A child
Foaming at the mouth
Dying
Islam crying

Sunni tears
Shia tears
Drowning in each others fears
Off with the masks

Wear your smiles
Give heart and cheerful warmth
Not lectures and verse
Allow us women to converse

Follow the Surahs of compassion
Forgive the Surahs of revenge
Lets all grow red roses in our gardens
So that bombs of blood stop raining

On our children
Sunni and Shia civil wars
From bloodshed to others shores
Christians shout, no more!

Syria the infection
From Russian injection
Islamic horrors
Where is the west?

Whispered Affections

Whispered Affections

Whispered affections
on cold cotton winds
float gently this morning
in search of your smile

So in them you’ll hear
every feeling I send
of wintertime wishes
to hold for a while

Though in this sunrise
of dawn’s early scene
the distance seems farther
that we are apart

Still I can not help
but to follow my dream
for this love is endless
that flows from my heart

Good morning Soupers

Alas, the art of winning a woman's affections is long forgotten: tenderness and esteem!

Springtime Affections

My love, your breath, fresh as a spring breeze,
Caresses my face, with a wondrous tone,
As your sweet lips, approach mine, we moan.
For expectation, of such pleasurable tease,
For there is no time, for emotions to please,
Our brief moments, are barely, only a loan.
For passion delivers, future beautifully alone,
Our ecstasies of movements together, appease.

After spring, before the heat of summer time,
Our ardor grows; grows within each heart.
Our touch, Heavens blessing, to each other,
These moments, hours, days have no crime.
Together forever, our souls, never part,
Our spirits are free, to love; never smother.

GEMTLE AFFECTONS

In my fairy tale world of pure invention,
On the deep forest floor,
A cute little rodent darts, scurries, brushes
      whiskers
And charms the soul unto gentle affection

More than affection, it’s wonder,
Wonder at the thought of safe haven
Where the hard, noisy giant has been shut out,
Where, midst universal turmoil, gentle affections
      can softly settle

In this eye of wishful musing a rich soil is clean
One may wander barefoot, gaze bare faced,
With no lanes or lines of fear smoking

I would settle gentle affections on these deep
      woods,
Go where children play, run barefoot, happy,
Without conflicting thought of life’s demanded
      plan

Esra’a and Harif
From so far way
Never met
Not yet anyway

Twins of the soul
Sharing humanities goals
Scared of shadows and nefarious ways
Hero's whose wisdom I hope shall last and stay

I cry for the strong ones however meek
Wishing them peace for the bravery they speak
Walking along that long river of hope
It pours rain on my breast as solace I grasp and grope

As Flowers Need Watering, Affections Need Nurturing

Love needs communicating.
Communicating takes time.
Time needs prioritizing.
Prioritizing takes reflection.
Reflection takes desire.
Desire needs discipline.
Discipline takes commitment.
Commitment needs accountability.
Accountability takes openness.
Openness needs understanding.
Understanding takes someone.
Someone needs reminding.
Reminding takes love.

Riddles of Mom's Affections

Am I just too blind?
For not seing the good intension of you?

Am I just too deaf?
For not hearing any good reason from you?

Am I just too numb?
For not sensing all the love that you shed?

I thought I just too dead to live within your world

No more words capable to solve
Enough fed by your conflicts and dramas
Understanding you cost the rest of my life
Or I cost the rest of my life to understand the love of you

We never really speak
We puzzled in our own existences
Knowing you is like walking in the dusty haze
Knowing me is like climbing on a thousand feet of sturdy wall

Talking about us
Talking about spot that never been fully
We lacked in our bond
But still... This is the undeniable life

From you I stand this day
Wether I should regret or be thanked
There will be no me without you
There will be no us beyond you

Premium Member My God, Thank You For Setting My Affections On You

November 21 Scripture Meditations Based on Colossians 3-4

Key Verse – Colossians 3:2 Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.

MY GOD, THANK YOU FOR SETTING MY AFFECTIONS ON YOU

Thank You for setting my affections on You from earthliness
Midst fiery hell’s awful destructiveness
Toward heavenly pursuits with salvation-blissfulness
For my soul’s redemptive fruitfulness.

Thank You for setting my affections on You from vanity
Midst dreary emptiness’ perilous futility
Toward meaningful vocation with honour-dignity
For my eternity’s worthy beauty.

Thank You for setting my affections on You from discontentment
Midst stressful frustrations’ oppressive discouragement
Toward satisfied sufficiency with provision-bestowment
For my spirituality’s fruitful fulfillment.

Thank You for setting my affections on You from transgression
Midst filthy defilement’s sinful intrusion
Toward holy goal with character-transformation
For my sanctification’s righteous function.

Thank You for setting my affections on You from fright
Midst horrible terror’s angry blight
Toward courageous testimony with supplication-might
For my serenity’s peaceful delight.

Thank You for setting my affections on You from arrogance
Midst worldly intellectualism’s haughty malfeasance
Toward humble surrender with meekness-temperance
For my submissiveness’ gentle vigilance.

Thank You for setting my affections on You from solitude
Midst hopeless loneliness’ bitter attitude
Toward joyful service with faith-fortitude
For my worship’s praise-filled gratitude.

Unheard Affections

Affections that cannot be heard
Will float like dreams upon the breeze;
Will drift and never speak a word,
Dancing amongst the grass and trees.

I see you as if through the mist;
Still as you climb into my heart:
All standing, seeing, angel-kissed,
But always from so far apart.

If ever I had chance to tell
The reasons for my panicked flight…
But I cannot find words to spell
This darkness nor this blinding light.

Instead I ever wearily
Sit on my own and ponder what
Was meant that day you came to me;
Of memories that lie forgot.

To that day back I cast my eye,
When from the foggy clouds came you,
As if I fell above the sky,
But then I thought of nothing new.

But time then worked its spell on me;
I could but watch as I was drawn
Towards this visage I still see,
Inside my mind; always forlorn.

Though when I looked into your eyes,
I realised that I had seen
A glimpse of golden summer skies;
So vibrant as this could have been.

But then, with time, my feelings turned
From blissful joy to agony
Or emptiness; inside I burned
And cried to bring you close to me.

And now, within this state of mind,
Affections weigh down upon me;
For nowhere else I seem to find
Somebody who could set me free.

And now afflicting me is this;
This heavy burden falls on me
With heavy heart, as you I miss,
And heavy it shall always be.

So little matters to me now
That I no longer hear a thought
And I no longer wonder how
The flow of time could have been bought.

You dance amongst the grass and trees;
Affections still cannot be heard;
Still dreamily float on the breeze
And utter not a single word.
I see you, still, from through the mist
But here, the angels have not kissed.

Affections

You affect my heart so deeply
Oh, what an effect you have on me
Today, you make me glad
Yesterday, you made me sad
Tomorrow, what effect will you have on me?
My heart is longing for painless affection

Casing Affections

whether in deep of dark
whether brightest of noonday
there's always eyes askance
casing out the come-what-may

checking angles broadly obtuse
to meaning of some stances
and other sideways glances
seeing what they can deduce

dressed in black sleek style
with shiny silent-soled shoes
steeling their desires awhile
looking affections to peruse

undecided won't be chided
on what may happen possibly
taking what comes in stride
capers can happen plausibly

who's the thief and who's
the hapless victim can be
in love's game hard to choose
pilfered affection too pat to see

yet if i am your prize you
might then surmise that i too
a second-story man pull a coup
to steal your heart, in full view

just be aware that life ain't fair
and goods are taken every day
some want more than a share
of hearts affections to take away

Endless Affections

Endless Affections

I know nothing but
A love in her smiles.
Years passed without a date;
Love was disappearing in miles.
The distance of time and place,
Mountains and valleys,
The love failed to race.
In the silence of many days,
The wind blew the message:
“For not giving up,
There is always a wage,
That’s to enjoy our hope.”
A bird in the sky
Made a nest
For us to stay
And our love to rest.

Unspoken Affections: Part-VI

staring into your eyes but 10 seconds  seemed bit harder
hot flush from your stare and I felt my cheeks grew warmer
your face slacking happiness and heart covered in dark gray
i wanted to whisper you ‘my love’ and tell you i’m here for you
putting your faith in me, you uttered your agonizing  account
if i tell you ‘I love you’, would you let me share your pain?
