Premium Member Secret

Heinz baked beans on toasted bread
Topped with pepper and some salt
Just exactly like you said
To endure the morning cold
It’s embarrassing to tell you
I’m still all those miles away
From the places that we knew
From the house on Marroway
What’s the news my dear spirit
How it goes beyond the pale?
Are you bound to keep the secret
Though it looks a bit too stale?
Isn’t it obvious like weather
When apart we aren’t the same
Though again we are together
Every time I call your name..

Happy Easter!
4/5/26

hunger satiated

dim

sun set

need water

thirst with hunger

void stomach rumbles

mind imagines hot meal

with camomile tea and cake

headache fatigue with muscle cramps

I curl into a cold ball of flesh

savoury nutritious meal appears

chilli beans rice almonds raisins

filling stomach warms marrow

hunger satiated

drinking orange juice

thirst is now quenched

time to rest

undress

dream

Premium Member Beans and Rice

Beans and Rice 2
Life these days are beyond expensive
Everyone is just taxed to death
Nothing ever changes
Our government is completely divided
Let just live off of beans and rice
The cost of food is just out-rages
Can’t keep your head above water
Live cheap low as you can go
Not even a dime to spare
Standing in the cold below zero
All of the sacrifice parents make these days
Two jobs, just exhausted to the brink
Living with an empty fridge
We are watched 24/7 under surveillance
Our freedom is lost
Our civil liberties are gone
1776 has vanished
Our very own independence has diminished
Society is crumbling
The world is constantly burning

Today

I can recall, going to work,
from the moment hired,
was more than a chore
until the day when I retired.
Now, I don't care a bag of beans,
it only serves to remind,
as, making the morning coffee,
has become the daily grind.

Premium Member Lima Beans

If you're looking for a taste, unique,
it could be the lima bean you seek,
but if I hear you scoff,
and say its taste is not enoff,
I recommend the leek.

Premium Member Lima Beans

Great Grandpa planted lima beans.
A pot of limas and some greens
will always make my day.
It's just a memory away.
I've got limas in my genes.

Premium Member Mighty Mountain Beans

The expedition was not worth a hill of beans
The outcome did not meet expectations, it seems

So I shaped the beans into a mighty mountain
          ~ One-hundred-thousand steps I’d be countin’

Premium Member Just a Man Who Sorts His Beans

Some say I have OCD
or unbridled paranoia,
but I have a PhD
in edible flora.
They don't know what it means
to be a man who sorts his beans.

Full English

When in the U.S.A., and morning has broken,
'I'll fix breakfast,' are the words I heard spoken.

In reply, I would say, “To the kitchen I'll repair,
mend the coffee and, then, when I'm there,
what's more, I can restore the trash within our dustbin,
just refurbish the rubbish, and take it out, or leave it in.”

Altho' I tend not to be hungry, I've been supine all night,
yet I'll savour the flavour of her fine earthly delight(s).
Get stuck in and tuck in, with gusto, for a fry-up,
as 'shrooms, eggs, rashers and toms will all soon dry up.

But bring on the best of British brekkers,
black pudding, bangers and beans,
as bubble and squeak speaks to me,
if you know what I mean(s).

Premium Member Cabbage And Beans

Far be it
from me to lecture
others on best methods
for success -- myself no paradigm.

In my defense, though,
many of us are hardest
on ourselves, less critical
and gracefully lenient when
it comes to others --

But with self,
constantly aware of every
pimple, even those well
hidden – I often wonder
why so many of us bother
to even own mirrors?
(reflections so subjective)

Too self conscious!~ Like,
who cares what I eat for
breakfast!? Unless it were
cabbage and beans….

A Drink Of Let Go

A Drink of Let Go

Hardy Levis shorts
Stuckup seesaw
Let go of forgot
Now playing
To my mistakes Sounds of chord Shapes in time
Echo at the end before
The meeting has begun
I can't let go
I say what is life
On any casual day
Will I miss the flowers and the.trees
There's a girl over there
we latch on instantaneously
To each others soul
Maybe she can help Maybe setup my life
Maybe I can live again and always do whats right
But I am really living in someone else's dream
Iam seen praying to a human replicator
Praying not to be changed
Serving mischief
Marinated reefer
Wrapped up and traded for gunpowder
The money man
Final wish
Shark food

Has-Beans

One cup was enough
to curl his toes
as caffeine
the psychoactive chemical
allowed no doze
or more than a mug
no matter how roasted
the polyphenols
affected his free radicals
'til he did feel really quite toasted
and yet with no wish to upset
the happy home
after so many years of married life
he chose to grin and bear it
the 'Harried Hubby' syndrome
for altho' his dear wife
brewed her coffee in a pot
bad-tasting as it was
grounds for divorce
it was not

Stimulation

Hot coffee
black coffee
really has the means
when I sup but half a cup
to make me feel
quite full of beans
only one requirement tho'
no decaf if you please
and altho' born in Kenya
where the coffee grows
why it's called
'a cup of Joe'
I'm sure I do not know
but
hot coffee
black coffee
is the best ammo
when I do a mug or two
to give me the right
get up and go
