Premium Member Lullaby My Lustrous Twilight

Golden-flecked bliss
of enraptured blown-kiss
stardust bestrewn

beguiling skies
bespangled sequin eyes
shimmer in swoon

in midnight hours
from celestial bowers
lift blest voices

balmy hymns calm
serenity’s sweet psalm
saints’ rejoices

O, motherly
heartfelt heavenly night
lullaby my lustrous twilight

Love - swaddle me
in starlit cocoon’s blue
singing silk songs till dawn’s debut

ambrosial dreams
showered in jasmine streams
angels’ water

immerse in sleep
your virtuous well deep
baptized daughter

melodic sky
divinity’s stars sigh
spiritual

nirvana floats
seraphs’ musical notes
air's lyrical

O, motherly
heartfelt heavenly night
lullaby my lustrous twilight

Love - swaddle me
in starlit cocoon’s blue
singing silk songs till dawn’s debut

Bespangled
she sashays up the shore
from a sequin gowned sea
wearing the undulating waves
of aquamarine and ambrosial sheen
adorned with shimmering and shivering seeds of excitement

A thousand beaded fingertips
trace her coral curves
whispering sweet nothings
in the luscious language of brine and blue
drizzling down
her sea-salted soul-case
teasing and tempting
her cooled honeyed patina
to passionately impearled pertness

Enraptured as he is
enticed by her dreamscape
the yearning senescent sands sigh~
longing for relics of rose-water regrets.

~BROKEN TRUST~ ( Collaboration with David Williams )

by~ DAVID WILLIAMS

A Broken Trust Yet still,
my heart aches for you
All love, all liking, now lost forever
We are not even a drop of rain, just vapour
Like dew-bespangled flowers, I weep
All love all liking now lost, forever
No longer will I drink your silvery voice
Like dew-bespangled flowers I weep.
My thirst for you, I cannot quench
No longer will I drink ,your, silvery voice
Betrayed, from trickled poisonous words
My thirst for you I cannot quench.
That first gentle, shy, sweet kiss
Betrayed from, trickled poisonous words
I trusted you, above all others
That first gentle shy sweet, kiss
You were my first true love.

by~ Poet D:

A kiss so sweet, I needed more clarity
Yet my heart aches the same way.
Growing hearts is inevitable, ours grew without morning dew.
How could you ever love me, so shy, I slipped away.
A kiss, I became someone else to please you!
Only to let you see the sweetness you clearly wanted to see.
The deepness in my eyes could not follow.
The dullness of my heart spoke alone.
Every minute your trust was an empty glass.
Rarely I used and held on to the weakness, of the heart.
The chastity around the moon injured my bloom.
Like the night that goes through a phase~
The sunrise will dry every drop of our mist.
Strong Solitude walls built, with broken tears.
After my hunger drowned our eyes with venomous words.
Deep down, I will always long for you ~my first true love

A Jewish Curse 1

Bite Me

May fortune fall upon you
And give you riches by the slew
A mansion huge with twenty rooms
Designed into the finest style
And in each room bespangled glass

And because you are a wretched ass
and lack a gentlemanly guile
leaving nothing to presume
May diarrhea follow you
from one to twenty rooms

The Matchless, Unparalelled Artist of the Universe

Yes as inspired by great poet Brian Johnston, I retitle this, ''God's kind of poetry.''

Glorify the Great
Architect
Awesome artist of nature
Author of the universe,

Glorify God
for beauty infinite,
For the markings bedecked
for the striped and the spotted,
The mottled and the dotted
for the gold bedecked
for the glint 'n' glitter bespangled
For the fawns speckled
And other animals dappled.
The cobras bespectacled!
Variety in flora and fauna.
His creation's so beauteous
whether it hath markings
or be it plain,
it's all simply wondrous.

But for God's sake, let that fur
be left solely on its owner
for poachers don't own it
nor do they the python's skin.
So hunters and poachers beware
Unless nobody does care
 any longer
if beauty be extinct!

Opt for other options
for your pillowcasing eiderdowns
Don't strip the feathered fauna
of their fine downy gowns!

Be ye cautious about culling or killing
Let no blood be rapaciously spilling
So forever humanbeings may admire
God's stippled effects on animals
And His ripple effect on river canals!

Premium Member Hosanna To Christ the King

A herald announced the joyous news that a king was to visit my hometown!
Jerusalem was abuzz anticipating seeing a royal king wearing a regal crown!
I could visualize his majesty arriving on a prancing Arabian steed,
Or being borne upon a lavishly bespangled camel of exceptional breed!

I'd also heard that kings were borne in magnificent coaches gilt with gold,
And that with great pomp and blare of trumpets their procession was foretold!
This I wanted to see so I joined the milling throng and got a curbside seat!
Thousands of jubilant celebrants lined both sides of the city's dusty street!

"Here He comes!" shouted the mob! "Hosanna In the Highest!", they cried!
I strained my neck to see a real king in purple robes, the nation's pride!
The exultant crowd spread their cloaks and waved palm fronds along the mews,
Shouting, "Hosanna To Christ The King! The promised Messiah of Good News!"

This king, this King of Kings, rode a lowly donkey as His means of transportation!
I was told that a prophet Zecharia said He'd ride one for His triumphal celebration!
As He passed by I fell to my knees! He looked directly AT ME!, smiled and waved!
From that moment I became His disciple - straight paths for me He hath paved!

The man next to me said this man, this King, was born in a stable cave,
And that of His power to heal the ailing, blind and lame He freely gave!
Unlike earthly kings, He even promised eternal life for a sinner like me!
From this day forward I'll forever follow that good man from Galilee!

A Longing

Yet still my heart beats for days now blurred
Two beats were counted, only one was heard

We are not even a drop of rain, just vapour
United to be once more, no clouds can conjure

All love, all liking now lost… forever!
Dreams and memories, time tries to sever

Like dew-bespangled flowers alone I weep
The spray turns to rain, colours never keep

No longer will I drink your silvery voice
Destiny meant, I could not make a choice

A longing and thirst for you I cannot quench.
The cup floating in air, unable to reach.

A collaboration with my great friend (from somewhere far from me - overseas), David Willams, who has not judged me through my tragedy and encouraged me to continue to write.

Two minds thinking in sequence - I dedicate this to my beloved son.

Premium Member A King and His Donkey

Some kings are borne in magnificent coaches gilt with gold.
With great pomp and blare of trumpet, their procession is foretold.
Others are borne on ornate sedan chairs, clad in purple gowns.
Upon their royal brows rest elaborate, jeweled crowns.

Christ forsook such trumpery for His triumphal celebration.
Instead, He chose a lowly donkey as His means of transportation.
Thro' the streets of Jerusalem the Man of Galilee was borne;
He of royal lineage, destined to wear a crown of thorn.

Exultant crowds spread cloaks and palm fronds along the mews,
Shouting "Hosanna In the Highest!", to the herald of Good News!
This festive occasion was revealed by the Prophet Zecharia,
Who foretold that a humble donkey would bear the great Messiah!

Tho' The Prince of Peace could've sat upon a prancing Arabian steed,
Or a lavishly bespangled camel of exceptional breed,
This modest yet majestic preacher, teacher, physician,
Chose to ride a simple donkey to fulfill His earthly mission.

Tho' the Savior of humankind was in a lowly stable born,
And suffered a lifetime of ridicule, hate and scorn,
He endured trials and temptations but overcame such things,
And arose victorious o'er the grave to become the King of Kings!

This plume of mortal breath—
mere puffs of silver smoke
beneath a vast, bespangled sky.
The moon, close and looming,
sheds eerie light in a lustrous beam,
while motes of delicate stardust,
like specks of a thousand dreams,
dance in its lucent path
to eternity.

First Light

how bright the dew
in the sunlight
each drop
a picture of a world remade

down by the dock herons watch
rainbows riding over silver fish

time shows-up as a water road
journeying to just here

this place where dawn dew
mirrors a million first lights
gleaming out
of a million suns

my dog sniffs at the prismatic air
the light
the new fledged green

she sweeps her furry tail
back and forth
scattering a bespangled sky
behind her
