed soul
The perfect fit to an otherwise gaping hole
That is my existence — an infernal world plagued by countless rifts.
A meaningless cycle of resolute despair as each day pointlessly shifts
Into oblivion. You are my deliverance from the inundating deluge of madness.

You are the only sense of perpetual certainty in this absolutely ephemeral life—
My soulmate, my best friend—everything I dreamed of-come to life.

You found me when I was lost in an infinite void stuck between the apex of reason and the all consuming shadows of madness.
You are my darkness, my refuge, my salvation from the blinding light.
You lifted the curse from my cryogenic heart so I can begin to feel.
You brushed off the ashes of my charred hopes and assured me everything will be alright.
You pried the shards of my shattered dreams off my bleeding soul so I can begin to heal.
You are the precious soft whispers spoken as muffled sighs of passion in the night.

Heaven is the warm breath that flows between your supple lips,
The saccharine melody of your whispers as I trace your smile with my finger tips.
The beauty of your resplendent soul— akin to the divine
I will do all it takes for you to stay…
Forever mine.

I started a Joke

                        I started a joke…

I started a joke to be laughed at, when I was young.
Now I am too old and I know that I was wrong.
I started to smile, when I saw her, but she is gone.
Now I will see her in all my dreams until dawn.
I started a dance I praised it with every song.
Now the music died and I did cry all night long.
I started to hear her magic voice in all my dreams.
No you do not know, till you don’t know what it means.
I started to look when she was dancing under the moon.
Now with all this pain the dark shadows coming soon.
I started to run to nowhere land when she was gone,
Now I am tired and need something to hold on.
I started a search with all my soul to find and seek,
Yet she is not there, and what is there for me to speak.
I started to cry because I miss my better half,
I know it for sure, I will see her and we'll laugh.
I love you my love, you are with me joyous and kind.
I will be dreaming with all my heart, you will find.

My Better half

Accepts me for what I am.
Believes me for what I can.
Cares for me all the time.
Drives me crazy.
Encourages me to do my best.
Follows up and follows me through.
Guides me when I am lost.
Honors my feelings and decisions.
Informs me when I don't know.
Judges me not so quickly.
Kissess me everyday.
Loves me unconditionally.
Marries me only.
Nourishes my relationship to God.
Plays with me ocassionally.
Quickly forgives my mistakes.
Reminds of me of my greatness.
Saves me from everything.
Teaches me the life's lessons.
Understands my shortcomings.
Value everything what I share.
Wakes me up every morning.
Xperiencees ups and downs with me.
Yearns to stay with me.
Zest to live, love, and laugh with me 'till the end

A Man's Best Friend

Man’s Best Friend

Was black and tan and sleek and lean
Smaller than her sister
So very timid when first seen
I could not resist her

The little runt of the litter
I loved her instantly
In my eyes there was none better
My best friend, she would be

But as it happened, I must laugh
Her loyalty, my due
was given to my better half
She sticks to him like glue

Together they make quite a pair
He has her love for life
Though I’m the one who cleans up hair
I’m just her master’s wife.

I want to make a vow to you for eternity
I want to say I love you and keep saying it for the rest of our life
I want the first thing I hear in the morning is your voice reminding me how blessed we are to have each other
I want the fairy tale
I want the happy ever after
I want my soulmate and best friend
I want your hands in mine
I want to know I can count on you every day of our life
I want to know you accept me for the fool I am and see the beauty in my smile
I want you to teach me to grow, pull me out of my comfort zone
I want you to never give up on me, even when it's hard to do... Never give up on us
Take away the tears from years of pain and bring me happiness
Fight for us every chance you get
Teach me how to laugh again
I want to know your heart belongs to me and only me
I want to be your better half, your only half and your forever love
I want to give you my heart and never take it back, knowing it's secure
You are the love of my life
The light in my darkest days
My hope
My universe
My forever love
My only love
The man I grow old with
You are my today, my tomorrow, my eternity love

You know, we are made for each other.
You are so soft, I am also not rough.’
‘Oh dear, dear, dear, My dear husband,
I will be with you forever
My ardent ardor sending this errand.’
‘If I die tomorrow, will you again marry, my dear princess!’
‘I will stay with my sister.
I will never marry some other else.
But if I die tomorrow, what will you do?’
‘Same decision! We are made for each other.
I would like to live with your sister too.’

Boss Lady

Boss Lady! Boss Lady? Whatever do you mean?
Do you mean I’m hip, I’m fly, I’m stylish, what?
Do I accept an accolade, or are you being snide?
Or is it innuendo; yes… true, that just could be it too.

Of course, you could be like one, who scoffs at his own issues;
for he is in denial, and refuses to resolve them.
What that means quite frankly dear is that you are insecure;
and women who assert themselves just scare the pants off you,
but you won’t tell that either.

What could you lose but childishness if once you would admit?
This better half of you in me has more than half a mind, and works.
So well it works, (the female brain) you hardly can admit it; instead
Your first defense is always, “women just don’t get it”.
And there you go, that wall goes up and words… they just don’t matter;
then reason doesn’t stand a chance, you say, “Oh, you’re so damn frus-tra-ting”.

If you would relax and keep quite still, it will not take long to see,
the things Boss lady can not do she smiles and calls for you.
The reason friend is fairly simple, we make what’s called a team.
Boss ladies do insinuate, but only to implore,
you must stand tall, or you will fall, as prey to an imposter ;
Just recognize the one who sighs, though cute, is what? An interloper.

Grow Old With Me

My dear,
There's nowhere I'd rather be,
Than by your side,
As you grow old with me.

I know we fight and carry on,
We wield our swords for all to see,
But darling I do love you so,
Settle in and please grow old with me.

When twilight sets and our bones creak,
When sunset is at the top of our hill,
When our passionate longing turns to comfort,
It is you I'll long for still.

When our luscious hair no longer grows,
When wrinkles show the many laughs,
When sighs replace sprints and jumps.
You'll still be my better half.

When our children are grown and living large,
When our teeth aren't as white or strong,
For every step I take down that path,
My love I want you along.

When flying dishes are replaced with shrugs,
When our joints groan instead of snap to,
When our lives are like the setting sun,
Justin I want to be with you.

You are the green in my garden,
You are the red in my art,
You are the harmony in my song,
You are the love in my heart.

I know we sometimes brawl and spur,
I know we talk of ending it all,
But the truth is, Rocketpants, there's no one else
But with you whom I'll take the fall.

You are my strength, my grace, my inspiration,
You are my reflection when I'm at my best,
There's no one like you in this whole wide world,
I choose you above all the rest.

You fascinate me and leave me in wonder,
You spark my passion and calm my bones,
When your strong arms are wrapped around me,
I can exhale. I'm finally home.

Let's walk this plain hand in hand,
But not too fast, let's take it slow,
Come grow old with me, my sweet love,
And we will walk together into the glow.

Being One

Glitters spread all over
Seeking reflections amidst
becoming steadfast

Long lost better half
Reunite even afar
Sharing out fragments

Standing still staring
Beyond space and time searching
A spark that mislead

Now after decades
Attracting as one fellow
When moments unfold.

It's strange learning lessons too late

But pain lingers into the night

It stays as a comfort to the alone

I wait and don't fight it

Gather it to me as the dandelion

Like a child I blow and send each sorrow

The wind surrounds each thought and carries

And if they are watered and fertilized

They will form my future and the Sun

The blessed Sun will warm my broken heart

The mending and stitching of my better half

My better half who knows all of me

I love you

Speaking of Love

My wife and I have seen it all
The very spot were demons call

No will to leave or will to fight
Two lost souls living in the night

But in each other what we found
Two beating hearts one single sound

I love her more than words can say
She is the light that guides my way

She is the light that guides my path
She is the numbers in my math

If one plus one then equals two
She’s the meaning of all I do

She’s the smile that starts my day
The sunset that fades it away

Of all we do and all we are
Know my wife is my guiding star

For her I shall be all I can
A kind and gentle loving man

Our love is written in the stars
Our love has melted prison bars

Our love overcame addiction
Stronger than any affliction

Stronger than any test of time
All things from God end up divine

See that’s the blessing of our love
A divine gift from God above

What I cherish the most in life
I am a man who loves his wife

She is the better half of me
Always has been, always will be

Speaking on love all I can say
She made me all I am today

My Family

Deep into tonight as I lay tired and restless, I think of all the joy I have experienced in my life... There are certain people I must thank for my God given outlook. I can start with my mother.. you are so dear and loving. You hold a very special place in my heart, for you have given me life and in my life I have you, I couldn't be more grateful. My father, of course, always a steady rock. Full of patience and quiet sarcasm we all love to listen for. Supportive in ways I will never be able to show my gratitude, and I pray you know how special you are to me and my family. Karen, rest in peace... without you, I wouldn't be at this place that I have always dreamed I could be. Thank you for saving me and giving me comfort in all my times of sorrow and thank you for all the laughter during all our silly sleepovers. You mean the world to my Ella, and you always will. My best friend, and big sis' Jennifer... What can I say about you? There are no words I could ever say to you that would express my deep love for you, and for our unending friendship. We see each other in ways no one will understand. We have our own separate language and share the same smile, while embracing our differences all at the same time. My maid of honor, my big sister, and my best friend. You are the best auntie to my daughter and I pray you always remember that. To my older brother Joe.. We have grown up together to be strong people individually, yet we still share a common bond between us. We've made so many fun memories that I will cherish forever... And my sweet husband. Without you, there would be no me. I met you at age fifteen, and twenty years later, here we are living proof that love does conquer all. My mate to my soul... and my line to my life... -always and forever. I don't know what I did to deserve you, but you will always be my better half. Lastly, to my beautiful little itty bitty Ella Rose. How did I get so blessed? How is it possible that I could have the honor of being your mother? My dear sweet rose, you are beautiful when you are laughing and even more when you're sassy. My favorite person in the whole world. Without you I wouldn't be the same. Your beauty brings sunshine to me... Sunshine that never goes away even on the cloudiest day... My family. I love them. I cherish them. I need them. I thank them. Perfection in Your Affection

I know you're the guy for me
And one day I'll make you see, true love really can come free.

I swear we're perfect for each other
And together we will stay, through whatever weather.

You're my better half, you're my Superman
You're my livin dream dream, my greatest fantasy
You're my everything.

So baby, trust me, and just take my hand.

'Cause you're my greatest find, you're my favorite ride
You're my Valentine, my sweet rollin tide
You're my everything.

And I Love You.

Treasures of my Heart

In my memory, a treasure leaps,
A gift from grandma, to clean my cheeks!
A tiny green bar of soap,
With a handle, made of rope!
In the shower, my heart sang,
Outside the door, stood the gang!
They had much fun at my expense,
Joy and laughter, comes from thence!

Playing Jack’s, with my first best friend,
and sharing secrets, without end!
Flourishing into fine young ladies,
bringing about bouncing babies!,
Learning how to be good wives,
and learning to live separate lives!
A sister’s love, may not last forever,
as a cherished treasure, she’ll leave me never!

Then there’s the apple of my eye,
He’s really an awesome guy!
From that first day, when he held my hand;
I knew by him I would always stand!
Our passion arose, from flirtation,
then love grew, without limitation!
I know he is truly my better half;
he makes me glow; he makes me laugh!

Little diamonds, in the rough,
Give me glory, sure enough!
The pitter patter of their feet,
Their laughing, crying, sure was sweet!
Precious memories is what’s left,
their growing up, feels like a theft!
Many treasures, I can’t pick!
They just grew up way to quick!

My time of sorrow, my aching heart,
The loss of mom, and a brand new start!
She never ever left my side,
With her gentle touch, she did chide!
I can’t find words to express my sadness,
or the memories, we had in gladness!
Her presences come, in my dreams,
and my broken heart her love seams!

In this place, full of my treasures,
I find Jesus, without measures!
Of these worldly rich’s I have plenty,
But without Jesus, I am empty!
I dance, I sing in pure delight,
since this Jewel, made me right!
All my treasures, reside within,
Within my chest, where I begin!

Lord Valentine's Heart

To thee, my love, I send a well worn heart
though wrapped in crimson satin and unbeating
I fill it with sweet meats and love's entreating's
Oh please return, we've been too long apart.

I brood at break of dawn and setting sun
behind the velvet cloth of our bower.
I stare from arched turrets in our tower
and strain to hear the homeward hoof beats start.

Hear me now return, I'm left with but a part
of a life not worth living without my dove.
Your Valentine is but a token love,
for needs be, I've much more to impart.

To thee, my better half, my sweetest bride
will you return to me, will you homeward ride.
