Yoga In Poem - a Novel Approach 01 of Many

Yoga in Poem - A novel attempt 01/ Many

YOGA is a priceless gift given by great ancient Indian
saints for every human being through Vedas. I am
trying to bring one step each week before all my
known and unknown friends of Poetry Soup and for
other viewers for a glimpse of this treasure of India,
which in fact is a gift of Good Health
for the entire humanity.

Meditation Step 01

Meditation remains
The essence of healthy living
And the most precious
Gift given to humans
By the Almighty God.

We think and think
And puzzle our mind
With ideas and emotions
With worries and
Irrelevant thoughts.

This goes on in our minds
Ever since we find that
We have grown-up
To know and understand
And to behave with
The world.

But unfortunately
From that very time
We unknowingly start
Worrying also and
Sometimes
Not only during daytime
But even
When we are in sleep.

This never ending
Row of worries and worries only
Sometimes for reasons
And often without a season
Have become a habit
To lament
On what we have and
More on,
What we do not have.

This constant
Lamentation and pondering
Brings and form shape
A Free Gift for all of us
In the form of slow poisoning
Which we inhale and drink
Every day and every moment
When we breathe and talk
When we love or walk
When we behave and misbehave
When we are in a haste and
Even when
We lie on a cot
Or when we fight
Without a cause.

This constant thinking and
Worrying
Slowly destroy everything
Good and great in our heart
Given by the Almighty God.

But meditation and Yoga
Can restore
What we often unknowingly
Just throw away
By our day and night worrying
Which continues
When we go to sleep or
Are busy in accomplishing our tasks.

Meditation and Yoga
Can restore
What we often unknowingly
Have lost
By our worries
While sleeping and even while
Accomplishing our tasks
With a gift of better and healthy life.

Approach Me Slow Or I Will Go

I am like a fragile deer
Approach carefully and beware
Not to startle me or I
Will run off, I'm very shy
If your slow and really quiet
With your love I just might try it
But be speedy and go fast
You will not even get past
Saying hello, you will lose
So be cautious how you choose
To start this relationship
Use a loose and gentle grip
You'll get all of my attention
My heart will have no objection
I will stay without the fear
Knowing your heart really cares
But a tight grip holding me
Will make me go wild and free
No chance of me giving you
Love and care a lifetime through
I've been run off by too many
Men who thought that they had plenty
Of charisma, grace and charm
Which just caused a lot of harm
So now I am very skittish
Think about the choices of this
Be smart, don't come at me quick
Because you think your so slick

Premium Member Sky Feelings Approach the Meadow

Sky feelings
gently traveling
past rainbow ledges
away from tall grasses
that smile at the ruffling.

Sky feelings floating
past majestic oak trees, the
keepers of the aged secrets,
champions of the forest,

Sky feelings, approaching the
fragile, dainty flowers
who rapidly conjure up their own
unique feelings

Sky feelings, looking for a naïve or mushroom,
who can retain the peace they
were asked to bring to
the meadow.

____________________________________________________________

Walking through the corridors of my dream,
Down the boulevard of anguish, it seems,
Breathing in the knell of an unreadable sky,
Haunt Harbinger hypostatization, holding high

Dimly lit guests, snow troopers, and a piano key
Playing a dismal dirge, an internal funeral melody.
Insightful memories on the dark side warn us
Anger and passion, the cusp of nuclear dourness

Letters written in sepia script, a child's scare
In this circumstance, an illustration of despair
A startled, hoary invoice manifests in the mail.
Chaste in Gulag, cognizant of the time roll on stale

Shattering and breaking through the glass box.
The axe grooves on raw wood and blocks.
A misheard song, carefully shattering a splash.
The spear is reflected in the water by a slash.

Hope mirrors shake fate spears to consume.
A rare bedazzlement, a reflection of optimism.
Swords of inertia rattle, eager for consumerism.
But I drudge, unfazed, in this dream, I resume

Where the power of a single act of kindness
Can shatter darkness and bestow brightness.
I walk on, carrying the weight of the past.
But never forget that it won't last.

In this dream, I find solace and peace.
In the midst of chaos, pain, and cease
The blue sky is melting into green.
A symbol of hope, of a raw scene.

Yoga In Poem a Novel Approach Step 2

Sukhasana – The Easy Pose Step 02
Posture -

Step of the Week

The easy posture to start with. Just sit on any flat comfortable ground (it should not be spongy ground or beds). Fold your legs at the knees that one foot rests inside your knee fold of your opposite leg and the other foot is on the ground beneath the knee ford of the opposite leg. This is the easiest pose to start practicing Yoga till you learn and practice to sit in the next right pose for Yogic breathing we would learn as Padmasana.

Sukhasana – The Easy Pose

In Praise of Sukhasana

When one sits
In this easy pose
To start practicing Yoga
The mild reconditioning
Of your nervous system
Starts to take you
In the realms of
Those shining stars
Which exists in
Tranquility and peace.

Gaining peace of mind
Remains the ultimate goal
Of every human being and
It began to show its
Beauty on your mind
And your heart
As soon as you start Yoga
To get filled with
The inner joy of peace
To feel the light of your God.

This simple posture would
Slowly eliminate
Your exhaustion and fatigue
Giving you
A highly needed relaxation and relief.

Even if you have strained yourself
By hard labor or games
You will feel
A soothing touch
In your mind and body
Which start creating its affects
As soon as you practice Yoga.

Your daily practice would slowly take you
In the realms of peace
And gradually Yoga would start
It’s functioning of rejuvenating
Your vital organs
For a better performance
Which are the key?
To happiness and
Your fitness and love for all.

Premium Member Rewards of a Civil Approach

While some are always compelled to incite
Others reap rewards by being polite

Civility is challenging when views contrast
But much is gained when anger's surpassed

The social conventions of propriety
Reduce stress in a multicultural society

Acceptance of others' points of view
Even without concurrence carry you through

Exploring through debate, avoiding anger
A productive path for civil anglers

Failure to allow for differences
Wins no friends, no spiritual references

You may think you're "right," but get real
How does antagonism make you feel?

Far better to realize we've something to learn
By reaching across the aisle, respect we earn

Civility and Congress seem incongruous
Perhaps that's why we're in such a mess

So open your hearts to others' opinions
Learn from the actions of a wise Virginian

By reaching compromise in his Declaration
Jefferson gave birth to the world's freest nation

My Approach To the Future

When I am seventy-four
I will apologize.
It will be a narrative
of explanations,
an elaborate blush.
I will say
“oh God”
to smooth the past.

Approach

Sledge hammers breaking
Through the invisible walls
Holding me hostage

Chip away the pain
Moving toward releasing
The bricks and mortar

Where is my power?
My strength is dissipating
My resolve so weak

Needing to move on
Two heavy feet are throbbing
My balance is off

Summoning courage
I swing wildly back and forth
Expecting a change

To Approach Divinity

The token of life
is greater than the world formed.
Love of a carnal wealth shuns
     God. Revere, adulate,
Lionize… For God so love the world…

Life is just token
given by God for courage.
     Revere, adulate, lionize
For God so love the world
he sired a son on earth to save.

The First Approach

Away...

Spot her from far.
Have a tingle mingle all over your skin.
Award your forehead a scratch
As you do the arduous estimations
Of the remaining catwalk steps
Before her beauty kisses your eyes.
Let sanity flee from your mind.
(That's OK.Never mind.
Angels are never meant
For sane minds)

Coming your way...

Prepare to talk to her
Practise how to greet her
Whisper to yourself a greeting
Whose sweetness tricks
Your zygomaticus muscle
Into a seductive smile.
Then bite your lower lip alluringly
As the best Romeo and Juliet scene
Overwhelms the whole of you.
Enjoy the roller-coaster feeling
Of a heart that forgets its own rhythm.

A few minutes away...

To get on top of your muddled up feelings
And wake up the confidence demon
Wave your head in a 'NO' manner.
Grab a gorgeous gazale gaze of her.
Don't allow the jealous of a blink
To spoil this monumental moment.
Sink your nervousness deep
Inside the well of sighs.
Cast a blind eye on the people's eyes
Or acknowledge them as your cheerleaders.

It's about time...

Breathe in.
Breathe out.
Breathe in.
Breathe out.
Elevate your hands like a clergyman in prayer
Just to inspect the odour of your exhaled air
That will transport your practiced greeting.
Regulate your lungs to spray your Rose
With nothing but the fragrance of roses.

It's time now...

Exactly when she gets near
Cockily say, 'Good morning, Madam.'
Immediately after the words slip
Away from the tip of your lip,
Remember that, 'Afternoon'
Is almost embarking on her sleep
And that the Madam title is ...
Cover your mouth instantly
As if trying to capture back the awakward greeting
Fancy the way she disguises
Her guffaws as a smile-
Revealing her pretty dimples
Concealed in the soft flesh of her cheeks

Almost...

Observe her as she catwalks it away
Leaving you dumbstricken all the way
Listen until her footsteps die away
Start scratching your backhead right away
Wondering which spell she used
To transmute your 'Hey Pretty Lady'
Into a 'Good morning, Madam'
During such perceivable old noon hours!
Blame yourself the whole day.
Tighten your fist like Muhammad Ali
Preparing to release his Sunday punch.
Then with a suppressed sigh sadly say:
TOMORROW will be a better day!

Tomorrow...

Approach of Death

Amidst of all, catched those eyes
Immortality of affection in those…
Was the only attraction for me,
But the ignorance of that soul…
Always let me to fade away that attraction,
The painting of that affection
Was full of colors until my arrival,
Clocking ticking and the seasons' changing
Colors started going away and…..
And…and they slightly laughed at me
For not respecting when they were with me, and then…
I started climbing the ladder that leads to death
Slowly and steadily I was getting near to its bed
Feeling, of that darkness where nobody is alive,
Started approaching me, and in a while
Was about to hug me and its intentions….
Were not that truthful, it wanted to embrace me
And it seemed that, that embrace would last forever.

The Mimosa Approach

A chilled but passionate solution
Bubbly mix with bracing sensation
Dashes of bittersweet fruit in flute
Sends forth your day in joyous pursuit

An inward touch of coy affection
Close to perfect prime of your generation
Afar I lay on your sinuous path
As frivolous lace of vast green swath
