Web of clever lies
In shadows deep where truth does weep, There lies a figure, veiled, asleep. A hypocrite, with words so sweet, Yet actions cold, deceit complete.
With lips that part in righteous guise, They weave a web of clever lies. Their tongue a blade, sharp and keen, But veiled behind a mask unseen.
They preach of love and virtue high, Yet in their heart, corruption lies. Their deeds betray the words they speak, A hollow soul, so dark, so bleak.
They claim to stand for what is right, Yet darkness lurks within their sight. They judge and scorn with righteous zeal, While hiding secrets they conceal.
Beneath the cloak of false facade, The hypocrite walks, proud and flawed. But truth will rise, the mask will fall, Exposing lies, revealing all.
So let us strive for honesty, And cast aside hypocrisy. For in the light of truth, we find, The freedom of an honest mind.
