'Neath umbra skies I seek a mirrored moment
the breeze a capricious charmer
blows serpentine sways to life
a ballet of tall switchgrass dancers
sweeping edges raspy green
dulling in the ever dimming light
their brassy symphony a soft cymbals’ siss
lure my thoughts to ramble a willowy maze
mesmerizing my mental landscape at sunset
whispers lulling my linger
moon-shimmer lends its voice
to chanting chimes in magenta magic
dropping notes afloat on aging August’s currents
like a sprinkling of stardust
upon a cradlesong
hymns of Venus vespers soothing me
my silhouette glides
a twilight shadow an astral body
with a vitality all its own
as the unwed wind ushers
my air brushed footsteps
to where wild whimsy wafts my sighs
free from fetters
a fading breath liberated to dusk
vibrations in violet call my name
I have found the echo to my essence
a spirit aswirl in a whirl of charcoal veils -
I seize a sylph’s escape
and amidst the darkened veils.. we dance

Here In The Now, Amidst Fleeing Of Twilight
Here in the now, amidst the pale twilight
that fleeting moment, - dying of the night
that most precious air, - dying of the light
cometh, morn's breath, - its beautiful new sight.
Here in the now, within mind's newest eye
that pondering thought, - let my spirit fly
that exquisite joy, - sweetest tears I cry
cometh, renewed hope, - truth I'll not deny.
Here in the now, as that whisper so thrills
that divine promise, - love needing no pills
that merciful vow, - relief from world's ills
cometh, beautiful truth, - love over-spills.
Here in the now, amidst fleeing of twilight
That stirring moment, - waking God's divine might.

Note (1.):
Poem born from a dream last night
awakening to a day so bright
as twilight's new rays therein gift,
sweet poetic words to uplift,
heart and soul into joyous praise
relief was born from dark malaise.
Note (2.)
A new month, a vow to have a new and positive new start.
To attempt to compose more positive and uplifting verse.
To deny the dark clouds that attempts to overcome
To walk in the light and deny the dark that seeks to destroy....

Sonnet
Though thunderous noises besiege me
And menacing flames threaten my being
I will gaze upon wondrous works of creation
And trust that I should not fear
Amidst potent floods, I will stand
Anxiety may hang thick as clouds above me
And though I trod through dark, murky waters
My feet, by God's grace, planted well
For who keeps the ocean tucked in its bed?
Who bids the caterpillar, sleep and sprout wings?
If He cares so much for these creations
There is no doubt, He cares for me!

AMIDST POUNDS OF FORCE and FURY
Conscious cold clouds sweeping, killing softly the suns bright,
romancing evocatively with the winds, aghast it blows! Blows!
Gray to black are the skies shadows. Shafts of light longer,
they tantalize in between blows joined clear by a decibel bang!
Frightened golden grains for harvest, helpless! They bend down
and so are the piteous bushes, unashamed, waving their arms
as if crying out for immediate rescue but no one is there...
Drops to dagger liquid sequins fall heavily unto them nonstop.
Amidst pounds of force and fury from the natural forces,
I, glad to be cocooned by the rhythmic rise and fall of his chest.
Wrapped tight to his arms, my heart is soaking with contentment,
his drizzling caresses flood my nerves, I am all giddy inside...

In ruined scatter witnessing the greys into black
Why has it come to this as us humans finally lack
Through my eyes bloodied looking down on such
Crossed I've become in frenzied scarred mode
As to I I'm in awe as to the I that fuses
Centurions from Legions brave, showing confuse
To my left to my right seeing said damnest like I
In wondering their theirs as to their paraded
Mirrored like I that they require I be masqueraded
The tolling bell has spoken as I enter my demise
As I hang above paradise seeing cawing crows fly
Images of my existence, forever, eternally why

Amidst a dissonance of human sound,
the constant hum of voices as each swarm
of people pushed onto the streets, the pound-
pound-pounding workers made, which like a storm
rained in my ears, my mind‘s eye glimpsed a thing
that could not be of this unholy sphere:
a woman, nymph-like, on a glassy ring
of wintry pond. . . and all that I could hear
was breath of wind, the song to which she danced.
I marveled as she effortlessly spun.
She beckoned me, but then as I advanced,
she gracefully collapsed, her dancing done.
The blaring of a car’s horn jolted me
back into city life’s reality.

Sonnet
This barren night along dim street
where lamp posts hide drops of gold flakes,
and thorny weeds crack at her feet
to sift death's crumbs, throwing keepsakes.
Yesterday's thoughts scream much bolder
alone now, pinned by heart’s lesion
missing groom's compassionate flair;
as anguish sigh in procession.
Fractured mind plays a tortured game
that sorrow drifts without relief,
chasing lost hours in timeless frame
while bleak clouds linger like a thief.
And darkened soul pours acid rain
till beads of moonlight kiss wet eyes,
stars dripping bigger than tears’ stains
to wake faith’s songs, new quests arise.

"without a care in the world the Grouse freely roam"
A quiet hush abounds amidst the scenic Highland Glens
Whilst saltire skies above silhouette a Golden Eagle against it's blue
Swooping shadowing heathers to return to soar above the Ben's
It's keen eyes in capture seeing movements amongst the mornings dew
For chicks it has to feed, from the heights down she flew
In quiet posture
Amongst the ruins of a croft
A Kestrel perches
Caressing the horizon
In awe, but so vigilant
On skeletal branches, crows a caw-
their safety in numbers allow

as lover's stroll amidst the morning hush
silent eyes yawn, stumbling fingers entwine
whilst through frothy waves reflective skies blush
squalling seagulls sip the morning sunshine
silent eyes yawn, stumbling fingers entwine
as playful dolphins tumble in the waves
squalling seagulls sip the morning sunshine
through the mist, sandpiper perched on the staves
as playful dolphins tumble in the waves
momentary embrace of lover's lips
through the mist, sandpiper perched on the staves
as darkness excites in solar eclipse
momentary embrace of lover's lips
silently gazing at horizon's edge
as darkness excites in solar eclipse
trailing footsteps fade out from ocean's ledge
silently gazing at horizon's edge
whilst through frothy waves reflective skies blush
trailing footsteps fade out from ocean's ledge
as lover's stroll amidst the morning hush

Amidst a flowery meadow we walked this sunny day
Two in love a wandering to find a place to lay
We happen across an Oak tree, as old as old can be
Below it's green filled canopy, we lay in love so free
We chatted and chatted for ages amidst this greenery
Our minds knowing our eventual, to be naked and so free
We turn to face each other, leaning in we share a kiss
Our eyes know our looks, to be in desirable bliss
Lips now touch like whispers, in gentle delightful flow
Urging excites our wants, our desires in us grow
Slowly I undo her buttons revealing charms so sweet
Her body reflects my attention, in pertness rising greet
Cupped I kiss her gently, her hands run through my hair
Her torso openly naked, whilst the Oak can only stare
Sighs now resonate across this meadow of colour
She whispers words of crave, delight my wanting flower
I touch, I kiss and caress, this bloom in radiant pink
Two now become one, as we start to love in sync
Frantic kisses now shared in lusting craving require
Our orchestrated echoes confirm our wanting loving desire
Amidst a flowery meadow we walked this sunny day
Two in love a wandering to find a place to lay
Our passion and love flowed in this lovely flowery place
Below the oldest of Oak trees, lovingly we graced

Amidst the stress and strains of life rejoice
Don't fold now, you still can play the hand
Forget old rules, make a new paradigm for choice
The brail and vang is in your will's command
In your heart, just know your cause with God is right
The stakes for all is everything you are
Where your hands toil, work with all your might
And point the stern towards your homing star
Do not quit your dreams now, do not complain or cry
Stand boldly at the bow and keel against the wind
What matters if in the great struggle we die
We could not live forever anyhow, and still we win
For we have opened a path unopened before, and shew
Men how, for the world will after us in glory
But not behind the whimpering soul will any pursue
The grimacing shame of a coward's history.
Know whose you are, and who you are reclaim
For God made you in his image, and set your heart
To have dominion here, to replenish in the flame
Subdue the earth, now with honor do your part!
Tell winds and waves be still, tell the fire break
You have God's glory to your name, stand and fight
Do not quiver, let not the sun-centered rod shake
Day comes the morning after the darkest night.

Verse
Amidst golden sands on a blanket I sit
Surrounded by voices of beauty I admit
Summer breezes caress swaying reeds on the stem
Birds look for seeds as they are welcomed by them
Waves change to breakers as they change back to waves
Upon golden sands they caress day after day
The chattering of birds as they glide overhead
If we could understand them, hear their words that are said
To the waters edge I walk barefoot on the sands
Admiring such scenery no matter where I stand
The intermittent feeling as the waves brush my skin
Allows me to comprehend as I take it all in
The afternoon passes as the evening now descends
As I say farewell to the beach and the waves that never end
But I shall return to the place that never sleeps
To add to existing memories, that I'm fortunate to keep

There amidst the Sunday throngs,
People sunbathe in their thongs.
Passersby are few who lack
The will to just ignore the crack.
Since it is a public park,
There for all from dawn ‘til dark,
There will always be some nuts
And displayers of their butts.
Freedom has a price we pay,
Including bodies on display.
So if a PG-scene you seek,
You’ll learn to turn the other cheek!

We each define ourselves
by choice of words we speak,
the things we do, or seek,
within our minds they delve.
We cannot say some elves
have tricked our minds when weak.
We can’t presume to know
so practice some restraint,
or make faux pas then faint.
To you my friends, I show
I care but don’t kowtow,
please know I’m not a saint.
Diverse, we still expect
some semblance of respect.
