Abandonment

Embraces shatter, leaving timeless stories,

Wrapped in butterfly nets, tied with velvet ribbons.

Tangled cob webs and ghost blankets.

Restless feelings and Kodak moments.

Wasting into forever,

Alone, rotting in the pantry.

Forgotten happiness, buried by sorrows,

Telling tomorrow, yesterday’s lies.

A hollow soul searching for absent pieces,

Going nowhere, tires spinning in mud.

Falling from grace,

Finding no one to catch you.

Reaching out, clutching entirely on air.

Clouds of fog slide between fingertips,

Walking through mist, traveling over quicksand,

Trying to find light during a Midnight Sun.

A solitary fragment in a sea of glass.

Hearing the sound of silence for the first time.

The empty feeling unarrival brings,

Knowing abandonment.

Quiet Tears

Visions of me occupy your days
my life’s been planned in intricate ways.
And though my future’s set in your mind
I’m skillfully taught your wish is blind.

I've been manipulated for years
achieving your dreams with quiet tears.
And never sure what to say or do
I've become a reflection of you.

I lived my teens by your golden rule
repressing love while playing the fool.
Yet I'm a hollow soul without spark
alive I exist, empty and stark.

Over the years you’re pleased as can be
accomplishing all your goals though me.
And you don't even pretend to care
I'm but a shadow barely aware.

You’re defiantly proud of your deed
molding my life you swore you’d succeed.
And the look in your eyes seals my fate
for there is no love, there is no hate.

MONOTONY

WORK SLEEP REPEAT
WORK SLEEP REPEAT
THE SAME OLD SORRY STORY
THE SAME MONOTONY
EVERY DAY THE SAME
NO FUN NO JOY NO CHANGE
ALL I WANT IS TO BE FREE
OF THIS DAMN MONOTONY
MY HEART HAS NO FULLFILLMENT
I'M JUST A HOLLOW SOUL
GOING THROUGH THE MOTIONS
AS I DIG MY SHALLOW HOLE.
I SMILE ON THE OUTSIDE
HIDE WHAT YOU CANNOT SEE
THAT INSIDE I AM SCREAMING
PLEASE END THIS MONOTONY
I WANT TO STOP THE CYCLE
I NEED TO LEARN TO TRY
TO FIX THE SITUATION
TEACH MY SOUL TO FLY.
IT'S TIME TO FIND THE COURAGE
TO UNDO THIS LOCK AND KEY
AND SOAR INTO THE UNKNOWN
 LEAVE THIS MONOTONY

Driving Me Crazy

Tears like Rain,
That pour from Pain,
Asking God to Hold Me and keep me Sane......

A Hollow Soul,
And a Empty Vessel,
Is all of me, that Remains......

But yet, Day after Day,
I Stride and Try Hard to Maintain.....
For there's a part of me that wants to stop,
I'd felt as if I we're the Blame.....

Jaded memories of our past,
Left behind a Permanent Stain....
Not even Cigarettes or Champagne,
Could began to sooth the Strain....

Yet the only gain that I received,
Was Great Deal of Chest Pains....

Sadden, Lonely and Vague,
And still my tears, they flow like Rain......

''The Devils' Own''

Who are you?-Shared curse.
Marked in malice as vengence burns.
Lost eyes creep the stare of stone.
Breathe fire to speak words that shatter glass.
Let forbidden truth emerge.
Your wicked silence tells the tale of a hollow soul.
You are a product of sickened disgrace.
I need only forget your face.
Bring ease to this wrench I hold.

Great Big Words

I'm really quite confused
About this thing we love
I'm talking about our poetry
That's sent from God above

Sometimes we write simple words
For all can understand
While others write elaborately
With their dictionary close at hand

Well I've never been a genius
And some words I've never seen
These words just drive me crazy
You know the ones I mean

Some are written to entertain
And some to make you cry
Others tell of forgotten dreams
That's somehow passed us by

Why do we use those Great Big words
To get our meaning across
They're just falling by the wayside
And the meaning we had is lost

A poem can be magical
Even fill a hollow soul
So try to keep it simple
With the words that we all know

A Spider Pumpkin

A spider’s nest They all crawl out Scared to death The fear is all yours When they walk on you There’s a loud scream Looking for its source You find it’s you Spider pumpkins line up They all have a face to carve Calm eyes with fierce mouth Lighting their hearts They glow from within They are lit With feelings inside A hollow soul

The Dog, The Bear, And The Maggot

The Dog is structured,
Always working to preserve,
Familial ties.
Diligent service,
Loyal to love and country,
Strong yet still servile.

The Bear is nurtured,
A hunter in fair weather,
Useless in winter.
Promises plenty,
But bleeds his own forest dry,
Water, trees and all.

The Maggot is cankered,
A hollow soul and stomach,
Skulking forest floors.
Can only scavenge,
ON the corpses of others,
And their fellow man.

Brilliant Blasphemy

Burnt like tongues,
in our steaming soup.
Now this taste,
is of ashen anticipation.

The wasted walls of youth
decaying
In due damnation

the very writer of the law,
Indeed the first to break it.
Innocence like spiders,
distressed
when webs were shaken.

ATHENA!
ATHENA!
stripped in naked virtue.
endless clout about you,
and a hollow soul before you.

Filled and then sucked dry,
your love like one would bar tend.
mixed and then poured out,
an oscillating option.

THE CREATURE

Way back when, many years ago;
In the midst of the Sixties, spread your legs, let's go!
An injustice was created,
with a Hollow soul to lose...

A decade and a half later,
  no belief of a Creator;
The tortured child he had become,
  again was alone...

The Creature inside me, this evil within,
     will you experience my Demons,
 or find yourself my friend.

The Creature had matured, mid-explosion, so believed;
Yet, twenty years still to come,
     of reaping that seed...

    What to do, Where to hide;
               Who to kill;
         At whom to smile...

The Creature or boy yearns to destroy,
     the lives that surround me
          and all of their joy...

This Creature is unmerciful, with the thought's that he sows;
    Will this Creature ever die,
           or live on breathlessly,
Just as the end of a sigh...

The Creature lurks deep, can this world survive;
This painful hatred, that makes most mortals cry...

             It lives as it Breathes,
    will it ever retreat;
          The child within,
  still has no belief...

Kiss of Death

She traces her finger along his lips
And smiles with satisfaction
The poison leaves him paralyzed
Just another fatal attraction

She lures them in with her beauty
And keeps them with her kiss
She looks for those who no one knows
A stranger they wouldn't miss

A female Jack the Ripper
But no one knows her name
A hollow soul with a morbid goal
Who plays a deadly game

A widow of sorts with ice in her veins
And all of your money she'll steal
And when she's through I pity you
There's nothing left but to kill

One eye is green the other is blue
So beware of the women you date
I'll tell you this with only one kiss
It will be forever too late

Sad Songs

There's something about those sad songs
That make us want to cry
Written when hearts are broken in two
When someone says goodbye

They play them on the radio
To remind us of our pain
It takes us to an empty place
A place, we can't explain

Sometimes it's just a memory
We never want to lose
We turn out the light late at night
As our hearts start singing the blues

They're written with pain and paper
Whenever you're feeling bad
A verbal tear, we long to hear
A song that makes us sad

There's something about those sad songs
That gives us back control
Written by broken hearted people
And soothes a hollow soul

Letting Go

I thought of a thousand words,
None came out.
Like burnt rubber,
Dry as charred toast
I chocked on letters,
As if nails lined my throat.

I swallowed my brokenness.
My neck bent, heavy from the crown.
I would walk away with nothing,
My loses came with the bet.
Decisions filled with consequences.
Angel wings dipped in tar.

A land filled with no mercy
Only the Strong survive.
Borrowing time, on make believe promises
Digging shallow graves,
Full of tear stained loved
Vultures stay circling low.

Once there was love
Now a hollow soul.
Dust settles over all things
Letting wounds heal.
The only thing now is letting go...
So I cling tightly, while I cry myself to sleep.

Peace Not War

Just trying to live life in peace
The bullies bring you to your knees
They send the fickle off to war
Not knowing what they are fighting for

We hear what they want us to hear
We fear what they want us to fear
Like animals that are penned
They control us til the end

Marching to the tune and pulling the trigger
Brainwashed to make the powerful bigger
Then tossed on a heap with mind fatality
Left to die with no grip on reality

The weak have no fight and have no say
But maybe they are happy and want it that way
Watching the freaks fight for control
As they live life with a hollow soul
